Servant of the Lake Achievements Guide – Clues & Hints

If you’re playing Servant of the Lake and want to discover the achievements yourself, but you’ve reached the point where one particular clue is driving you slightly crazy, this guide should help.

I’m keeping these as clues and hints rather than full step-by-step solutions. That way, you still get the satisfaction of figuring out what the game wants you to do. Each achievement below has a few hints, starting vague and becoming more direct as you go.

Servant of the Lake Achievements Guide – Clues & Hints

The guide currently covers Day 1 through Day 3 Morning and is a work in progress.

Day 1 Morning Achievements

The Arrival

Achievement Type: Story
Time: Morning, Day 1

This is one of the first achievements you’ll encounter, so don’t overthink it. There’s a small interaction around the horse that is easy to overlook.

  • Clue 1: Something wiggles!
  • Clue 2: One click may not be enough.
  • Clue 3: Think about petting the horse.

If you’re clicking around and nothing seems to happen, try interacting with the horse again rather than immediately moving on.

Preparing Breakfast

Achievement Type: Story
Time: Morning, Day 1

Breakfast isn’t only about the humans. Someone else around the house is definitely interested in what you’re doing.

  • Clue 1: Kitty wants something.
  • Clue 2: What do cats love?
  • Clue 3: Try feeding the cat.

This one is pretty straightforward once you realize the cat is actually part of the morning routine.

Waking up Aldous

Achievement Type: Story
Time: Morning, Day 1

Getting Aldous moving is the important part here. If you’re wondering how to turn this little task into an achievement, think less about talking and more about making him move.

  • Clue 1: You have to make him move.
  • Clue 2: How could you fail at this task?
  • Clue 3: Try exercising with Mr. Aldous.

It’s one of those achievements where the game expects you to interact with a character in a slightly unusual way.

Day 1 Afternoon Achievements

Preparing the Reception

Achievement Type: Story
Time: Afternoon, Day 1

Getting the reception ready involves more than simply doing the obvious cleaning jobs.

  • Clue 1: What else can you dust?
  • Clue 2: There are more than three paintings.
  • Clue 3: Look for the small repairs you can make.

If you’ve already cleaned the obvious areas, take another look around the room. The game is hiding one of the required interactions in plain sight.

Welcoming the Guests

Achievement Type: Story
Time: Afternoon, Day 1

The guests aren’t the only things you need to pay attention to here. There’s a certain animal that deserves a little extra attention, too.

  • Clue 1: The goat deserves more attention.
  • Clue 2: Alexandra isn’t the only one who loves flowers.
  • Clue 3: Try ruining the bouquet.

Yes, the wording makes it sound like you’re doing something wrong on purpose. That’s basically the point.

Day 1 Evening Achievements

Serving Tea

Achievement Type: Story
Time: Evening, Day 1

There’s a drink involved, but don’t assume you’re only serving the people around you.

  • Clue 1: The cat also likes herbs.
  • Clue 2: Maybe Rusty puked more than once.
  • Clue 3: Look for the matcha latte interaction.

Keep an eye on Rusty and the surrounding area. If you’ve already completed the obvious task, don’t assume you’ve seen everything.

Opening the Reunion

Achievement Type: Story
Time: Evening, Day 1

Someone else is thirsty, and there’s a very good reason the baby is being fussy.

  • Clue 1: Someone else wants a drink.
  • Clue 2: Why is this baby so fussy?
  • Clue 3: Try soothing the baby.

This is another achievement where paying attention to the smaller characters around you makes all the difference.

Day 1 Night Achievements

The Night Watch

Achievement Type: Story
Time: Night, Day 1

Night duty is exactly the sort of section where rushing through the obvious objectives can make you miss something.

  • Clue 1: Be thorough.
  • Clue 2: Are those specters?
  • Clue 3: Try checking for intruders.

Take your time and inspect what you’re supposed to be watching. There may be more going on than the first glance suggests.

Searching the Attic

Achievement Type: Story
Time: Night, Day 1

The attic has something interesting outside the window, and yes, that little detail matters.

  • Clue 1: Many things are staring inside from the window!
  • Clue 2: Click on that bird.
  • Clue 3: Try chasing the crow.

If you’ve entered the attic and immediately started searching the room, look toward the window before leaving.

Day 2 Morning Achievements

Preparing Coffee

Achievement Type: Story
Time: Morning, Day 2

Coffee preparation has a specific preference attached to it. If you’ve been experimenting with the ingredients, you may already have noticed it.

  • Clue 1: Green coffee isn’t the tastiest.
  • Clue 2: Roasted coffee beans are better.
  • Clue 3: Serve Mr. Aldous his favorite coffee.

The important part is choosing the right type of coffee rather than simply preparing any drink.

Waking up William

Achievement Type: Story
Time: Morning, Day 2

You’ve got a feather, so naturally there’s only one reasonable thing to do with it.

  • Clue 1: You have a feather!
  • Clue 2: Toes aren’t your only victim, nyuhuhu~
  • Clue 3: Try tickling Mr. William.

If you have the feather but haven’t found the interaction yet, think about who might react to being tickled.

Day 2 Afternoon Achievements

Cleaning the Floors

Achievement Type: Story
Time: Afternoon, Day 2

Cleaning the floors isn’t quite as simple as removing the obvious mess. There’s something else mixed into the mess that you need to deal with.

  • Clue 1: There is blood, and what else?
  • Clue 2: The drawing is helpful, but…
  • Clue 3: Go for a deep cleaning.

The drawing gives you a useful hint, but you’ll need to inspect the area carefully to figure out what the game wants.

Going Hunting

Achievement Type: Story
Time: Afternoon, Day 2

This one is mostly about accuracy and ammunition management.

  • Clue 1: There are only five targets.
  • Clue 2: Ten bullets are enough.
  • Clue 3: Aim for a perfect hunt.

Don’t waste your shots. If you’re firing at everything you see, you’re probably making this harder than it needs to be.

Day 2 Evening Achievements

Doing the Washing

Achievement Type: Story
Time: Evening, Day 2

You don’t necessarily need a key to investigate what’s behind a certain door.

  • Clue 1: You don’t need a key to see inside.
  • Clue 2: Who is in the bathroom?
  • Clue 3: Go for a close inspection.

Look around carefully instead of assuming a locked or inaccessible area can’t be investigated.

Helping with Bathing

Achievement Type: Story
Time: Evening, Day 2

There’s another cleaning job hiding inside this task. The windows are also giving you a pretty obvious visual hint.

  • Clue 1: Something else needs to be cleaned.
  • Clue 2: The windows are a little foggy.
  • Clue 3: Try cleaning the windows.

If you’ve finished the main bathing-related objective, take another look around the room before moving on.

Day 2 Night Achievements

Night Time Duties

Achievement Type: Story
Time: Night, Day 2

There are some things that definitely shouldn’t be left lying around, and the balcony isn’t exactly the place for them.

  • Clue 1: This is disgusting! Throw them down!
  • Clue 2: The balcony isn’t a trashcan!
  • Clue 3: Try garbage disposal.

The achievement is basically asking you to deal with the unwanted garbage rather than simply ignoring it.

Inspecting the Cellar

Achievement Type: Story
Time: Night, Day 2

Something is living in that hole, and you’re going to need a fairly convincing way to deal with it.

  • Clue 1: The hole is inhabited.
  • Clue 2: Use the sledgehammer!
  • Clue 3: It’s time for pest control.

If you’ve found the suspicious hole but aren’t sure what to do next, check your available tools.

Day 3 Morning Achievements

Looking for the Cat

Achievement Type: Story
Time: Morning, Day 3

Rusty has calmed down, but that doesn’t mean you’ve finished interacting with him.

  • Clue 1: Rusty is calm now.
  • Clue 2: More than once, he was lost, poor thing.
  • Clue 3: Try petting the cat.

Sometimes the simplest interaction is the one that’s easiest to overlook, especially after you’ve already interacted with the same character earlier.

Assisting in Alchemy

Achievement Type: Story
Time: Morning, Day 3

Alchemy comes with its own little test subject. If you’ve made the elixir, don’t stop there.

  • Clue 1: Someone else can taste it!
  • Clue 2: Give him some elixir.
  • Clue 3: Try animal testing.

The important part is figuring out who should receive the elixir. Look beyond the obvious human characters and you’ll find the answer.

Servant of the Lake Achievement Tips

If you’re trying to collect everything without completely spoiling the game for yourself, I’d recommend following the clues in order. The first clue is usually vague enough to let you experiment, while the second narrows things down, and the third basically confirms that you’re heading in the right direction.

Also, don’t be afraid to click on things that seem completely unrelated to the current objective. A lot of these achievements revolve around small interactions with animals, objects, or characters that you can easily ignore while concentrating on the main story.

And if an achievement doesn’t trigger immediately, try interacting with the object or character more than once. A few of these clues specifically hint that a single interaction isn’t always enough.
