Slime Rancher 2 Radiant Fire & Puddle Slime Hunting Guide

Radiant slimes aren’t found through a special method—they’re just rare versions of normal spawns. That means the real trick isn’t “finding” them, it’s forcing the game to spawn new slimes repeatedly until one rolls as Radiant.

Once you understand that, everything becomes much easier.

Radiant Fire Slimes

Go to Ember Valley, specifically the volcano area near the Grey Labyrinth gateway. Around that area, you’ll find multiple lava pools, especially between the gateway and the ocean.

Just move from pool to pool and get close enough to load them in. Each pool will spawn Fire Slimes as you approach. You don’t need to overthink this part—just scan quickly and keep moving.

If you don’t see a Radiant:

  • Either leave the area or go back to the Conservatory and sleep
  • Come back and run the same route again

Fire Slimes don’t stick around as much, so the game refreshes them pretty naturally. That’s why this method feels quick—you’re basically just checking spawns over and over with minimal effort.

Radiant Puddle Slimes

This one takes a bit more effort because Puddle Slimes don’t despawn easily. If you leave them in the water, the game won’t spawn new ones, which means fewer chances at a Radiant.

Start in Ember Valley at a large pond (it’s a good idea to place a teleporter here to save time). Check the pond first. If there’s no Radiant, you need to vacuum every single Puddle Slime out of it. Completely clear it.

From there, take the nearby gateway into Powderfall Bluffs and head up to the oasis on top of the mountain. This area has multiple ponds, which means more spawn chances—but also more cleanup.

Again, check everything. If there’s no Radiant, remove all Puddle Slimes from every pond.

Once both areas are cleared:

  • Leave the area or sleep to reset spawns
  • Repeat the same loop

The Important Part Most People Miss

If you remember only one thing, make it this:

Old slimes block new spawns.

  • Fire Slimes → usually fine, they refresh naturally
  • Puddle Slimes → must be manually cleared

If you don’t remove them, you’re basically waiting for something that won’t happen.

Simple Farming Loop

  • Check Ember Valley pond → clear it
  • Go to Powderfall oasis → clear everything
  • Reset (sleep or leave)
  • Repeat

That’s really all there is to it. Once you get into the rhythm, it stops feeling random and starts feeling like a proper farm.
