Breaking through a realm implies increasing your rank in either Body or Qi cultivation. For every rank, you get a small but important increase to your multipliers on that specific type of breakthrough. You also get 1 to 3 Dao depending on if you’ve broken through a minor or major realm.
There are 21 major Qi realms and 29 major Body realms. Each major realm contains 10 so-called ‘minor’ realms. Completing a breakthrough means advancing to the next minor realm. If you are at the last minor realm then you will automatically advance to the next major realm and your minor realm will reset back to 1.
If you are confused about the notation used for the realm counting; they are called Roman numerals.
Soul Cultivation Best Path
Paths
You spawn in with a random path between Celestial, Demon, and Beast. Each path has its own buffs and debuffs. They also have an exclusive mechanic that is useful. You can change your path when talking to the origin goddess NPC “Mei”.
CELESTIAL
Benefits:
- The more positive rep you have, the more Mastery you will gain.
- log500(rep) = Mastery Multi 1.25X BTR and 1.25X Foundation Gain
- Downsides: There are no debuffs for Celestials
- Uniquity: The longer you cultivate the more Qi and training multi you will get, at a max of 5x
Divine Celestial – Effects: 1.5X Breakthrough Speed but you have 0.75X Health
Ethereal Celestial – Effects: Breakthrough Speed is 1X but you get 1.25X Health
BEAST
Benefits:
- Grants a Beast Core which can be Upgraded at Mei Special NPC´s and provides more Qi.
- Each level will cost you 10X more Spirit Stones than before.
- You can aswell eat herbs for temporary effects.
- Downsides: 0.75X Spirit Stone gain, 0.5X Health and 0.5X Damage.
- Uniquity: Faster plant Harvesting by 1.5X
Feral Beast – Effects: 1,1X Health but 0.85X Spirit Stones.
Primal Beast – Effects: 1.15X Spirit Stones but 0.7X Health
Demon
Benefits:
- You gain Bloodstones which help with Cultivation.
- You get 1.5X more Health. 1.25X more Damage and 1.25X more Spirit Stones.
- Downsides: 0.75X Qi as well as 0.75X BTR.
- Uniquity: The more negative rep you have the more Health you have.
- log100(rep) : 2 = Health Multi
Merciless Demon – Effects: 1,4X Health but 0.75X Damage.
Abyssal Demon – Effects: 1.5X Spirit Stones but 1X Health
Qi Cultivation
Qi Cultivation consists of cultivating to gather Qi and breaking through the minor and major Qi realms. Each realm has a slight increase in your Qi, Health, and Damage multiplier (lower than Body multipliers). Qi is the primary stat in this game.
It is what you should focus on, but you can of course give priority to Body if you want to. Most skills use Qi as their source of energy.
