If you’re here because you’re staring at the Sovereign Tower achievement list and wondering how on earth you’re supposed to get all 75 achievements, I completely understand. There are quite a few that you’ll naturally pick up during a normal run, but the rest can get surprisingly specific.
Some require particular knights, some depend on very specific quest choices, and a few are tied to endings that are much easier to mess up than you’d expect.
So rather than making you dig through dozens of separate questlines, I’ve put everything together here. This guide covers the achievements, the important choices behind them, and the things I’d personally watch out for if you’re going for 100%.
Big warning before we start: this guide contains major spoilers for the entire game, including quests, characters, transformations, and endings. If you haven’t completed at least one normal playthrough yet, I’d strongly recommend doing that first.
Sovereign Tower 100% Achievement Guide – How To Unlock
These are the achievements you’ll generally earn simply by progressing through a normal game. You should have these by the time you’ve made it through the early acts and reached the later cycles.
A New Sovereign
Get through the opening cutscene.
There’s nothing special you need to do here. Start the game and let the introduction play out.
How Could That Go Wrong
Speak to the demon lock.
You’ll encounter this naturally while progressing through the game, so this one shouldn’t cause any trouble.
A Founding Stone
Build a new room.
You’ll almost certainly get this while developing your tower. Just build one of the available rooms and the achievement will pop.
The Dragon Knight
Meet the Dragon Knight in Cycle 4.
This is tied directly to the game’s progression, so simply keep moving through the early cycles.
So, About That Demon Power…
Someone needs to die.
This happens at the beginning of Act II, with the victim apparently being the knight you have the highest affinity with. A character dying during combat can also trigger the achievement.
In other words, don’t worry too much about trying to force this one. Progress through the story and it should happen naturally.
That’s One Thing Sorted
Reach Act II.
Another straightforward story achievement.
The Kingslayer
Meet the Kingslayer in Cycle 17.
Keep progressing normally until you reach the required cycle.
Good Things Come In Three
Reach Act III.
Simply continue your run until Act III begins.
The Emperor
Meet the Emperor in Cycle 30.
Again, this is a progression achievement and should come naturally during a normal run.
Alliance Achievements
The next group is all about building relationships with the different counties.
The general rule here is pretty simple: follow a county’s questline and help them when given the opportunity.
A few have special conditions, though, so here’s what you need to know.
And Thus, the Revolution Came to an End
Complete Gavault’s questline and become allies.
You can still achieve the alliance whether you side with Brunhilda or allow Tarcus to kill her.
A Successful Hunt
Complete Groveshire’s questline.
Whether you choose to kill or save the Beast doesn’t prevent the alliance.
How to Deal With Dragons
Win against the Dragon Knight.
There’s one important warning here: killing his dragon during Silgur’s quest will prevent the Dragon Knight from becoming your ally.
It’s a Mess
Complete the Southbay questline.
As long as you’re genuinely trying to help during the storyline, you should be able to secure the alliance.
HURRAY! HURRAY!
Participate in the tournament.
You don’t have to win the final battle. Simply participating is enough for the achievement.
The Grand Derby
Participate in the Kutnar Derby.
Cheating doesn’t stop you from becoming allies, although it does affect the results and prizes you receive.
How to Train Your Griffin
Complete the Isles of Basalt quests.
The exact impact of lying about the rightful heir isn’t completely clear, but lying about the treasure being absent will cancel the alliance.
So if you’re going for all alliances, be especially careful with the treasure-related choice.
Connection Restored
Complete the Moonvale questline.
Several choices can still result in the alliance, including killing the dragon or returning the egg.
Allowing Arron to keep his baby dragon can also work.
The exact result of stealing the egg and killing the dragon is less certain, so I’d avoid that combination if your priority is maintaining the alliance.
ORDER!
Complete Epicrates’s trial.
Be careful with the prison-break option. If you break Epicrates out of prison, you won’t get this alliance achievement.
Whodunnit?
Complete the Enberg storyline normally and become allies.
There’s a particularly nasty interaction with Victoria’s quests: after allying with Enberg, completing Victoria’s third quest can cancel the alliance.
If you’re planning to do both, it’s safer to finish the relevant Victoria choices before completing the Enberg alliance.
United Counties of Brizh
Ally with all ten counties at the same time.
This one requires at least your second run.
After following Gideon’s personal storyline, later runs give you an omniscient option when dealing with the Gavault and Groveshire envoys. This allows you to partner with both.
From there, ally with the remaining counties and make sure Victoria’s quests don’t cause you to lose Enberg.
This is one of those achievements where planning the entire run beforehand is much easier than trying to repair a failed alliance at the end.
Recruitment Achievements
These achievements involve recruiting the various servants and knights.
Servant Achievements
Everything’s Stable
Invite Rowan, the horse guy, and build the stables.
Once he’s invited and the stables are constructed, the achievement is yours.
What’re Ya Sellin’?
Invite Rupin, the pawnbroker, and build his pawn-broking area.
You’ll need to recruit him first, then construct his associated room.
The Greatest of Britania
Invite Belladonna, the witch, and build the Witch’s Tower.
Pretty simple once you know where the requirement comes from.
An Extravagant One
Invite Sagadin and build the Training Grounds.
Knight Achievements
Brizh’s Legend
Recruit Alwena.
She appears when all of your knights are out of the tower during a cycle.
If you’re struggling to create enough time for this, effects such as the Snake Oil or Shetland Pony can help extend cycle durations.
The Strongest Knight
Recruit Victoria.
You can lie during her quests and still get this achievement. The important part is making it through all three of her quests without killing her during the Enberg assassination storyline.
He Will Do Great, I’m Sure — Chester
Recruit Chester.
His recruitment has several specific steps:
- During his first appearance, accept his quest and send Angelica.
- During his second quest, pay attention to how he describes the eggs.
- If he describes them as shiny, send Gwendan.
- If he describes a pleasant aroma, send an equine.
- If he describes them as stinky, send a knight who has cheese.
- When Chester returns for the third time, choose the response indicating that the goose was simply looking for some company.
Do those correctly and Chester joins you.
He Will Do Great, I’m Sure — Daguez
Recruit Daguez.
This one is less obvious. Keep your population categories above 20 while allowing People to remain below 20.
Eventually, a worker should arrive and complain, giving you the option to knight a citizen.
The achievement appears to be tied to this event and may be locked to Act III. The exact requirements aren’t completely certain, but this approach has been confirmed to work.
A Knights Game
Recruit every knight in the game in the same save file.
This requirement is extremely important.
You can rewind and take different branches, but all knights must ultimately be recruited within the same save/branch history. Simply recruiting different knights across completely separate saves won’t count.
I’d strongly recommend keeping your own checklist and marking off every knight as you recruit them.
Also, if you started playing before the Oliver patch and Oliver hasn’t appeared, starting a fresh save may be necessary.
Transformation Achievements
These are some of the more entertaining achievements because they involve changing your knights through special events and interactions.
A Change of Heart
Let Arron perform the Dragon Knight ritual.
You’ll need a Dragon Heart and must allow Arron to perform the relevant interaction.
Dragon Hearts can come from several sources, including:
- Silgur’s Dragon Knight fight
- Random dragon quests
- The second Almor tournament
- Moonvale
Once you have the heart, allow Arron to perform the ritual.
True Noble Soul
Send Gwendan away to pay his debts.
Build enough affinity with Gwendan for Rupin to appear and bring up Gwendan’s debt.
On that same day, an interaction should become available. Choose to send Gwendan away to pay the debt instead of paying it yourself.
He returns after roughly five cycles.
A useful bonus: after this interaction, building Gwendan to maximum affinity can give him additional magic points.
Useful, At Last
Send Goberto to the third round of the Almor tournament.
That’s basically the entire requirement.
He won’t win, but he’ll return with upgraded magic armor and improved stats.
Graduated!
Let Oliver graduate.
After recruiting Oliver, continue building his affinity until the library interaction appears.
Follow the dialogue concerning magic and choose the option to send him back to school in Brimwood.
When Oliver returns, he’ll have improved stats, particularly in magic.
Something’s Wrong
Send Edith to kill a human.
You can trigger this by sending her on a quest involving the killing of a human.
Be warned: this changes her in a rather unpleasant way, as she becomes possessed by her sword.
So if you’re attached to Edith, maybe make a save before doing this one.
She Is Doing Well
Let Ursula die once.
One way to accomplish this is to stop repairing her armor and allow her to eventually die.
Her story and romance interactions can change afterward, making this an interesting one to experience if you’re curious about the consequences.
How Cute!
Give Arron his baby dragon.
During the Moonvale storyline, kill the larger dragon without returning the egg.
Afterward, send Arron to deal with the baby dragon.
He’ll return with the little creature, which permanently occupies his weapon slot.
It’s adorable. It’s also apparently not going anywhere.
Ethically Questionable
Send Dulahan to kill political prisoners during the Almor tournament.
During the second round, choose the option involving the political prisoners and send Dulahan.
He’ll return with a new appearance.
He Seems Fine
Do the political prisoner event again, but don’t send Dulahan.
After completing it, you’ll receive a special helmet.
Give that helmet to Dulahan and you’ll trigger his transformation, including a rather strange new way of speaking.
A Big Heart
Let Silgur lead the Dragon Knight fight.
This one requires some preparation.
You need to complete the Groveshire quests by Cycle 6, allowing Silgur to appear by Cycle 7.
When the Dragon Knight returns in Cycle 8, Silgur can suggest taking part in the fight.
Complete the fight with Silgur involved, then allow him to eat the Dragon Heart afterward.
His transformation isn’t enormous, but his eyes change and his stats are altered.
Family Disaster
Let Ursula die multiple times.
One reliable approach is to discover Ursula’s special ability before the Kingslayer fight and then choose her option to go alone.
She’ll return in a dramatically altered state, and Belladonna will react to it.
The important part is to speak to Belladonna after Ursula has returned, but don’t make that your first interaction with Belladonna after the event.
There may also be another route involving letting Ursula die three times, although that isn’t as firmly confirmed.
Interaction Achievements
These achievements are mostly tied to conversations, relationships, and special tower interactions.
Sovereign Gossiper
Build the Intendancy and listen to gossip from Alwena.
Eavesdropping
Listen to five conversations between two knights.
Conversations involving only your character and a knight don’t count. You need the interactions where two knights are talking to each other.
A True Love Kiss
Break the Tower Lady’s curse.
Follow the romance options until you reach the choice between leaving her as stone and breaking the curse.
Choose to break the curse.
Thought You Could Fool Me?
Lie during three of Victoria’s quests.
If you lie and then eventually recruit Victoria, she’ll eventually discover the deception and retaliate by kidnapping the knight with whom you have the highest affinity.
Family Reunion
Complete Gideon’s questline and choose the omniscient option when speaking with the Gavault and Groveshire envoys.
Continue through the storyline until you reach Gideon’s parents.
Path of the Pure
Complete Angelica’s questline.
The exact requirements are somewhat unclear, but keeping Angelica around and continuing to build her affinity appears to be important.
Eventually, she can mention getting lost and seeing a golden key. Send her on the resulting quest to trigger the achievement.
There are different reports about the precise requirements, so if you’re deliberately hunting this one, keeping the run clean and avoiding character deaths is the safer approach.
Quest Achievements
Now we get into the achievements where your actual quest decisions matter.
Didn’t See That Coming
Get an unexpected outcome on a quest.
An easy way to trigger this is sending Angelica on Chester’s first quest.
It Was Perfect
Get a critical success.
The easiest approach is to massively exceed the stat requirements of a quest.
Gideon’s personal quest is a good opportunity because you can stack his stats before sending him.
Oopsy Doopsy
Get a critical failure.
One reliable method is to use Goberto.
Send him away early in a run, bring him back near the end, give him as many stat penalties as possible, and send him on a quest where he is clearly unsuitable.
If you’re trying to force the achievement, make the quest requirements as unfavorable for him as possible.
A Traitor
Discover the identity of the Act II traitor.
You don’t have to prevent the betrayal. Simply successfully investigate and identify who the traitor is.
Sovereign Clutcher
Complete a quest with all base stats below the minimum requirements.
Before equipping any bonuses, make sure the knight you’re sending doesn’t meet any of the quest’s required base stats.
Then somehow succeed anyway.
Family Cure
Save Yannis during the Southbay storyline.
One confirmed route involves finding the magic lamp by talking to the merchants.
Another possible route involves discovering that Ligia is a mermaid and using omniscience to investigate a solution.
Longer Than Expected
Complete a quest that takes longer than its stated duration.
The easiest method is to use the Shetland Pony without duration-reducing effects, or equip Snake Oil without a horse.
These can add extra cycles to the quest.
Good Boy
Send Angelica on the final Groveshire quest.
She’ll return with Sparky, who can then be recruited.
Yes, Sparky is a good boy.
Spirit of Justice
Clear Epicrates’s name.
One confirmed method is inviting a witness from the People. Other witness options may work as well, but this is the route that’s been confirmed.
Prison Break
Free Epicrates from prison.
When you’re given the option to tell Marian your plan for the trial, choose the option that leads to breaking Epicrates out rather than proceeding with the normal trial.
Going Down on the First Round
Lose the third round of the Almor tournament without using Goberto or Chester.
Send another knight and intentionally fail.
If you use Goberto or Chester, you’ll trigger their special outcomes instead.
Brutal Repression
Kill Brunhilda during the Gavault storyline.
The required choice involves sending Tarcus when you’re told to deal with her.
You’ll need to investigate the nobles to gain access to Tarcus.
Judicial Error
Choose the fourth suspect during the Enberg investigation.
When accusing the suspects, pick the fourth option.
The resulting reaction is… memorable.
Goberto, Again!?
Send Goberto to his death twice.
Take the Magpie quest early in the game and send Goberto.
After he dies, rewind and send him again.
Yes, he dies again.
That’s the achievement.
Sovereign Cheater
Cheat during the Kutnar Derby.
The exact requirements may involve multiple cheating choices.
One confirmed approach is using Tarcus to cheat during the first and second derby quests consecutively.
Cheating only once, either at the beginning or final stage, does not appear to be enough.
When a Clown Is Crowned King…
Send Chester to the third Almor tournament quest.
Chester proceeds to perform such an absurd little dance that the enemies give up, resulting in him becoming the new king.
It’s easily one of the stranger achievements in the game.
Miscellaneous Achievements
These don’t fit neatly into the other categories, but most are fairly straightforward once you know the requirements.
Balanced Sovereign
Have 20+ population in every group.
If you play a reasonably balanced run all the way through, there’s a good chance you’ll unlock this naturally.
A Chosen Path
Reach Level 3 in any Sovereign archetype.
Pick an archetype and continue investing in it until it reaches Level 3.
Idle Funds
Have 5,000 gold at once.
You can simply save up over time.
A critical success on the Basalt quest can also immediately give you 5,000 gold.
Preferences
Have a 30+ difference between two population groups.
An easy way to accomplish this is to build up the People while keeping the Nobles comparatively low.
Fifty Fifty
Have five male and five female knights at your table during Act III.
If you’re missing one gender, remember that you can dismiss knights and invite others.
For example, Edith and Victoria can help increase your female count, while Ari and Epicrates can help with the male count.
It’s Rewind Time!
Use the rewind mechanic ten times before Cycle 45.
You don’t need to overthink this one. You can simply rewind repeatedly.
Happily Ever After
Marry one of your knights off when the Nobles revolt.
You’ll need at least 20+ satisfaction for every population group except the Nobles.
The marriage candidates can be:
- Gwendan
- Gideon
- Brunhilda
- Ligia
The knight you marry off doesn’t actually leave your table.
Ending Achievements
These are the achievements where planning matters the most.
A Conqueror
Choose to fight the Empire and win.
This is probably the most straightforward ending achievement.
Make the decision to fight and successfully win the final confrontation.
Peace, at Last
Make equal peace with the Empire.
Negotiate rather than surrendering or attacking.
The Golden Key may be required, although this requirement isn’t completely certain.
An Audacious Solution
Choose the Audacious options when speaking with Arthur.
Don’t choose the romance option.
You also need to maintain those kinds of choices throughout the run because the Empire’s opinion of you is influenced by decisions made across the Cycle 1–45 timeline.
So don’t wait until the final conversation to suddenly become audacious.
Capitulation
Surrender to the Empire.
When the Cycle 45 decision arrives, choose to submit rather than fight.
Kindness choices may be necessary to make this option available, although Wisdom may also provide access.
The Last King of Brizh
This is the big one.
If you’re going for 100%, I’d save this achievement for last.
The requirements are considerably more involved than the other endings:
- Complete a full run without using demon rewinds.
- Recruit Epicrates.
- Build enough affinity with Epicrates for him to reveal where the key should be placed.
- Obtain the Golden Key.
- Continue building Epicrates’s affinity while choosing options that align with dismantling the monarchy and the tower.
- Reach the final confrontation.
- After speaking with Epicrates and meeting the necessary conditions, choose the special option when Arthur arrives.
The no-rewind requirement is the part that makes this ending especially stressful. You’re effectively committing to the entire timeline from Cycle 1 through Cycle 45 without relying on the rewind system.
The Golden Key and Epicrates’s storyline also serve as major pieces of the setup.
Because the final sequence removes your ability to simply rewind back to the beginning, I’d strongly recommend treating this as a dedicated final run rather than trying to squeeze it into an ordinary achievement-cleanup playthrough.
