Tears of Metal Wallace Secret Sword Guide – Seraphic Blade

If you’re playing Wallace in Tears of Metal and wondering where his mysterious fourth weapon comes from, the answer is a little more involved than simply finding one secret chest.

The weapon is split into three separate pieces, and you’ll need to collect one piece in each region of the campaign. The good news is that once you know what you’re looking for, the whole thing is pretty straightforward.

There is one important warning, though: you need to finish the level after obtaining the final piece. Picking it up and then abandoning the run won’t complete the weapon unlock.

Here’s the full route.

Tears of Metal Wallace Secret Sword Guide – Get Seraphic Blade

You’ll need to collect three pieces of the sword:

  • Region 1: Buy the first piece from the regular shop.
  • Region 2: Open a special chest to get the second piece.
  • Region 3: Complete a special combat challenge to obtain the final piece.

The three pieces have to be collected during the same campaign run, so don’t treat each region as a separate attempt.

It’s also worth saving your silver coins instead of spending everything as soon as you get them. You’ll need a decent amount of currency for the first two pieces.

Region 1 – Buy the First Sword Piece

The first piece is the easiest one to get.

When you’re in the first region, check the regular shop on the map.

The sword piece costs:

225 Silver Coins

Buy it from the shop and you’ve got the first part of Wallace’s secret weapon.

If you’re short on silver, this is where a little planning helps. Try not to burn through your coins on unnecessary purchases because you’ll need another 350 Silver Coins later.

Region 2 – Find the Special Chest

The second sword piece is waiting for you in Region 2, but it isn’t inside an ordinary chest.

You’ll need to find a special chest that looks noticeably different from the normal ones.

The easiest way to recognize it is by its appearance:

  • It has a predominantly white design.
  • It has a golden eye on it.
  • It stands out from the regular chests you’ll encounter.

When you find this chest, you’ll need to pay:

350 Silver Coins

Open it and you’ll receive the second sword piece.

So, by this point, your campaign should have both the Region 1 and Region 2 pieces.

Region 3 – Complete the Special Challenge

The final piece is obtained in Region 3, and this one can’t simply be purchased.

You’ll need to find a special challenge stand.

Like the special chest from Region 2, the challenge marker has a distinctive appearance. Look for a white flag with an eye symbol.

Interact with it to start the challenge.

This isn’t a quick little fight either. The challenge consists of four waves of strong captains, so make sure your character is prepared before starting it.

Work through all four waves and complete the challenge.

Once you’ve done that, you’ll receive the third and final sword piece.

Don’t Leave the Level After Getting the Third Piece

This is the part you really don’t want to overlook.

After completing the Region 3 challenge and receiving the final sword piece, finish the level.

Do not abandon the run.

Do not leave the mission early.

You need to successfully complete the level with the third piece in your possession. Once you finish the level, the game will recognize the three collected pieces and unlock Wallace’s secret sword.

Wallace Secret Sword – Quick Route

If you just want the locations at a glance:

Region 1

Find the regular shop → Buy the first sword piece → 225 Silver Coins

Region 2

Find the unusual white chest with the golden eye → Open it → 350 Silver Coins

Region 3

Find the white challenge flag with the eye → Defeat 4 waves of strong captains → Receive the final piece

Finally

Finish the Region 3 level after obtaining the third piece → Secret sword unlocked

Wallace’s secret sword is basically a three-region scavenger hunt with a combat challenge at the end.

The first two pieces are mostly about having enough silver and recognizing the right objects, while the final piece asks you to prove you can survive the four-wave challenge.

Just remember the numbers:

225 coins → Region 1
350 coins → Region 2
4 waves → Region 3

Collect all three pieces during the campaign, complete the final level, and Wallace’s secret sword is yours.
