Looking for the hidden Artifacts in The Canon of Balls? There are currently several artifacts hidden throughout the game’s maps, with some requiring careful exploration, difficult jumps, or taking unusual routes through areas you would normally pass through.
This guide covers all currently known artifact locations from the available information. The list is still a work in progress, so some artifact locations have not yet been discovered or documented.
Artifact 1 — Starting Room
The first artifact is hidden in the starting room, almost directly above your spawn point.
To reach it, head upward using the same route you normally take when going for the crystal. Instead of dropping down, continue toward the other end.
Then:
- Turn left.
- Move between the two platforms.
- Continue toward the end of the platform.
- The artifact should be waiting there.
It’s easy to miss because it’s located above the normal starting route.
Artifact 2
The location for Artifact 2 has not been documented yet.
This artifact is currently marked as unknown in the available guide information.
Artifact 3
The location for Artifact 3 has not been documented yet.
Check back as more artifact locations are discovered.
Artifact 4 — Ice-Climbing Tower
Artifact 4 can be found at the tower where many players obtain their third crystal.
This area features:
- Ice climbing
- Jump pads
- A tall tower section
While climbing the tower, keep an eye around the structure. The artifact should be visible during the climb.
Because it is in a relatively open area, spotting it is easier if you pay attention to your surroundings instead of focusing only on the climbing route.
Artifact 5
The location for Artifact 5 has not yet been provided.
It remains one of the artifacts that still needs to be documented.
Artifact 6 — Giant Ravine Cannon
Artifact 6 is located beside the cannon at the bottom of the Giant Ravine.
The easiest way to reach it is by using the cannon’s chute.
Follow these steps:
- Find the cannon at the Giant Ravine.
- Ride on top of the cannon’s chute.
- Continue toward the bottom.
- When you get close to the bottom, press Ctrl.
- Use the movement to avoid falling into the abyss.
- Look beside the cannon for the artifact.
Be careful with your movement because falling into the ravine can force you to restart the section.
Artifact 7 — Castle
Artifact 7 is located at the castle, just above one of the doors.
Getting there requires some platforming.
You can reach it by jumping around the walls and using them to gain enough height to reach the artifact.
The important part is to look above the castle door, rather than searching around the ground level.
Artifact 8 — Rails Section
Artifact 8 can be reached shortly after breaking through the main gate.
Once you’ve entered this section, make your way toward the top of the area.
Look for the hole on the left side.
Jump into the hole and you should reach an area containing several thin rails.
From there:
- Enter the rail section.
- Carefully make your way across the thin rails.
- Look around the end of the route.
- The artifact should become visible.
The artifact can be surprisingly difficult to spot because of its orientation. It appears very thin from certain angles, making it easy to mistake for part of the environment.
Artifact 9
The location for Artifact 9 has not yet been documented.
This is another artifact that remains unknown in the current work-in-progress list.
Artifact 10 — Wicker Statue Area
Artifact 10 is hidden behind the wicker statue area.
To find it, climb up the platforms created by the wicker statues.
Once you reach the upper section shown in the original guide, continue around the structure rather than following the obvious route.
The artifact is waiting behind the structure.
If you’re already climbing the wicker statue platforms, make sure you explore around the entire area before moving on.
Artifact 11
The current guide does not provide a location for Artifact 11.
Its position remains undocumented.
Artifact 12 — Jump Pad Area
Although it’s numbered Artifact 12, its location comes after the area associated with Artifact 13 in the route.
You’ll reach this section after going up three jump pads.
When you reach the top:
- Instead of going right, go left.
- Follow the left-side route to find the artifact.
Alternatively, you can continue right and pass the wall-jump section before reaching the area. The exact route isn’t particularly important as long as you explore the section after the jump pads.
Artifact 13 — Dark Area After the Axe Section
Artifact 13 is located shortly after the axe-swinging section.
When you enter the darker area, don’t continue straight ahead.
Instead:
- Turn right.
- Look for the elevated area.
- Jump up to reach it.
- Follow the path downward.
- Continue toward the end.
- The artifact should be there.
This one is easy to miss if you simply follow the main path through the dark section.
Artifact 14 — Checkpoint Area
Artifact 14 can be found near a checkpoint.
From the checkpoint, head left instead of continuing along the normal route.
The artifact is hidden in a dark corner.
It’s particularly easy to overlook because the location isn’t directly along the main path.
Artifact 15
The current guide does not provide a confirmed location for Artifact 15.
Its position is still unknown.
Artifact 16 — Final Artifact
Artifact 16 is described as the final artifact and potentially the hardest one to find.
The original finder explains that discovering it was essentially a matter of luck.
The available information includes an image showing the location, but there isn’t enough written information to provide a reliable step-by-step route without guessing.
If you’re hunting for Artifact 16, use the provided location image as your primary reference and carefully compare the surrounding structures in-game.
Finding all the Artifacts in The Canon of Balls is largely an exploration challenge. Some are placed in relatively obvious locations, while others are hidden behind structures, above doors, inside alternate routes, or in areas that require careful platforming.
At the moment, Artifacts 1, 4, 6, 7, 8, 10, 12, 13, 14, and 16 have documented locations from the available information. Artifacts 2, 3, 5, 9, 11, and 15 still need confirmed locations.
Since the original artifact guide is explicitly a work in progress, additional locations may be discovered later. For the hardest artifacts, especially Artifact 16, using screenshots alongside the written directions is the safest way to avoid getting lost.
