THRONE AND LIBERTY Skill Growth Books Crafting – Flow Chart

This THRONE AND LIBERTY Skill Growth Books Crafting – Flow Chart guide is an answer I needed when I was starting and had a question :

“Can I farm skill progress in here”.

The answer is:

Yes, you can, and this flowchart contains all the information you might need.

  • – Skill books are crafted with two materials: Parchment and Marind Ore
  • – These materials can be reliably gathered at a steady pace
  • – When your skills reach Rare Level 1, you can’t use Uncommon Skillbooks for them anymore
  • – You need to craft higher tier (Rare in this case) skill books
  • – Higher-tier skill books require higher-tier materials
  • – These higher-tier materials can be crafted using the lower-tier materials
  • – Higher-tier skill books can also be made out of lower-tier books
  • – Both skill books and materials can be dissolved into their lower-tier versions *(read further)

The flowchart indicates exchange ratios and costs that apply during these crafting and dissolving operations.

Remember, the materials can be dissolved into lower materials or crafted into higher materials,
but books cannot be dissolved into materials!

= WARNING =

  • Books can only be dissolved into lower-tier books, and they give 5 fewer books than it takes to make them.

Sourcing Materials

Common source of the materials for skillbook making are the following:

Parchment
– Drops from world mobs (goblins, wolves, everything else)
– Drops at high rate in Abyssal Dungeons
– Can be a Contract reward
– Can be bought from Contract Shop (probably not the best use of your contract coins)

Marind Ore
– Can be found in mining nodes around the world
– Drops at high rate in Abyssal Dungeons
– Can be a Contract reward
– Can be mined with great speed when you’re on the SkyWhale

Conclusion
There might come a time, when you need to make Rare books, but have only Uncommon materials.

You can use Uncommon materials to make Rare materials and use those to make Rare books.

When crafting “up” in tiers, whether you’re crafting the higher tier books out of their raw materials or out of lower tier books, the cost is exactly the same. Just use what you have available.

Remember, you can safely dissolve materials, essentially transforming them up and down tiers with only cost being Sollant (which flows like water), but when dissolving books to lower tiers, you’re losing 33% of the value!

Avoid that mistake!

I hope this guide helped you to get a better grasp on skillbook crafting aspect of the game.
