The starting level Racetrack00 in VHOLUME contains several hidden secrets that are easy to miss during a normal run. You can unlock an alternate B-Side map, find a hidden trophy, open a secret tunnel, and meet a mysterious character to earn the Familiar Face achievement.

VHOLUME Racetrack00 Secrets Guide: B-Side Map, Familiar Face & Secret Tunnel
The first secret is a hidden trophy that unlocks the alternate version of Racetrack00.
Step 1: Reach the Hidden Trophy Area
Start Racetrack00 and progress normally through the level.
Continue until you reach the platform shown in the original guide’s location.
Step 2: Look Above the Platform
Once you’re there, move toward the edge of the platform.
Look up and to the left.
You should be able to spot a hidden trophy above you.
You’ll need to climb up to reach it.
Step 3: Collect the Trophy
Find a way onto the higher platform and run into the trophy.
Once you touch it, the alternate B-Side version of the map will unlock.
The B-Side map is called:
Atago
You can now access the alternate version of Racetrack00 from the appropriate map selection.
How to Find the Secret Tunnel & Unlock Familiar Face
The second secret leads to the Familiar Face achievement.
There is a time limit once you enter the hidden tunnel, so you need to know the route beforehand.
Step 1: Reach the Rooftop Area
Play through Racetrack00 until you reach the location shown in the guide.
From here, you need to get onto the roof.
The easiest method is to use your movement abilities repeatedly, including wall climbing and jumping, until you reach the upper area.
Step 2: Follow the Rooftop Walkway
Once you’re on the roof, you should see the walkway shown in the guide.
Follow it in the natural direction of the level.
Keep moving forward rather than dropping back down.
Step 3: Find the Trophy
Eventually, you’ll reach an area where you can see a gap.
Look across the gap and you’ll find another hidden trophy.
Move over to it and collect it.
The game will display the message:
“Something is different.”
This trophy is important because it changes the starting area and opens access to the secret tunnel.
How to Enter the Secret Tunnel
You need to continue in the same run after collecting the trophy.
Do not restart the level.
Step 1: Return to Spawn
After collecting the trophy, make your way back toward the starting area of Racetrack00.
You need to return to where the level begins.
Step 2: Climb Onto the Roof Near the Green Sign
At the spawn area, look for the roof above the section with the green sign.
Climb onto this roof.
From the roof, you should be able to look back toward the starting area and see the rear side of the purple sign.
Step 3: Locate the Tunnel
From this rooftop, look around for the section of the map containing the small tunnel.
Head toward it.
Because you collected the previous trophy, the door that normally blocks this tunnel should now be open.
Step 4: Enter the Tunnel Quickly
Enter the tunnel.
You don’t have much time once you’re inside.
Stay toward the right side of the tunnel.
Look carefully behind the second archway.
You should see a red propane tank.
The hidden character is located near this area.
How to Get the Familiar Face Achievement
Once you’ve located the character, run toward him and press E to interact.
He will say a few lines of dialogue.
After the conversation, you’ll be teleported back to the beginning of the map.
At the same time, you’ll unlock:
Familiar Face
The achievement is awarded after speaking to the hidden character inside the tunnel.
What If You Run Out of Time?
The tunnel has a time limit, so it’s possible to get teleported out before you reach the character.
If that happens, you don’t need to worry.
Simply:
- Change to another level.
- Switch back to Racetrack00.
- Repeat the route to the trophy.
- The trophy should respawn.
- Collect it again.
- Return to the tunnel.
- Move quickly to the character.
- Press E to interact.
The key is to learn the route before entering the tunnel so you don’t waste the limited time searching.
