Psycho-Sleuth is a mystery and investigation game where you need to examine crime scenes, collect clues, question other participants, and solve complicated murder cases. Each chapter has different investigations and trials, and you will need to pay close attention to small details to discover the truth.
In this Psycho-Sleuth guide, we will walk you through the investigations and trials from Chapters 1, 2, and 3. I will explain where to look for important clues, which evidence to present during refutations, the correct answers to multiple-choice questions, and how to solve each case without making unnecessary mistakes.
We will also cover the important choices that can lead to bad endings, the case summary answers, and the achievements you can unlock. If you are struggling with a particular investigation or trial, you can use the sections below to find the exact answer you need and continue your progress.
Psycho-Sleuth Walkthrough Guide – All Chapter Investigations, Trial Answers, and Bad Endings
Before starting the walkthrough, there are a few important mechanics you should understand. These tips will make investigations and trials much easier.
-
Chapter Structure: Every chapter is divided into two main sections: Investigation and Trial. Once you have reached a trial at least once, you can select it directly from the chapter selection menu.
-
Health System: Your health bar has a maximum of 2,000 points. It carries over between the investigation setup and trial within a chapter. Incorrect answers, failed refutations, and mistakes during case summaries will reduce your health.
-
Investigation: During investigations, you need to examine different objects, characters, and locations. I recommend checking everything available because some clues only appear after specific conversations or events.
-
Perception Button: Press R to reveal investigation hotspots. This is especially useful when you cannot find an object.
-
Refutations: During a refutation, you must identify the incorrect statement and present the evidence that disproves it.
-
Truth Reconstruction: You need to arrange events in chronological order. Remember that the correct order goes from left to right, not right to left. Match each question with the card showing the relevant event.
-
Bad Endings: Some multiple-choice questions contain choices that lead directly to bad endings. There are achievements for discovering certain bad endings, so you may want to save before making important decisions.
-
Saving: The game autosaves after certain trial minigames, but I recommend manually saving before and after every Judgement.
You can also use Control to skip certain scenes and Space to skip dialogue. These options are helpful when replaying chapters to collect missing achievements.
One more important thing: Chapter 2 introduces a list of 20 Pathosyncs, but there are only 13 participants. Not every Pathosync will be used. Some participants will openly explain their abilities, but that does not necessarily mean they are telling you everything about how those abilities work.
Chapter 1 Walkthrough
Chapter 1 – Investigation
After the opening scenes, you will begin inside the Cremation Room.
First Investigation
Start by examining the objects on the left side of the room:
-
Unopenable Door
-
Light Switch
-
Dial
-
Life Detector
After checking these objects, speak to Kizuna, Lena, and the Proxy.
Next, examine the Sanctified Cremator in the center of the room.
Finally, move to the right side and investigate the following objects:
-
Window
-
Sea Angel
-
Clock
-
Bone Grinder
After the rules explanation, you will get another opportunity to investigate the room.
Second Investigation
This time, focus on the right side of the room and examine:
-
Hair (possibly belonging to Lena)
-
Kizuna’s Bloodstained Mask
-
Bones on the Floor
Once you have checked everything, additional clues will become available.
Third Investigation
You should now investigate the following objects again:
-
Clock
-
Proxy (Kizuna’s Past)
-
Sanctified Cremator (Bones Inside Cremator)
-
Updated Life Detector
-
Impermeable Dial
Make sure you examine the updated clues because they will become important during the trial.
Chapter 1 – Trial
Now that the investigation is complete, you will enter the first trial. This section focuses on identifying the killer and understanding what happened inside the Cremation Room.
Refutation – Vs Hyper 1
Incorrect Statement: Statement 3: “Besides the Proxy, you’re the only one here.”
Correct Evidence: Life Detector (3).
The Life Detector shows that there is at least one more person inside the room. This means Hyper’s statement is incorrect.
Multiple Choice: What Did the Life Detector Read When We Entered?
Correct Answer: 4.
Multiple Choice: Hyper’s Logic (That There Are Two Victims) Is…
Correct Answer: Incorrect.
There is still only enough ash to account for one body. The evidence does not support the theory that there were two victims.
Multiple Choice: What Could Be Combined With the Mask to Make a Blunt Weapon?
Correct Answer: Ashes and bone fragments.
The idea is that the ashes and bone fragments could have been placed inside something like a pillowcase to create a makeshift blunt weapon.
Multiple Choice: Why Does the Life Detector Show 3 Right Now?
Correct Answer: There’s still someone alive hidden in the room.
This is an important clue because it proves that another person is still inside the Cremation Room.
Present in Scene: Where Is the Killer Hiding?
Correct Answer: The Sanctified Cremator.
The cremator is the only place large enough to hide a person.
Refutation – Vs Hyper 2
Incorrect Statement: Statement 3: “No one could hide in heat like that.”
Correct Evidence: Six Hours Unconscious.
The cremator had been cooling down for several hours. This means it was no longer too hot for someone to hide inside.
Bad Ending Choice: Turn On the Cremator or See Who the Killer Is?
Turn on the cremator.
Choosing to turn on the cremator unlocks the Chapter 1 bad ending, The Death of Lena.
If you want to continue the main story, choose See Who the Killer Is.
Refutation – Vs Hyper 3
Incorrect Statement: Statement 1: “The victim was burned to death.”
Correct Evidence: Bloodstained Knife.
We have no injuries that would explain the blood on the knife. Therefore, the blood must have come from the victim’s wounds.
Present in Scene: Where Is the Killer Hiding?
Correct Answer: Sanctified Cremator.
Remember that the killer is hiding in the hollow space beneath the cremator’s plate.
Present in Scene: What Evidence Proves Lena Didn’t Use the Knife?
Correct Answer: Her Clothes.
Examine Lena’s body and look at her clothes. There is no blood on them, which makes it unlikely that she used the knife.
Multiple Choice: Why Did the Killer Have to Use the Cremator on Bloody Evidence?
Correct Answer: Wear the victim’s clothes, then burn the clothing.
The killer needed to get rid of the bloody clothing. We already established that Lena’s clothes were not bloody, which helps eliminate her as the person who used the knife.
Refutation – Vs Hyper 4
Incorrect Statement: Statement 1: “Besides you and Lena, there’s no one in this room.”
Correct Evidence: Life Detector (3).
The Life Detector still shows three people, meaning another person is present.
Present in Scene: What Three Times Have Changed?
Correct Answer: The Dial, the Life Detector, and the Clock.
These three objects contain important changes that help reveal what happened in the room.
Multiple Choice: The Missing Thing Is…
Correct Answer: The Left Side.
Multiple Choice: The Person Affecting Us Is…
Correct Answer: Kizuna.
Multiple Choice: What Is the Evidence of Kizuna’s Pathosync?
Correct Answer: Kizuna’s Past.
Kizuna suffers from hemispatial neglect, which explains why she has trouble noticing things on her left side.
Refutation – Vs Kizuna 1
Incorrect Statement: Statement 3: “You have no proof I touched anything.”
Correct Evidence: Bones on Scene.
The bones are only present on the right half of the room. This supports the argument about Kizuna’s condition and her interaction with the scene.
Multiple Choice: What Clue Proves Kizuna Could Not Commit the Murder?
Correct Answer: The Dial Switch.
The dial needs to be operated from the left side, which is important when considering Kizuna’s hemispatial neglect.
Multiple Choice: Who Activated the Sanctified Cremator?
Correct Answer: Lena.
Case Summary Answers
During the Case Summary, you must select the correct images to reconstruct the events. Here are the answers in order:
| Slide | Question | Correct Answer |
|---|---|---|
| II | Why did Lena have to obey Kizuna? | Lyle was taken hostage |
| IV | Where were the bloodstained clothes placed to erase the evidence? | Corpse and clothes in the Cremator |
| VI | What words did Lena carve? | I’m the culprit |
| VII | What other preparation did Kizuna make? | Staged the scene with the knife, corpse, and mask |
| VIII | Who activated the Pathosync? | Kizuna activated her Pathosync (picture of her hand in red) |
Refutation – Vs Kizuna 2
Incorrect Statement: Statement 4: “Just now, while you were unconscious.”
Correct Evidence: Testimony of Kizuna.
Kizuna claims that she was unconscious for the same amount of time as everyone else. Present her testimony to challenge this statement.
This completes the main Chapter 1 trial.
Chapter 2 Walkthrough
Chapter 2 introduces the Pathosync system and a much more complicated murder mystery involving the Chamber of Offering, the Infirmary, and several participants.
Chapter 2 – Investigation
Initial Conversation With Participants
The Proxy will update your menu and add a new Pathosync page.
You will begin surrounded by the remaining participants. Speak to everyone and go through all available conversation topics.
Talk to these characters from left to right:
-
Silas
-
Eirys
-
Dada
-
Raze
-
Hyper
-
Fayse
-
Alice
-
Elian
-
Believer
After Cotari is introduced and the next scene plays, you will encounter two questions.
Multiple Choice: Based on Fayse’s Statement, Her Role Is Likely…
Correct Answer: No correct answer.
You can choose any option here.
Multiple Choice: The Best Move to Protect Lena Would Be…
Correct Answer: Reveal I’m a Hero.
Chamber of Offering
Now you need to investigate the Chamber of Offering.
Examine all the following objects:
-
Offering Chamber Door
-
USB Drive
-
Luke Photo
-
Outfit
-
Bank Knife
-
Crumpled Note
-
Feather
-
Treasure Chest
-
Sea Angel Tank
After checking the objects, speak to Eirys, the Believer, and Fayse. Go through all three conversation topics for each character.
Eirys’s Third Conversation Topic
You will encounter a multiple-choice question about the participant who has a manipulating Pathosync.
Correct Answer: Alice.
Alice is a famous actress, making her a likely candidate for an ability related to manipulation.
After finishing the conversations, a new scene will play.
Visit the Other Locations
You must now visit three locations:
-
Dining Hall
-
Lounge
-
Outside of Infirmary
Once you have investigated all three, another scene will begin.
Present in Scene: What Are the Three Suspicious Things in This Photo?
Correct Answer: The bite mark on the breast, face, or scalp.
The other two suspicious details are:
-
The Murder Mark written in blood.
-
The blood text beneath the mark.
Multiple Choice: When Could the Dismemberer Have Entered the Infirmary?
Correct Answer: During Limb Severance activation.
Infirmary
After the previous scene, enter the Infirmary and examine the following:
-
Infirmary Door
-
Wire Saw on the Bed
-
Murder Marking
-
Clock
-
Sea Angel Box
-
Proxy
Multiple Choice: How Did the Dismemberer Vanish From the Room?
Correct Answer: Hidden in the Room, Blended In When We Entered.
Everyone was accounted for, so the killer could not have simply left the room unnoticed. The better explanation is that the Dismemberer was already hiding inside.
Multiple Choice: Who Is the Prime Suspect?
Correct Answer: No correct answer.
You can choose any option.
Chamber of Offerings – Second Investigation
Return to the Chamber of Offerings and examine these objects:
-
Door
-
Small Window
-
Cotari (Murder Marking, Stumps, Alabaster Box, and the Mark at the Bottom of the Alabaster Box)
-
Alabaster Box Lid
-
Severed Limbs
-
Believer
-
Clock
-
Sea Angel
One important detail to remember is that the Vibration Blade is missing. You do not need to investigate it directly, but keep this information in mind.
Infirmary – Second Investigation
Return to the Infirmary and examine:
-
Believer
-
Blood on the Floor
-
Cotari (Leg, Hand, and Murder Marking)
-
Bandages
-
Clock
-
Sea Angel Box
Multiple Choice: What Is the Thing Missing From the Room?
Correct Answer: The Lower Legs.
Chamber of Offerings – Third Investigation
Go back to the Chamber of Offerings again and examine:
-
Door
-
Elian
-
Silas
-
Alabaster Box
-
Pattern Made of Severed Limbs
-
Believer
-
Eirys
-
Clock
-
Sea Angel
Infirmary – Third Investigation
Finally, return to the Infirmary and examine:
-
Cotari (Nano Knife and Murder Message)
-
Clock
-
Dada
Once you finish these investigations, you can proceed to the Chapter 2 trial.
Chapter 2 – Trial
This trial is considerably more complicated than the first one. You need to understand how the limbs were switched, how the killer entered and exited the room, and how the Dismemberer used the Believer’s disguise.
Refutation – Vs Hyper 1
Incorrect Statement: Statement 3: “You opened the locked door.”
Correct Evidence: Infirmary Key.
Alice was holding the key, which means the statement is incorrect.
Multiple Choice: The Case Begins With…
Correct Answer: A Believer’s limbs being severed by the Dismemberer.
Refutation – Vs Everyone 1
Incorrect Statement: Statement 6, Hyper: “They used a nano-blade to sever the limbs.”
Correct Evidence: Wire Saw.
The wound analysis matches the wire saw rather than the nano-blade.
Multiple Choice: The Wire Saw Being Used Is Weird Due To…
Correct Answer: There not being enough time to commit the crime.
The nano-blade works almost instantly, but cutting limbs with a wire saw would take several minutes.
Refutation – Vs Raze 1
Incorrect Statement: Statement 8: “Cut off her own legs.”
Correct Evidence: Cause of Believer’s Death.
The Believer had already lost her hands, so she could not have cut off her own legs.
Refutation – Vs Eirys 1
Incorrect Statement: Statement 5: “She actively interfered in the selection.”
Correct Evidence: Logic Church’s Neutrality.
This evidence helps explain why Eirys could not have interfered in the selection.
Multiple Choice: Why Are So Many Believers Present?
Correct Answer: For participants to use.
Refutation – Vs Everyone 2
Incorrect Statement: Statement 3, Elian: “Everyone in the selection entered.”
Correct Evidence: Dada’s Strange Behavior.
Dada actually stepped out during that time, which disproves the statement.
Present in Scene: What Is the Problem With the Window Theory?
Correct Answer: The Window.
The area around the window is white. If someone had used it to enter or leave, there would have been a visible bloodstain.
Multiple Choice: What Item Could Have Been Used to Hold Down Cotari’s Hands?
Correct Answer: The Alabaster Box Lid.
Multiple Choice: What Proves the Alabaster Box Lid Was Used?
Correct Answer: Blood on the Alabaster Box Lid.
Refutation – Vs Everyone 2
Incorrect Statement: Statement 8, Raze: “You can’t plan murders around unpredictable things.”
Correct Evidence: Writing on Alabaster Box.
There was a note instructing someone to enter the room at noon. This means the timing was planned and predictable.
Refutation – Vs Hyper 2
Incorrect Statement: Statement 3: “Then take to the Chamber of Offerings.”
Correct Evidence: Eirys’ Testimony.
Her testimony confirms that no one entered the room.
Multiple Choice: What Triggers Dada’s Episodes?
Correct Answer: A Strong Blood Smell.
Both the Chamber of Offering and the Infirmary contained blood, which explains the connection.
Multiple Choice: What Clue Proves Dada Eats People?
Correct Answer: Bite Marks.
Refutation – Vs Dada 1
Incorrect Statement: Statement 3: “I think Cotari cut off her own legs.”
Correct Evidence: Cotari’s Cause of Death.
Cotari did not have hands at the time, so she could not have cut off her own legs.
Refutation – Vs Everyone 3
Incorrect Statement: Statement 7, Elian: “Just grab some limbs and shove them in.”
Correct Evidence: Proxy’s Testimony.
The Proxy verified that the legs were actually Cotari’s, which means the killer could not simply have used random limbs.
Multiple Choice: When We Entered the Infirmary, Did Cotari Have Lower Legs?
Correct Answer: No.
Multiple Choice: What Was the Point of Killing the Believer First?
Correct Answer: To establish the idea of “hands first, then legs.”
The first murder creates a pattern that makes everyone believe Cotari’s death followed the same method. In reality, Cotari’s death does not follow the Dismemberer’s usual method. This was a misdirection.
Multiple Choice: How Could We Have Seen Cotari With Legs?
Correct Answer: Someone else’s legs were attached to Cotari.
Refutation – Vs Everyone 4
Incorrect Statement: Statement 9, Alice: “Given enough time, blood would seep through.”
Correct Evidence: Cotari’s Bleeding Rate.
Cotari bleeds remarkably slowly. Because of this, blood would not appear immediately.
Present in Scene: What Was Used to Connect the Lower Legs to Her?
Correct Answer: Bloody Bandages on Floor.
There are more bandages than would be necessary for the arms alone. This is an important clue that the legs were attached using the bandages.
Present Suspect: Who Could Have Entered the Infirmary?
Correct Answer: Alice.
She was the only person with the key.
Refutation – Vs Alice 1
Incorrect Statement: Statement 5: “Lyle was there the whole time.”
Correct Evidence: Time Away from Room.
We had stepped away from the room during the Chamber of Offering scene, meaning we were not there the entire time.
Refutation – Vs Hyper 3
Incorrect Statement: Statement 4: “Instruct a believer to swap at the designated time.”
Correct Evidence: Logic Church’s Neutrality.
The second box idea itself does not violate the rules. However, swapping it during the murder plot would violate the neutrality rule.
Bad Ending Choice: Accuse, Declare Innocent, or Shift Discussion?
Accuse.
Choosing Accuse leads to a bad ending, although this one does not count toward the bad ending achievement.
To continue the trial, choose either Declare Innocent or Shift Discussion.
Multiple Choice: Did the Dismemberer Have an Accomplice?
Correct Answer: They Acted Alone.
According to the rules, anyone other than the Werewolf cannot kill an innocent participant. Therefore, there would be no reason for someone to help the Dismemberer.
Refutation – Vs Everyone 5
Incorrect Statement: Statement 8, Raze: “Eirys messed with the box.”
Correct Evidence: Eirys’ Testimony / Logic Church’s Neutrality.
Eirys is blind, so she would not have been able to carefully move bloody items around the box. Her earlier explanation about the rules also helps disprove the accusation.
Multiple Choice: No Accomplices and the Key Was in Eirys’ Voice-Activated Dog. What’s the Solution?
Correct Answer: Once the Room Was Sealed, No One Could Tamper Inside.
There is another window of opportunity that everyone has overlooked. It happened when Cotari was wheeled out of the room after her hands were severed.
Present Suspect: Who Is the Dismemberer?
Correct Answer: Raze.
Remember who touched the box when Cotari was discovered. Raze looked inside the box and threw it, which makes her the person connected to the limb swap.
Multiple Choice: Why Would No One Notice the Hands Were Swapped With Legs?
Correct Answer: Everyone’s Perception Was Altered by Limb Severance.
The Limb Severance Pathosync makes the participants see the limbs as masses of flesh, making it difficult to distinguish hands from legs.
Refutation – Vs Raze 2
Incorrect Statement: Statement 1: “I have an alibi.”
Correct Evidence: Location Map.
We are not arguing that Raze did not make the drinks. The problem is that nobody can confirm exactly where she was during the entire period or when she made them.
Refutation – Vs Everyone 6
Incorrect Statement: Statement 12, Fayse: “Only Cotari could have unwrapped them.”
Correct Evidence: Cotari’s Cause of Death.
Cotari did not have arms or legs at the time, so she could not have unwrapped anything herself.
Point Out in Scene: Where Was the Dismemberer Hiding?
Correct Answer: The Believer.
The real purpose of the first murder was to create a Believer disguise that the killer could use.
Multiple Choice: With What We Now Know, Under What Circumstances Could Someone Have Been the Dismemberer?
Correct Answer: Anyone Without an Alibi While Both Rooms Were Guarded.
The killer needed to be someone who could have remained inside while both rooms were guarded.
Multiple Choice: Why Were the Severed Limbs in the Shape of a Sea Angel?
Correct Answer: To Mark the Location of Cotari’s Legs.
The Limb Severance disorder makes it difficult to tell the limbs apart, and the killer also suffers from it. Arranging the limbs in a specific Sea Angel pattern allowed the killer to identify which ones belonged to Cotari.
Case Summary Answers
Here are the correct answers for the Chapter 2 Case Summary.
| Slide | Question | Correct Answer |
|---|---|---|
| II | Who did Raze see through? | Dada eating flesh |
| IV | What idea was suggested? | The hands, legs, then death message |
| V | Who was pushed in? | Raze pushing Cotari’s wheelchair |
| VII | What did Raze prepare last for the Chamber discovery? | Sea Angel limb pattern |
| IX | What did Raze do in the limb chaos? | Swapped out the limbs in the box |
| X | What did Raze do before the rooms were sealed? | Set up the drinks and put on the disguise |
| XIII | What did we see the first time we rushed into the Infirmary? | Falling bandages and missing legs |
| XIV | Who was left alone in the Infirmary? | Raze about to stab Cotari |
| XV | What did Raze do to Cotari? | Stabbed her |
Final Trial Choice
After completing the Case Summary, you will need to choose whether to agree or disagree.
Correct Answer: Agree.
Disagreeing leads to the same bad ending as declaring Alice guilty, so make sure you select Agree to continue.
After the trial, you can read one participant’s letter. This choice has no effect on the story.
Chapter 3 Walkthrough
Chapter 3 introduces another complicated mystery involving Silas, Fayse, the Hierarch, and the Werewolf. You will need to pay attention to character abilities, disguises, and events that happened in multiple locations.
Chapter 3 – Investigation
Initial Multiple-Choice Questions
Before starting the investigation, you will encounter a few questions.
Multiple Choice: Why Is It Problematic That the Proxy Won’t Announce a Werewolf’s Kills?
Correct Answer: We can’t tell whether the Werewolf killed them or not.
Multiple Choice: Use the Seer Power Now or Later?
Correct Answer: No effect. Lyle will insist on using it.
Multiple Choice: Do We Let Fayse Take the Lead?
Correct Answer: No effect. Lyle will let her take the lead either way.
Lounge
Start by speaking to everyone in the Lounge. Make sure you go through all available conversation topics.
Some characters have important questions during these conversations.
Silas’ Third Topic
Question: The Hierarch isn’t afraid of being killed because…
Correct Answer: Their death wouldn’t stop the selection.
Fayse’s Second Topic
Question: The most likely participant to theoretically be her father is…
Correct Answer: Silas.
He is the only participant old enough to be a likely candidate.
Hyper’s First Topic
Question: The only way for the Hierarch to die in an earlier round and still be alive is…
Correct Answer: To have faked their death.
Outside Hierarch’s Room
Move to the area outside the Hierarch’s Room.
Examine:
-
Any Door
-
Proxy
Hierarch’s Room
Enter the Hierarch’s Room and examine all available objects and characters.
Check the following:
-
Lena
-
Dada
-
Hanging Clothes Replicas
-
Fayse
-
Bust Behind Fayse
-
Sea Angel Crown (look upwards by adjusting the camera)
-
Believer
-
Proxy
Multiple Choice: Investigate or Not?
Correct Answer: No effect.
Lyle will veto the investigation regardless of your choice.
Multiple Choice: Why Can’t Fayse Sleep?
Correct Answer: Because She’s About to Die.
Multiple Choice: Can Dada Fit Through a Window Smaller Than Her Body?
Correct Answer: No.
Multiple Choice: Why Did Alice Suddenly Shrink?
Correct Answer: Pathosync.
Multiple Choice: Could a Pathosync-Warped Knife Cut Flesh 30 cm Away?
Correct Answer: No.
Multiple Choice: Could a Pathosync-Warped Knife Cut Flesh 30 cm Away If It Was Thrust at Them?
Correct Answer: Yes.
You will now get a choice between visiting the Art Room and the Archive. We will investigate both locations.
Art Room
Enter the Art Room and examine:
-
Door
-
Believer
-
Art on the Back Wall
-
Sea Angel Lantern
-
Suspended Paintings
-
Saw Handle
-
Plaster Barrels
Back Wall Art – Multiple Choice
Question: Fayse feels dizzy because…
Correct Answer: There are faces everywhere in this room.
Multiple Choice: Why Do the Self-Portraits of the Hierarch All Look Different?
Correct Answer: The Hierarch can change their appearance.
The Archive
Next, visit the Archive and examine:
-
Door
-
Believer
-
Terminal
-
Fayse
-
???/X Locker
-
Kizuna’s Locker
-
Lena
After completing both locations, several scenes will play.
Art Studio – Second Investigation
Return to the Art Studio after the scenes.
This time, you need to examine many more objects.
Check:
-
Lena
-
Alice
-
Hyper
-
Eirys
-
Back Wall Paintings
-
Suspended Paintings
-
Body
-
Bloody Statue Gouges
-
Burnt Plaster Bucket
-
Syringe on the Central Floor
-
Proxy
-
Fayse
Hyper – Multiple Choice
Question: If Silas is dead, then the killer could be…
Correct Answer: Everyone but Eirys.
Back Wall Paintings – Multiple Choice
Question: The person who would feel sick from portraits is…
Correct Answer: Fayse.
Body – Multiple Choice
Question: The head was burned to…
Correct Answer: Make the victim unidentifiable.
Multiple Choice: Alice Suggests the Killer Simply Got the Blade Close, Turned It Off, and Used the Remote for the Rest. What’s the Problem?
Correct Answer: The cutting machine resets to its default position every time it is deactivated.
This means the proposed method would not work.
Multiple Choice: Where Could Silas Have Hidden in the Art Studio?
Correct Answer: Hung Upside Down on the Statue.
This is an important deduction because Silas was actually the victim.
Multiple Choice: Whose Ability Is Face Erasure?
Correct Answer: Fayse.
Bad Ending Choice: Call for a Trial Now or Delay?
Calling for a trial leads to a bad ending.
Choose Delay to continue the investigation.
The reason is that the rules state the Werewolf instantly wins if a trial is called before a death. Therefore, it is safer to investigate the Archive before proceeding.
Archive – Second Investigation
Return to the Archive.
You only need to check the Terminal to continue. However, I recommend examining Raze and Cotari’s Lockers as well because they contain additional backstory.
Multiple Choice: What Role Is Silas NOT?
Correct Answer: Werewolf.
There can only be one Werewolf per round, and we already know that Fayse is the Werewolf.
Multiple Choice: Should Fayse Be Confined?
Correct Answer: No effect.
Fayse will veto the decision regardless of what you choose.
Archive Room – Third Investigation
Return to the Archive Room and examine:
-
Three Broken Lockers
-
Memory Chip
Hierarch’s Room – Second Investigation
Now return to the Hierarch’s Room.
Check:
-
Doors (hotspot on the left)
-
Center of the Portrait Wall
-
Eirys
-
Proxy
Multiple Choice: What Is the Most Likely Identity of the Charred Corpse?
Correct Answer: Silas.
Bad Ending Choice: Do We Let Fayse Leave?
Correct Answer: Yes.
Choosing No results in a game over. Select Yes to continue.
Multiple Choice: What Triggers the Hierarch’s Room Death Trap?
Correct Answer: Someone dying inside.
Art Room – Third Investigation
Return to the Art Room for another investigation.
Examine:
-
Charred Head
-
Broken Skylight
-
Sea Angel Marking
-
Body
-
Fragments in Front of the Statue
-
Breathing Apparatus
-
Fayse
Silas’ Bedroom
Finally, visit Silas’ Bedroom and examine:
-
Letter
-
Memory Chip
After finishing these investigations, you can begin the Chapter 3 trial.
Chapter 3 – Trial
The Chapter 3 trial focuses on discovering how Silas was involved in the murder, how the fake decapitation incident was created, and who helped him.
Multiple Choice: Who Is This Round’s Victim?
Correct Answer: Silas.
He is the only participant who is not present.
Refutation – Vs Hyper 1
Incorrect Statement: Statement 3: “And he set out to kill the Werewolf.”
Correct Evidence: Seer.
The Seer is banned from killing the Werewolf, so this statement is incorrect.
Refutation – Vs Everyone 1
Incorrect Statement: Statement 6, Hyper: “Silas dragged everyone into the Art Studio.”
Correct Evidence: Eirys’ Testimony.
Eirys was not present, which disproves the statement.
Refutation – Vs Hyper 2
Incorrect Statement: Statement 8: “Saw Fayse using the machine.”
Correct Evidence: Fayse’s Testimony.
Hyper claims to have seen Fayse using the machine, but Fayse says she was forced to do so because of the Phantom Hand Pathosync.
Present in Scene: Where Was Silas Hiding?
Correct Answer: The Hanging Body.
We previously discussed the possibility that Silas was the hanging body. Although it might sound impossible, he could have been the victim hanging from the statue and still survived.
Multiple Choice: What Proves the Art Studio Victim Isn’t Silas?
Correct Answer: Cause of Death.
The Proxy confirmed that the participant’s victim was burned to death.
Refutation – Vs Hyper 3
Incorrect Statement: Statement 9: “We couldn’t tell it was burned beyond recognition due to Face Erasure.”
Correct Evidence: Face Erasure.
Fayse’s ability only works on things that can be recognized as faces. If the head was completely unrecognizable, the ability would not register it as a face.
Multiple Choice: What Part of the Art Studio Case Couldn’t Have Been Done by Silas?
Correct Answer: Face Erasure.
Silas had no way to force Fayse to use this ability on her own.
Refutation – Vs Everyone 2
Incorrect Statement: Statement 7, Fayse: “We all clearly saw.”
Correct Evidence: Lena’s Testimony.
Lena remembers that Face Erasure was active. Therefore, we cannot be certain that Fayse herself was present. Someone else could have been wearing Fayse’s outfit.
Multiple Choice: If Fayse Was in the Hierarch’s Room, Then Who Was the Art Studio Fayse?
Correct Answer: A Believer Dressed in Fayse’s Clothes.
Multiple Choice: Why Does Fayse Remember the Murder if She Wasn’t Present for What We Saw?
Correct Answer: Because the Same Murder Happened Multiple Times.
This sounds strange at first, but it makes sense when you consider Face Erasure. The killer could use different participants to recreate the same murder multiple times, with everyone except one person being replaced by actors.
Point Out in Scene: What Are the Three Inconsistencies?
Correct Answer: Alice, Elian, and Hyper.
All three characters do not remember the murder, even though our memory shows them standing there during the incident.
Refutation – Vs Dada 1
Incorrect Statement: Statement 1: “There’s no evidence of three decapitations.”
Correct Evidence: Three Gouges.
The saw left marks near the decapitation point three separate times, matching the number of reenactments.
Refutation – Vs Everyone 3
Incorrect Statement: Statement 3, Alice: “He wouldn’t have to enter the room in the first place.”
Correct Evidence: Other’s Hand.
This ability only works when the target is within line of sight. Therefore, Silas would have needed to enter the room to make Fayse perform the reenactment.
Refutation – Vs Dada 2
Incorrect Statement: Statement 2, Dada: “Anyone could see down from the Hierarch’s room.”
Correct Evidence: Art Studio Location (1/4).
Our theory is that Silas used his power to make someone operate the saw on the victim tied to the statue. However, the floating island is directly above the statue and blocks the view of the actual cutting area.
Point Out in Scene: Where Was Silas Hiding?
Correct Answer: Behind Elian, in the Mass of Face Erasure Static.
Multiple Choice: What Proves That the Portraits Were Used for This Effect?
Correct Answer: Paintings on the Floor.
Refutation – Vs Hyper 4
Incorrect Statement: Statement 9, Hyper: “Anyone other than Eirys or Fayse could have done it.”
Correct Evidence: Fayse’s Testimony.
Fayse claims that she was affected by Other’s Hand. This means Silas must have been involved.
Multiple Choice: Who Is the Other Silas?
Correct Answer: Silas’ Left Hand.
This is the hand that always moves independently and performs the best actions.
Choose Person: Who Is Silas’ Accomplice?
Correct Answer: Alice.
Alice is the perfect shapeshifter, which would explain how someone could impersonate the Proxy. It also explains why Silas had her Memory Chip.
Multiple Choice: What Proves One Participant Can Shapeshift?
Correct Answer: Raze?
Someone would need to be capable of perfectly replicating Raze, which points toward a participant with shapeshifting abilities.
Multiple Choice: What Proves Alice Is Silas’ Accomplice?
Correct Answer: The Archive Room Explosion.
Alice was the guard on duty during the explosion. Therefore, the only way it could have happened was if she was working with Silas.
Refutation – Vs Hyper 5
Incorrect Statement: Statement 1: “The death trap was probably a bomb.”
Correct Evidence: Gas Canister.
The explosion was smaller and more localized than a normal bomb explosion.
Present in Scene: What Proves Silas Was NOT Burned Beyond Recognition in the Hierarch’s Room?
Correct Answer: The Central Circle of Portraits.
The portrait wall is made of paper. If the fire had been strong enough to completely char the body, the paper portraits would also have caught fire.
Multiple Choice: If Alice Didn’t Help and Silas Had to Be Moved Into the Room After Being Burned, What Can We Conclude?
Correct Answer: Someone Killed Silas.
A third person would have needed to kill him.
Refutation – Vs Hyper 6
Incorrect Statement: Statement 2, Dada: “When everyone was in the room.”
Correct Evidence: Fayse’s Discomfort.
Fayse stepped outside with Alice, which disproves the statement.
Refutation – Vs Hyper 7
Incorrect Statement: Statement 4, Hyper: “After the door opened.”
Correct Evidence: The Closed Door.
We specifically locked the Art Studio door, which makes this statement incorrect.
Present in Scene: What Makes It Impossible for Fayse to Carry the Body to the Center of the Hierarch’s Room?
Correct Answer: The Wall of Portraits.
Fayse becomes extremely uncomfortable around portraits and can barely stand in that room.
Multiple Choice: What Was Silas Trying to Discover Through the Decapitation Incident?
Correct Answer: Who Is the Werewolf?
Silas suspected that Fayse was the Werewolf. By involving us in the incident, he wanted to confirm his suspicion.
Present Person: Identify the Werewolf.
Correct Answer: Fayse.
Multiple Choice: What Would Silas Do to Save Fayse?
Correct Answer: Make Fayse Kill Someone Unknowingly.
If Fayse refuses to kill someone and that refusal would cause her death, Silas could save her by forcing her to kill without realizing what she was doing.
Refutation – Vs Lena
Incorrect Statement: Statement 14: “How could someone burn to death in a room full of water?”
Correct Evidence: Special Plaster.
The special plaster generates extreme heat when exposed to water, which explains how the body could have been burned.
Select Person: Identify the Person Who Killed Silas.
Correct Answer: Fayse.
She cut open the skylight and flooded the room, activating the plaster and causing Silas to burn.
Multiple Choice: Who Put the Breathing Apparatus on Fayse?
Correct Answer: Silas.
He was the only other person in the room who could have done it.
Multiple Choice: Why Did Not Having Werewolf Preparation Barely Matter to Silas?
Correct Answer: Because He Had Other’s Hand.
Silas already had an ability that allowed him to control other people, so he did not need additional Werewolf preparation.
Refutation – Vs Alice 1
Incorrect Statement: Statement 9: “How could he have known when to activate the trap?”
Correct Evidence: Wires.
When Fayse and Alice left, the wires on their doors were pulled taut. Silas could simply look up and use the wires to determine the right moment.
Multiple Choice: What Did Silas Do Before Hiding?
Correct Answer: Disfigured Himself Completely Beforehand.
Fayse could not use her ability to recognize burnt faces, so Silas changed his appearance before hiding.

Refutation – Vs Alice 2
Incorrect Statement: Statement 8: “How could anyone time that perfectly?”
Correct Evidence: Other’s Hand.
Silas’ left hand moves independently and performs actions according to his wishes. This explains how he could time the trap perfectly.
This completes the Chapter 3 walkthrough.
Psycho-Sleuth Achievements Guide
There are several achievements connected to your chapter rankings and bad endings. If you want to complete the game, you should pay attention to these requirements.
Chapter Ranking Achievements
Your chapter ranking is calculated at the end of the chapter’s Results Screen. It is important to understand that the ranking does not necessarily appear immediately after the execution.
For example, Chapter 2’s ranking screen appears around ten minutes after the execution.
Your ranking depends on how many mistakes you make during the chapter. Making too many mistakes will lower your final grade.
Based on the available results, finishing a trial with 16 mistakes resulted in a B ranking, while 12 mistakes resulted in an A ranking. The exact number of mistakes allowed for each rank is not fully established.
I recommend aiming for an S rank on your first playthrough rather than relying on replaying chapters later.
Here are the ranking achievements:
| Achievement | Requirement |
|---|---|
| Armchair Detective | Get B or higher in all chapters |
| Great Detective | Get A or higher in all chapters |
| God of Deduction | Get S or higher in all chapters |

Final Tips for Completing Psycho-Sleuth
Psycho-Sleuth can be challenging because many of its mysteries depend on small details that are easy to overlook. However, if you carefully investigate every room and pay attention to character abilities, the trials become much easier to understand.
