Who is Aaron?

Aaron is a 15 year old Twitch Streamer from California who was with a very rare genetic skin disease called Recessive Dystrophic Epidermolysis Bullosa, which can sometimes make gaming difficult for Aaron. Interview with Aaron:

What made you want to start streaming?

I loved watching Minecraft and Call of Duty streamers when I was younger and I thought to myself, hey I could do that!

In late 2018 my first stream was a game called War Thunder.

What is your favorite thing about streaming on Twitch?

Interacting and building relationships with my community is my favorite thing about streaming.

Have you got any goals you want to gain? What are they?

My main goal is to become a Twitch Partner and to join an organisation. That would be a dream come true.

Would you ever join an org? Is there a particular org you have in mind?
Yes, I would definitely join an organisation. Either TSM or FaZe I love them both.

Is there a particular hobby or interest you enjoy outside of streaming?

No. 😊

Do you see Twitch as a sustainable career path or would you rather a “normal” job?
I see my streaming career going far and I know that it is a sustainable career path. It’s all about the grind and being passionate about it.

If I were to have an actual job, it would probably be on the Video/Photo editing side.

What is your favorite game to play right now?

As of right now Fortnite is my favorite game but with the current meta, it might change. Who knows!

Are your parents okay with you streaming? How did they react at first?

My Dad is perfectly fine with me streaming and they are very proud of what I’ve achieved. At first my Dad didn’t really have a reaction. He sort of just thought I was doing my normal gaming routines. When I first told him he was like “Oh nice” He never thought I’d come this far.

Could you briefly explain to us what Recessive Dystrophic Epidermolysis Bullosa is?

Recessive Dystrophic Epidermolysis Bullosa (RDEB) for short is a skin condition that makes the skin very fragile and minor friction can cause blistering and or scrapes.

How do you play Fortnite and other video games with Recessive Dystrophic Epidermolysis Bullosa?
I play Fortnite by using Foot pedals as my build keys, and I use a Logitech G502 attached to a rubber strap so I can put my hand in between.

For other games such as CSGO I’d use my pedals for binds such as Walk or Knife.

How do you deal with internet “trolls”? Do they bother you?

I usually just leave the trolls upto my mods, but if it was only me and my Mods were busy I’d usually just ignore them and time them out or ban them. Trolls can get annoying at times, but they don’t bother me too much.

If you had to choose, Playstation or Xbox?

Xbox because it’s very accessible for people like me. You can connect a keyboard and mouse and use devices such as the Xbox adaptive controller.
