The Exorcist Rod is one of the exclusive rewards available through Ken Carson’s questline in Fisch’s Venue Encore update. To unlock it, you’ll need to find Ken Carson in the Underground Music Venue and complete his multi-stage fishing quests.
In this guide, I’ll walk you through how to reach the venue, start Ken’s quest, complete each fish delivery, and claim the Exorcist Rod. I’ll also cover a few important mistakes to avoid while progressing.
How to Find the Underground Music Venue
Ken Carson is located in the Underground Music Venue beneath Crystal Cove.
If you haven’t unlocked the venue yet, you’ll need to:
- Travel to Crystal Cove.
- Follow the cave route leading to the Underground Music Venue.
- Use a Chaotic Enchant Relic at the required pedestal to unlock access.
- Enter the venue and look for Ken Carson among the event NPCs.
Once you reach the venue, speak to Ken Carson to begin his questline.
How to Complete Ken Carson’s Questline
Ken Carson’s quest is divided into multiple stages based on different eras of his music. Each stage requires you to catch and deliver specific fish.
Step 1: Accept Ken Carson’s Quest
Talk to Ken Carson inside the Underground Music Venue. Read his dialogue carefully and check the quest requirements.
The requested fish can change between stages, so always check the exact fish name and any special conditions before leaving to fish.
Step 2: Catch the Required Fish
Head to the location where the requested fish can be caught and complete the objective.
Keep these points in mind:
- Catch the exact fish listed in your quest.
- Follow any special conditions shown in the quest requirements.
- Keep the required fish in your inventory until you deliver it.
- Avoid selling or releasing fish you still need for the quest.
The update announcement confirms that the quest includes multiple music eras, but it does not provide a complete list of required fish or the exact number of stages. Use the requirements displayed in your own quest screen rather than relying on an unverified fish list.
Step 3: Deliver the Fish to Ken Carson
After catching the required fish, return to the Underground Music Venue and speak to Ken Carson.
Deliver the requested fish to complete the current stage. Then talk to him again to check whether the next quest stage has become available.
Step 4: Repeat Until the Questline Is Complete
Continue completing each stage:
- Read Ken Carson’s next quest requirements.
- Catch the requested fish.
- Return to the venue.
- Deliver the fish and advance to the next stage.
Completing the first delivery does not finish the entire questline. You must complete every stage to unlock the final rewards.
How to Claim the Exorcist Rod
Once you complete the final stage of Ken Carson’s questline, you’ll unlock the Exorcist Rod along with other exclusive rewards.
To make sure you receive everything:
- Confirm that the final quest stage is marked complete.
- Check your equipment and inventory for the Exorcist Rod.
- Review the rewards to ensure you’ve claimed everything available.
To get the Exorcist Rod in Fisch, unlock the Underground Music Venue beneath Crystal Cove, speak to Ken Carson, and complete every stage of his fish-delivery questline. Follow the exact requirements shown in your quest screen, and you’ll be able to claim the Exorcist Rod and the other exclusive rewards once the final stage is finished.
