How to unlock Heart Shield & Voodoo Doll in BALL x PIT

Unlocking every passive in Ball x Pit can be tricky, especially if you’re aiming for the Encyclopedia Completion achievement. Some items, like the Heart, Shield, Hood, and Voodoo Doll, don’t appear easily and can confuse players who don’t know the conditions.

This How to unlock Heart Shield & Voodoo Doll in BALL x PIT guide explains exactly how to get each one step-by-step, so you can finish your collection without missing anything.

How to unlock Heart Shield & Voodoo Doll in BALL x PIT

Voodoo Doll

The Voodoo Doll is one of the hardest passive items to unlock because it’s tied to a hidden weapon evolution — the Sacrificial Ball. You can’t find it directly; it must be crafted during a single run through weapon evolution.

How to Unlock the Voodoo Doll

Get the Spiked Ball

During your run, pick up the Spiked Ball weapon. You’ll need this as your base weapon for evolution.

Get the Dark Ball

In the same run, obtain the Dark Ball (or any similar curse-type ball such as Darkness or Ghost Ball).

You don’t need this exact one, but the evolution requires combining a cursed weapon with a base type.

Upgrade Both Weapons

Level up both the Spiked Ball and the Dark Ball to Level 3.

Evolution options only appear once both items meet this requirement.

Evolve into the Sacrificial Ball

When both are maxed out, evolve them together to create the Sacrificial Ball — a unique legendary weapon.

Unlock the Voodoo Doll Passive

Once the Sacrificial Ball is equipped, you’ll unlock the Voodoo Doll passive.

It will appear as a passive option when you level up, but only if you still have room for new passives.

Remember: this must all be done within the same run — the doll won’t appear if the Sacrificial Ball wasn’t created during that attempt.

If you did everything correctly, the Voodoo Doll should appear soon after the evolution.

Heart, Shield, and Hood

Compared to the Voodoo Doll, these three are much easier to unlock — but still easy to overlook if you don’t know how they work.

How to Unlock the Heart, Shield, and Hood

Acquire a Statue Passive

During your runs, you’ll occasionally find Statue passives:

Sword Statue (Offensive)

Bow Statue (Ranged)

Healer Statue (Supportive)

Equip One or More Statues

You don’t need all three. Having just one equipped is enough to unlock the corresponding set of passive items.

Level Up With Space for Passives

Once a statue is equipped, keep leveling up.

If you have open passive slots, the Heart, Shield, and Hood will begin appearing as options.

Change Statue Type if Needed

If you’ve equipped one statue but a certain item (for example, the Hood) doesn’t appear, try switching statues in your next run.

Each statue slightly influences the passive pool, so rotating them can help trigger the missing ones.

You must find all four of these items to complete the Encyclopedia Achievement. The Voodoo Doll tends to be the last one most players unlock, simply because its evolution requirement isn’t obvious. Always keep one or two passive slots free when experimenting — otherwise, new unlockables won’t show up.

Once all four are unlocked, you’ll have every hidden passive in the game and can safely aim for your full completion run.
