Blue Lock Rivals NEL Isagi vs NEL Rin Update – Demon King Flow

The face-off we’ve all been waiting for is finally here. The Prodigies vs Talented Learners Update brings a full rework for NEL Isagi and NEL Rin, a new Demon King Flow, cinematic awakenings, fresh bundles, and even an upcoming Rivals Reaction system. Here’s a full breakdown of everything this massive patch adds to Blue Lock: Rivals.

Blue Lock Rivals NEL Isagi vs NEL Rin Update – Demon King Flow

NEL Rin Rework

Rin’s identity has been redefined. He now builds a Rage Meter that charges while he’s off the ball—or when he’s punished by tackles. This new system powers up key skills and lets you trigger Destroyer Mode, a short burst of speed and shooting power.

Rage Meter Basics:

  • Charges over time (30 sec to full)
  • Gains bonus charge on getting tackled or ankle broken
  • Boosts certain skills once thresholds are hit

Core Skills

Destroyer Mode (C):
Trigger it at full rage while on the ball. Gives a speed boost and stronger shots. Lasts 8 seconds. After it’s used, this key becomes Opposite Direction.

Opposite Direction (C – Secondary):
Rin’s original dribble move returns. Only usable during Destroyer Mode.

Curve Shot (B):
Powered-up version comes with new visuals. Becomes stronger when rage hits 75%.

Destructive Charge (V – Off-ball):
Speed scales with rage — faster above 50%, normal below it.

Occlusion Break (V – On-ball):
No major changes here.

Awakening

  • New and secret cutscenes
  • Center of Gravity (C) returns
  • Destructive Crash Shot (V) gets a cinematic upgrade

NEL Isagi Rework

Isagi’s gameplay now revolves around the Adaption Meter — a system that rewards positioning and timing. Like Rin, his meter charges off-ball and on failed plays, but powers up moves that highlight field awareness and precision.

Adaption Meter Basics:

  • Charges passively off the ball
  • Also charges from tackles or ankle breaks
  • Required for Omnivision Mode

Core Skills

Lefty Shot (C):
A new height-adjustable shot animation. Stronger with 75%+ adaption.

Direct Shot (Key – Off-ball):
Now reacts to loose balls. Automatically shoots if timed right. Also adaption-scaled.

Omnivision Mode (V):
Activate at full adaption. Provides movement boost and metavision-like benefits. After use, this switches into Blindspot.

Blindspot (V – Secondary):
Lets Isagi run into the opponent’s blindspot. If timed right, it stuns and steals the ball.

Offensive Dash (B – On-ball):
Faster with high adaption. Two charges.

Defensive Dash (B – Off-ball):
A long-range single dash. Distance equals ~85% of two offensive dashes.

Awakening

  • New secret awakening variant
  • Demon King (C) remains unchanged
  • Two Gun Volley (V) has updated animation

Demon King Flow

  • Name: Demon King
  • Rarity: World Class
  • Buffs:
    • +20% volley damage
    • +10% shot power
    • Slight movement speed bonus
    • Longer tackle reach

Rivals Reaction System (Coming Soon)

This is a brand-new mechanic coming later today:

  • Triggers when NEL Isagi and Rin are near each other
  • One has to be holding the ball
  • Press the prompt to trigger a cutscene clash
  • 50/50 outcome: one keeps the ball, the other gets ankle broken
  • Only usable once per match
