FINAL FANTASY RESONANCE is a turn-based RPG where you assemble a party, battle monsters, and explore worlds inspired by the franchise’s rich history. Equipping spirits of legendary characters gives your party powerful combat skills to turn the tide against tough bosses.
Tracking down every single ally is no small task, especially since final fantasy resonance visions cover 17 mainline protagonists from the original 1987 title up to Clive from Final Fantasy XVI. You will also encounter bonus characters from Brave Exvius like Charlotte, Wilhelm, and Ayaka, making vision locations easy to overlook if you sprint through the story.
This walkthrough lists the exact locations for all mainline heroes and Brave Exvius characters you can recruit. You will find out who to recruit, where they show up, and how they function as equipable combat assets.
Introduction
This walkthrough will help you track down and unlock every single Vision hidden throughout Final Fantasy Resonance.
I might expand this later with full skill breakdowns, but for now we are focusing purely on who you can get and where to find them.
What Are Visions?
Think of Visions as the summoned spirits of legendary heroes pulled from across alternate dimensions—namely, past Final Fantasy games.
Once you equip a Vision to a party member, that character can channel the hero’s strength and fire off their signature skills in battle.
You can collect 17 mainline Final Fantasy Visions in total, stretching all the way from the original 1987 classic up through Final Fantasy XVI.
There are also 9 Visions pulled straight from Brave Exvius. A few of them, like Charlotte, even show up as full story characters during your journey.
How to Get Visions
You will pick up your first two Visions naturally during Chapter 1, but most of the rest are tucked away inside Sanctums scattered across the overworld.
Walk up to the giant crystal inside a Sanctum to view the hero’s backstory. Pick your dialogue choices at the end, and the Vision is yours to equip right away.
Keep in mind that Brave Exvius Visions follow different rules: you unlock them through specific side quests that start popping up in Chapter 5.
Sephiroth is the big exception to the rule—you have to beat him in a proper boss fight before he joins your roster. Make sure your party is well-geared and leveled up, because he hits hard.

Want Even More Visions?
If your roster still feels a little light and you’re missing some favorite units from Brave Exvius, you can actually mod them straight into the game.
Once you round up your favorite heroes, spend time experimenting with different character pairings in your lineup to see which combat abilities fit your playstyle best. If you ever feel like expanding your roster even further down the road, keep an eye on community mods for extra summonable characters.
