If you’ve just jumped into Blox Fruits Update 30, there’s quite a bit to check out this time. The update brings the new Magnet Fruit, a major refresh to the First Sea, a new Magnetic Event, secret puzzles, extra levels, and several other changes.
I went through the update to see what was actually new, and the First Sea rework is probably the first thing you’ll notice. It’s not simply a case of adding a couple of new islands either. Existing areas and bosses have been refreshed, and there are now secrets scattered around the world.
Then there’s the Magnet Fruit itself, which has a completely new set of abilities to try out. So, if you’re wondering what Update 30 actually adds and what you should check first, here’s everything from the update in one place.
Blox Fruits Update 30 Guide – New Features, Codes, Event
Update 30 adds several major features and changes to Blox Fruits. The biggest additions include:
- New Magnet Fruit
- First Sea rework
- Refreshed islands and bosses
- 40 new secrets
- Secret Levels
- Increased level cap
- Magnetic Event
- Magnetic Tokens
- Magnet Gacha
- Quality-of-life changes
There’s quite a lot here, so let’s go through the important additions one by one.
New Magnet Fruit in Blox Fruits
The headline addition is obviously the Magnet Fruit.
You can find it in the Fruit Shop, and when I checked it out, the displayed price was 2,800, although the purchase cost shown to me appeared differently at the time. So, if you’re buying it yourself, I’d recommend checking the current price in-game rather than relying on one particular display.
Once you equip the fruit, you get access to a completely new set of Magnet-based abilities.
I had a chance to test the fruit against some enemies, and honestly, it looks pretty cool in action. The attacks have a strong magnetic theme and some interesting visual effects.
Magnet Fruit Abilities
The first ability I tested was the Z ability.
It launches an attack that ends with a small bomb-like effect, giving it a pretty satisfying finish. I tested it a couple of times and it was already looking good even though I hadn’t leveled the fruit enough to unlock everything.
There’s also an ability called Polarity Drive, which requires 375 Mastery.
I didn’t have enough mastery during my testing to properly showcase every ability, so you’ll need to level up the Magnet Fruit to unlock its complete moveset.
If you’re planning to main this fruit, you’ll definitely want to start working on its mastery after getting it.
First Sea Rework
Another huge part of Update 30 is the complete First Sea rework.
The developers have refreshed the existing First Sea islands and bosses. So, even if you’ve already played through this part of Blox Fruits before, it’s worth going back and taking another look.
This isn’t necessarily a collection of brand-new islands. Instead, familiar areas have been updated and given a fresh look.
The bosses have also received refreshes, making the First Sea feel different from the version many players are already familiar with.
40 New Secrets
This is probably one of the more interesting additions if you enjoy exploring.
There are now 40 new secrets that you can discover throughout the world.
These secrets are essentially small puzzles that can randomly spawn. You’ll need to find them and complete their requirements rather than simply following the normal progression of the game.
So, don’t assume you’ve seen everything just because you’ve already explored an island before. Some of these new secrets can give you a reason to revisit areas you normally wouldn’t bother checking.
New Secret Levels
Completing the new secrets isn’t only about getting the satisfaction of solving a puzzle.
The game now gives you Secret Levels for completing these secrets.
These levels allow you to progress beyond the previous grinding level cap of 2,800.
With all of the secret levels completed, the level cap can now reach 3,000.
That’s a pretty significant change for players who had already reached the previous cap and were looking for another way to progress.
Magnetic Event
Update 30 also introduces the new Magnetic Event.
This event happens every hour, with magnetic enemies appearing throughout the world.
These enemies are powered up with magnetic abilities, so they’ll look and behave differently from the normal NPCs you’re used to fighting.
The main reason to hunt them is the reward they provide: Magnetic Tokens.
When the event is active, keep an eye out for the special enemies and defeat them to collect your tokens.
You can then use those tokens for the new Magnet Gacha.
How To Get Magnetic Tokens
Getting Magnetic Tokens is tied directly to the new Magnetic Event.
When the event starts, magnetic enemies will begin appearing around the world. Find them and defeat them to earn tokens.
The event is not active all the time, so you’ll need to pay attention to when it starts.
I would also recommend watching the compass for the event. The event should be noticeable when it becomes active, so you shouldn’t have to wonder whether it’s happening once the world starts changing.
If you’re specifically farming Magnetic Tokens, make sure you’re ready around the start of the event rather than wandering around somewhere else on the map.
Magnet Gacha
Once you’ve collected enough Magnetic Tokens, you can use them at the new Magnet Gacha.
This gives you another reason to participate in the hourly Magnetic Event. Instead of the tokens simply sitting in your inventory, you can spend them on the new Magnet-related rewards.
If you’re planning to collect everything from the event, you’ll probably want to make a habit of checking the event whenever it comes around.
Quality-of-Life Changes
Update 30 also includes several quality-of-life changes.
These aren’t as flashy as the Magnet Fruit or First Sea rework, but they should make certain parts of the game smoother.
The update log includes these alongside the major features, so there’s more to the update than the headline additions.
Blox Fruits Update 30 Level Cap
The normal grinding cap was previously 2,800.
With the new Secret Level system, players can progress beyond that cap by discovering and completing the new secrets.
The maximum level can now reach 3,000 if you complete all of the required Secret Levels.
This means the new secrets aren’t just optional collectibles. For players chasing maximum progression, they’ll become an important part of the grind.
Final Thoughts
Blox Fruits Update 30 is a pretty substantial update, especially if you’ve been away from the game for a while.
The Magnet Fruit is the obvious new addition to try, but I think the First Sea rework and the 40 new secrets are just as interesting. The ability to reach Level 3,000 through Secret Levels also gives endgame players something new to work toward.
Then you’ve got the hourly Magnetic Event, Magnetic Tokens, and Magnet Gacha on top of all of that.
If you’re jumping into Update 30 for the first time, I’d start by checking out the refreshed First Sea, then keep an eye out for the Magnetic Event while exploring. And, of course, if you manage to get the Magnet Fruit, start leveling its mastery so you can see the full moveset for yourself.
