Crime Boss Rockay City Perks Guide – Stats, Hidden Effects

Crime Boss: Rockay City has plenty of perks that can completely change how you play a mission, but the in-game descriptions do not always tell us the full story. Some perks have hidden numerical values, special interactions, stacking rules, or limitations that are easy to miss while simply reading their descriptions.

In this post, we will take a closer look at every major perk in Crime Boss: Rockay City, including their different tiers, bonuses, hidden mechanics, and useful interactions. Whether you mainly play multiplayer, jump into the story mode, or spend time in the roguelite mode, knowing exactly what your perks do can help you build a much stronger character.

We will go through the offensive, defensive, and utility perks one by one in a simple way. Instead of just looking at the basic descriptions, we’ll focus on what each perk actually gives you and where it can become especially useful during a heist.

Crime Boss Rockay City Perks Guide – All Perks, Stats, Effects

Before we get into the individual perks, it helps to understand how some of the numbers work.

A 1.20x damage multiplier means you deal 20% more damage. On the other hand, a 0.70x damage taken multiplier means you receive 30% less damage.

Equipment recharge bonuses also use a multiplier system. The basic formula works like this:

Equipment Cooldown ÷ Recharge Rate = Actual Cooldown

Most perk bonuses can stack with character-specific bonuses unless a particular perk has an exception.

Also, when we mention downs, we are talking about how many times a heister can be downed before reaching their final death.

Offensive Perks

Marksman

Marksman is a straightforward damage perk for players who want to improve their firearm damage.

  • Tier I: 1.10x gun damage
  • Tier II: 1.20x gun damage
  • Tier III: 1.30x gun damage

At Tier III, you are dealing 30% more firearm damage, which can make a noticeable difference against tougher enemies.

However, Marksman does not increase the damage of the SPX-G grenade, DBGL, or Cleansing Flame.

You can also combine Marksman with Gun Nut, but their combined firearm damage bonus is capped at 1.40x damage.

Melee

If you enjoy getting close to enemies instead of relying entirely on guns, Melee can become one of the strongest offensive perks available.

Tier I:

  • Melee damage: 1.50x
  • Melee damage taken: 1.00x

Tier II:

  • Melee damage: 2.75x
  • Melee damage taken: 0.75x

Tier III:

  • Melee damage: 4.00x
  • Melee damage taken: 0.50x

Tier III is especially powerful because it massively increases your melee damage while also cutting incoming melee damage in half.

Melee can also combine with Razor Focus, reaching up to 4.40x melee damage. If Harvester’s kill buff is involved, the damage can go much higher, potentially reaching 12x damage with Melee III.

Gun Nut

Gun Nut improves several different aspects of firearm handling, making it a useful all-around perk.

Tier I:

  • ADS sway stability: 1.20x
  • Sprint reload: Yes

Tier II:

  • ADS sway stability: 1.35x
  • ADS speed: 1.20x
  • Holster speed: 1.20x
  • Reload speed: 1.10x
  • Gun damage: 1.05x
  • Sprint reload: Yes

Tier III:

  • ADS sway stability: 1.50x
  • ADS speed: 1.35x
  • Holster speed: 1.35x
  • Reload speed: 1.20x
  • Gun damage: 1.10x
  • Sprint reload: Yes

Gun Nut’s damage bonus does not affect SPX-G grenades, DBGL, or Cleansing Flame.

Like Marksman, it can be combined with another firearm damage perk, but Marksman and Gun Nut together are capped at 1.40x firearm damage.

Bullseye

Bullseye is built around throwable weapons and gives you some very interesting bonuses.

The lock-on window remains around 30–60 degrees at every tier.

Tier I:

  • Throwable range: 1.00x
  • Throwable damage: 1.00x
  • Homing: No

Tier II:

  • Throwable range: 1.15x
  • Throwable damage: 1.30x
  • Homing: No

Tier III:

  • Throwable range: 1.30x
  • Throwable damage: 1.50x
  • Homing: Yes

The lock-on and homing effects can work with:

  • Brick
  • Golden Brick
  • Soap
  • Throwing Knife
  • Shuriken

Throwing knives and shuriken can benefit from the effect even when you do not see a visible trajectory.

One major advantage of Bullseye is that its damage modifier can also affect grenade-launcher projectiles, unlike Marksman and Gun Nut.

Close Combat

Close Combat is available through the Cracker Character Pack DLC and focuses on healing through melee kills.

Tier I:

  • Health from one melee kill: +20 HP
  • Extra health per additional kill in the same swing: +15 HP
  • Maximum heal from one swing: +35 HP

Tier II:

  • Health from one melee kill: +25 HP
  • Extra health per additional kill: +20 HP
  • Maximum heal: +70 HP

Tier III:

  • Health from one melee kill: +40 HP
  • Extra health per additional kill: +30 HP
  • Maximum heal: +100 HP

If you regularly fight groups at close range, this perk can help you recover a large amount of health from a successful melee swing.

Fire Frenzy

Fire Frenzy comes with the Hielo Character Pack DLC and improves your weapon’s overall firepower and ammunition capacity.

Tier I:

  • Rate of fire: 1.06x

Tier II:

  • Rate of fire: 1.10x
  • Magazine multiplier: 1.05x
  • Flat magazine bonus: +1
  • Reserve ammo: 1.05x

Tier III:

  • Rate of fire: 1.15x
  • Magazine multiplier: 1.15x
  • Flat magazine bonus: +2
  • Reserve ammo: 1.10x

Magazine rounding can vary slightly depending on the platform, sometimes resulting in around one extra or fewer round.

Because ammo pickups are connected to reserve capacity, Fire Frenzy can also slightly improve how much ammunition you gain from pickups.

Psychopath

Psychopath is another perk from the Hielo Character Pack DLC and works by improving your weapon handling as you continue getting kills.

At all tiers, your starting spread and recoil are set to 120%, while each kill improves the value by 5%.

Tier I:

  • Best spread/recoil at maximum stacks: 80%
  • Decay delay: 5 seconds

Tier II:

  • Best spread/recoil at maximum stacks: 70%
  • Decay delay: 8 seconds

Tier III:

  • Best spread/recoil at maximum stacks: 60%
  • Decay delay: 10 seconds

Stacks decay by 0.5% per second.

Keep in mind that sentry kills, destroyed enemy turrets, and Wraithcall summon kills do not build Psychopath stacks.

Razor Focus

Razor Focus comes with the Smoke Character Pack DLC and is designed for sword-focused builds.

Tier I:

  • Sword range: 1.15x
  • Sword damage: 1.20x

Tier II:

  • Sword range: 1.25x
  • Sword damage: 1.40x

Tier III:

  • Sword range: 1.25x
  • Sword damage: 1.40x
  • Bullet-deflect angle: 30 degrees
  • Bullet-deflect chance: 85%

The bullet-deflection mechanic requires a sword-type weapon such as the Katana, Ninjatō, or ExoSlicer.

Razor Focus can combine with Melee for up to 4.40x melee damage.

The bullet deflection can sometimes be unreliable when enemies are shooting from a different elevation.

Defensive Perks

Health

Health is one of the simplest defensive perks and directly increases your maximum health.

  • Tier I: +10% maximum health
  • Tier II: +20% maximum health
  • Tier III: +30% maximum health

The Rockay Rumble health upgrade can multiply this bonus, making Health even more valuable in that mode.

Sturdy

Sturdy reduces the amount of bullet damage you take.

  • Tier I: 0.90x bullet damage taken
  • Tier II: 0.78x bullet damage taken
  • Tier III: 0.66x bullet damage taken

At Tier III, you take roughly 34% less bullet damage, which can significantly improve your survivability during loud missions.

Vigor

Vigor reduces the delay before your health regeneration starts.

  • Tier I: 0.87x regen delay
  • Tier II: 0.70x regen delay
  • Tier III: 0.50x regen delay

The normal regeneration delay is approximately four seconds before other modifiers are applied.

Vigor can also stack with Medic, potentially reducing the regeneration delay down to 0.25x.

Difficulty-related regeneration delays are handled separately and are added after the reductions from perks and character bonuses.

Comeback

Comeback gives you additional chances to get back into the fight.

Tier I:

  • Extra downs: +1
  • Downed-time multiplier: 1.00x

Tier II:

  • Extra downs: +1
  • Downed-time multiplier: 1.40x

Tier III:

  • Extra downs: +2
  • Downed-time multiplier: 1.40x

On Normal difficulty, a standard bleedout period without taking more damage is roughly 20 seconds per stage.

There is also a special interaction with Inferno. Combining Inferno and Comeback gives you up to five downs, rather than simply stacking everything into six.

Resistance

Resistance protects you against several different damage types and status effects.

Tier I:

  • Fire damage: 0.70x
  • Explosive damage: 0.70x
  • Melee damage: 0.90x
  • Flash duration: 0.70x
  • Stun duration: 0.70x

Tier II:

  • Fire damage: 0.50x
  • Explosive damage: 0.50x
  • Melee damage: 0.80x
  • Flash duration: 0.50x
  • Stun duration: 0.50x

Tier III:

  • Fire damage: 0.30x
  • Explosive damage: 0.30x
  • Melee damage: 0.70x
  • Flash duration: 0.30x
  • Stun duration: 0.30x

This makes Tier III extremely useful when a mission involves explosives, fire, or enemies that constantly use flash and stun effects.

One important limitation is that the flash and stun duration reduction does not apply to AI teammates.

Dodge

Dodge is available through the Hielo Character Pack DLC.

  • Tier I: 5% dodge chance
  • Tier II: 8% dodge chance
  • Tier III: 8% dodge chance with invulnerability after a successful proc

At Tier III, the invulnerability lasts for 5 seconds and has a 20-second cooldown.

However, fire damage, explosive damage, and fall damage do not trigger the dodge chance.

Rebound

Rebound comes with the Smoke Character Pack DLC and trades maximum health for stronger regeneration and movement-related bonuses.

Tier I:

  • Maximum health penalty: -35%
  • Health regeneration: 1.50x
  • Fall damage taken: 70%

Tier II:

  • Maximum health penalty: -30%
  • Health regeneration: 1.50x
  • Fall damage taken: 30%

Tier III:

  • Maximum health penalty: -25%
  • Health regeneration: 1.50x
  • Fall damage taken: 10%
  • Slide speed: 1.20x
  • Slide distance: 1.35x

The approximate regeneration rates are:

Difficulty Normal Regen With Rebound
Normal 40 HP/s 60 HP/s
Hard 32 HP/s 48 HP/s
Extreme 26 HP/s 39 HP/s

You still need to be careful with dangerous drops because instant-kill fall triggers can kill you regardless of the perk.

Also, when Adrenaline is active, its regeneration behavior overrides Rebound’s normal HP-per-second effect.

Inferno

Inferno comes with the Chase Character Pack DLC and provides a powerful ring effect along with additional survival benefits.

Tier I:

  • Ring radius: 8m
  • Ring damage: 1000

Tier II:

  • Ring radius: 12m
  • Ring damage: 1200
  • Ammo resupply on revive: Yes

Tier III:

  • Ring radius: 18m
  • Ring damage: 1600
  • Guaranteed minimum downs: 4
  • Ammo resupply on revive: Yes
  • Self-revive: Yes

Inferno and Comeback together are capped at five downs.

There is also a stealth interaction. While stealth is active, the ring uses approximately a five-second stun effect instead of its usual loud damage behavior.

Utility Perks

Swift

Swift is a great option if you prefer mobility and faster movement during missions.

  • Tier I: +5% movement speed
  • Tier II: +10% movement speed and sprint reload
  • Tier III: +15% movement speed, 1.15x bag carrying speed, and sprint reload

The Rockay Rumble speed upgrade can multiply Swift’s movement bonus.

Tier III is particularly useful for players who spend a lot of time carrying bags or moving quickly between objectives.

Toolkit

Toolkit improves how quickly your equipment recharges.

  • Tier I: 1.25x recharge rate
  • Tier II: 1.50x recharge rate
  • Tier III: 2.00x recharge rate

Toolkit can stack with Geared. Using Toolkit III and Geared III results in a combined 1.80x recharge rate.

However, recharge bonuses do not affect Adrenaline.

Ghost

Ghost is designed for stealth players and reduces your detection rate.

  • Tier I: 0.80x detection rate
  • Tier II: 0.65x detection rate
  • Tier III: 0.50x detection rate

At Tier III, your detection rate is effectively cut in half, making Ghost a strong choice when you want more room to move around before enemies fully notice you.

Medic

Medic improves reviving and reduces the delay before health regeneration begins.

Tier I:

  • Revive speed: 1.50x
  • Speed when being revived: 1.00x
  • Health regen delay: 0.92x

Tier II:

  • Revive speed: 2.00x
  • Speed when being revived: 2.00x
  • Health regen delay: 0.84x

Tier III:

  • Revive speed: 3.00x
  • Speed when being revived: 3.00x
  • Health regen delay: 0.75x

A normal revive takes approximately five seconds before modifiers.

Medic can stack with Vigor to reduce the regeneration delay as low as 0.25x.

If you are playing with a coordinated team, Medic can be one of the most useful support perks available.

Mule

Mule comes with the Jupiter Character Pack DLC and is focused on carrying loot.

At every tier, you receive +1 additional bag capacity.

Tier I:

  • Bag carrying speed: 1.00x

Tier II:

  • Bag carrying speed: 1.15x

Tier III:

  • Bag carrying speed: 1.25x
  • Primary and melee weapons available at maximum bags

The Mule Booster equipment can also stack with Mule.

For players handling large amounts of loot, this perk can make transporting bags much easier.

SAS Instincts

SAS Instincts comes with the Cracker Character Pack DLC and gives you an ADS-based scanning and marking ability.

Tier I:

  • Marking range: 13m
  • Mark duration after leaving ADS: 0.5 seconds
  • Activation time: 1 second
  • Cooldown: 9 seconds

Tier II:

  • Marking range: 20m
  • Mark duration: 5 seconds
  • Activation time: 0.75 seconds
  • Cooldown: 8 seconds

Tier III:

  • Marking range: 30m
  • Mark duration: 15 seconds
  • Activation time: 0.5 seconds
  • Cooldown: 7 seconds

You can manually leave ADS and enter it again to potentially retrigger the scan instead of waiting through the normal process.

Marks are only visible to the player using the perk. Danger targets appear in red, while other useful objects appear in yellow.

Rainmaker

Rainmaker comes with the Wiz Character Pack DLC and is currently the major perk that provides a teamwide benefit.

  • Tier I: +5% mission reward
  • Tier II: +8% mission reward
  • Tier III: +15% mission reward

The important part is that this bonus applies to the entire crew.

If four players are all using Rainmaker III, the team can reach a total bonus of +60% mission rewards.

Rainmaker also increases the value of money pickups in Rockay Rumble.

The reward modifier is determined when the mission starts, so players joining later do not retroactively change the reward amount. You may also notice small differences in displayed mission rewards because of in-game rounding.

Geared

Geared is another perk from the Wiz Character Pack DLC and focuses on equipment charges and recharge behavior.

At all tiers, you get two equipment charges.

  • Tier I: 0.50x equipment recharge rate
  • Tier II: 0.625x equipment recharge rate
  • Tier III: 0.80x equipment recharge rate

Geared can stack with Toolkit, resulting in a combined 1.80x recharge rate.

Only one spent equipment charge recharges at a time.

There is also a special restriction with Adrenaline: a second Adrenaline charge cannot begin recharging while the first one is active.

Nimble

Nimble is one of the most useful utility perks for players who frequently interact with objectives, locks, and other mission mechanics.

Tier I:

  • Interaction-time multiplier: 0.70x
  • Auto-lockpick: No
  • Overdrive assistance: None

Tier II:

  • Interaction-time multiplier: 0.60x
  • Auto-lockpick: 1-pin locks
  • Overdrive assistance: Green-zone slowdown

Tier III:

  • Interaction-time multiplier: 0.40x
  • Auto-lockpick: All locks
  • Overdrive assistance: No overheating

Auto-lockpick appears to activate roughly half a second after beginning an eligible interaction.

Some interaction-speed effects can behave unusually and may appear to remain attached to loot or stack in unexpected ways.

Nimble’s revive interaction bonus also seems to apply only to the first revive interaction during a heist.

The no-overheat effect can occasionally behave inconsistently when performance or network conditions are poor.

Spirit Rend

Spirit Rend comes with the Chase Character Pack DLC and focuses heavily on stealth control.

Tier I:

  • Subdue cone: 80 degrees
  • Time to subdue: 0.3 seconds
  • Subdue duration: 1.20x

Tier II:

  • Subdue range increase: +3m
  • Subdue cone: 80 degrees
  • Time to subdue: 0.3 seconds
  • Subdue duration: 1.20x

Tier III:

  • Subdue range increase: +3m
  • Subdue cone: 80 degrees
  • Time to subdue: 0.3 seconds
  • Subdue duration: 1.20x
  • Shout revive: Yes

The basic Tier I subdue range is approximately 9 meters.

The subdue mechanic only works while stealth is still active and can affect cops, guards, and gangsters. Affected enemies are marked red while their suspicion level decreases.

Spirit Rend III can revive multiple heisters with a single shout, but neither the subdue effect nor the revive can work through walls.

Teamwide Perk Effects

Some perks only benefit the player using them, but Rainmaker is different because it affects the entire crew.

You can identify teamwide perks by the small crew or team icon shown on the perk.

Currently, Rainmaker is the main teamwide perk. Every player using it adds their bonus to the team’s mission reward, allowing a full four-player team with Rainmaker III to reach +60% rewards.

This makes it especially interesting for coordinated multiplayer teams that want to maximize their earnings.

Crime Boss: Rockay City perks can be much more complicated than their short in-game descriptions suggest. Some perks have hidden values, others stack together, and a few have restrictions that can completely change how useful they are for your build.

If you mainly play loud missions, perks like Sturdy, Health, Resistance, Medic, and Inferno can help you survive much longer. Players who prefer aggressive damage builds may want to experiment with Marksman, Gun Nut, Melee, Razor Focus, or Fire Frenzy.

For stealth and objective-focused gameplay, perks such as Ghost, Nimble, SAS Instincts, Spirit Rend, and Swift can make missions much easier to manage. And if you regularly play with a full crew, Rainmaker is worth remembering because its reward bonus can benefit everyone on the team.

The best perk setup will ultimately depend on how you play. I would recommend experimenting with different combinations rather than always choosing perks based only on their basic descriptions, because some of the strongest interactions in Crime Boss: Rockay City only become clear once you understand how these bonuses actually work.
