If you have reached the point where you want to become a Slayer in Project Slayers 2, one of the most important things you need to complete is the Final Selection. If you are not sure where to go or what to expect, don’t worry because I’ll walk you through the process.
Before you can even attempt Final Selection, there are a couple of requirements you need to meet. You need to be level 45, and you cannot be playing as a Demon. If you are already a Demon, you won’t be able to take part in the Slayer Final Selection.
In this guide, I’ll show you how to get to the Final Selection area, when you need to arrive, and some tips that can make the whole experience easier. I personally managed to complete it solo, but I would still recommend bringing some other players with you if you can.
How to Pass Final Selection in Slayers 2 – Requirements
Before you start making your way to the Final Selection area, make sure your character meets the requirements.
You need to:
- Be at least level 45
- Be a human/Slayer candidate
- Not be a Demon
The level requirement is important because you won’t be able to participate before reaching level 45.
So if you are currently below level 45, I recommend focusing on your normal quests and leveling first.
How to Get to Final Selection
Once you reach level 45, you can start making your way toward the Final Selection area.
The Final Selection location is close to the Butterfly Mansion.
From the spawn area, follow the route toward the Butterfly Mansion and continue along the pathway leading toward the Final Selection area.
The easiest way to make sure you are going in the right direction is to follow the path shown in-game rather than trying to run directly across the map.
Once you arrive, you should notice the area where Final Selection takes place.
Pay Attention to the Timer
One of the first things you will notice when you arrive is the timer.
Final Selection does not simply start whenever you walk into the area. There is a countdown that tells you when the next event is going to begin.
The event starts on the hour, so you want to make sure you are at the Final Selection area before the timer reaches the required time.
I recommend getting there a little early instead of waiting until the last second.
That way, you have time to get prepared and make sure you are actually in the correct area when the event begins.
Should You Do Final Selection Solo or With Friends?
This is probably one of the biggest questions you’ll have before starting.
Can you complete Final Selection solo?
Yes, it is possible. I managed to do it myself.
However, I would still recommend bringing other players with you if you have the opportunity.
Final Selection can be difficult, especially if you are not completely comfortable with your combat abilities yet. Having other players around can make the fights much easier because you can work together instead of having to deal with everything by yourself.
Why a Group Can Help
When you have other players with you, you can split up the enemies and help each other during difficult fights.
It also gives you a little more room for mistakes.
If you die or struggle against a particular enemy, having teammates can make the overall run much less stressful.
That said, don’t feel like you absolutely need a group.
If you are confident in your combat skills and your character is properly prepared, you can attempt Final Selection solo just like I did.
Prepare Before Entering Final Selection
Before the event begins, make sure your character is ready.
Since you are already required to be level 45, you should have had plenty of time to improve your character and obtain useful equipment.
I would recommend making sure you have:
- A weapon you are comfortable using
- Your combat abilities ready
- Enough experience with your fighting style
- Your character properly equipped
- A good understanding of your attacks and movement
If you already have a Breathing Style, make sure you are comfortable using its abilities before starting.
You don’t want to be learning your moves for the first time during Final Selection.
What to Do During Final Selection
Once the event starts, your main goal is to survive and complete the objectives given to you.
The biggest mistake you can make is rushing into every fight without thinking.
Take your time when necessary and pay attention to the enemies around you.
If you’re playing with other people, communicate with them and work together.
If you’re playing solo, focus on positioning and avoid taking unnecessary damage.
Don’t Get Overconfident
Even though you are level 45 by this point, that doesn’t mean every enemy will be easy.
You can still get overwhelmed if you attack too aggressively.
I found that it is better to focus on one enemy at a time rather than running directly into a group.
Use your abilities when they are useful, but don’t waste everything immediately if you know you’ll need those abilities again later.
Final Selection Can Be Done Solo
If you don’t have friends online or simply prefer playing alone, you can still give Final Selection a try.
I personally completed it solo, so you shouldn’t assume that you automatically need a full group.
The important thing is being prepared for the difficulty.
If you attempt it and fail, don’t get discouraged. Use the first attempt to learn the enemies, understand the area, and figure out where you made mistakes.
Then you can come back and try again with a better strategy.
What Happens After Final Selection?
Once you successfully complete Final Selection, you are able to continue your Slayer progression.
This is an important milestone because you are no longer just working toward becoming a Slayer — you’ve actually completed one of the major requirements.
From there, you can continue working on your Breathing Style, equipment, quests, and other character progression.
If you haven’t obtained your Breathing Style yet, this is also a good time to work toward one.
Final Selection might look intimidating when you first arrive, but you don’t need to overcomplicate it. The most important thing is simply making sure you meet the requirements and arrive at the right time.
Get yourself to level 45, head toward the Final Selection area near the Butterfly Mansion, and keep an eye on the timer. I personally managed to complete the event solo, but if you have friends available, bringing them along can make things considerably easier.
Once you pass Final Selection, you’ll have another major part of your Project Slayers 2 progression completed, and you can focus on improving your character, getting your Breathing Style, farming better gear, and continuing toward the late game.
