Jump Showdown Workshop Update – Reagan Arataka Rework

Jump Showdown has released a new update, and there is a lot of exciting stuff to check out. This update brings a rework for Reagan Arataka, new move variants for Guts, changes to Gojo’s 0.2 Domain Expansion, and the long-awaited Workshop feature.

In this post, we will tell you everything about the new Jump Showdown update, including Reagan’s reworked abilities, Guts’ new variants, and the custom movesets available through the Workshop. We will also take a closer look at two custom movesets inspired by Sung Jinwoo and Son Goku.

If you enjoy trying new abilities and experimenting with different combos, this update is definitely worth checking out. The Workshop is especially exciting because you can download custom movesets and try them yourself instead of sticking with the standard characters and their abilities.

Jump Showdown Workshop Update – Reagan Arataka Rework

One of the biggest additions in this Jump Showdown update is the rework for Reagan Arataka. His base moveset has received several changes, and you can still use the old version if you prefer the original abilities.

Let’s go through his new abilities and see what has changed.

1. Self-Defense Rush

Self-Defense Rush remains part of Reagan’s moveset. It is one of his main abilities, and you can continue using it while experimenting with the reworked version of the character.

2. Salt Punch

Salt Punch is the second ability. When you use it, Reagan launches forward and sends the opponent flying. The move has a noticeable knockback effect, making it a useful option when you want to push your opponent away.

3. Get a Job

Get a Job is the third ability, and it starts with an uppercut. However, the reworked version also includes a follow-up attack called Anti-Esper Drop Kick.

After using the uppercut, you can follow up with the dropkick to deal additional damage. You can also use the aerial version of the attack, which gives you more flexibility when choosing how to approach your opponent.

One useful thing about this move is that even if you land the dropkick late, the missed variant can still ragdoll the opponent. This gives you some extra room to work with when performing combos.

4. Salt Splash

Salt Splash is Reagan’s fourth ability. This move sends him backward, giving it a different movement option compared to his other attacks.

With the changes to his base abilities, Reagan has more options to experiment with during fights. However, the update’s biggest addition to his character is the new Mob moveset.

Mob’s New Moveset

The rework introduces a complete moveset for Mob that you can switch to while playing Reagan. Instead of simply bringing Mob out for a single attack, you can use a separate set of abilities while fighting alongside him.

Here are the new Mob abilities.

  • Psychic Pull: Pulls the opponent toward you. The visual effects look clean, and the move gives Mob a way to control the opponent’s position.
  • Psychic Push: Sends the opponent flying away, making it a useful ability for creating distance.
  • Psychic Bind: A projectile-style attack that can be used to catch opponents. It also has additional usage options, giving you more ways to use it.
  • Psychic Wave: The fourth ability, which creates a tornado-like attack.

The new Mob moveset is one of my favorite parts of this rework because it feels almost like having another full character available. The visual effects are also looking great, and the different attacks make the moveset enjoyable to try.

New Reagan Awakening Animation

Reagan also has a new ultimate animation. During the animation, he says, “Can’t just let them die. No choice but to fight with all I’ve got.”

The update introduces a new awakening animation, although some impact frames were still expected to be added or improved later. This means the animation could look more complete in a future update.

It is also worth keeping an eye on Reagan’s awakening abilities, as the rework may receive additional changes beyond the new animation.

New Guts Move Variants

Guts has received new move variants in this update, giving players additional ways to use his Cannon Arm and extend their attacks.

Cannon Arm Follow-Up Variant

The first new variant works with Cannon Arm. After holding the Cannon Arm ability, you can click the first ability to trigger a follow-up attack.

This variant pulls you toward the opponent and follows up with a slash. It looks great and gives Guts another option for mixing up his attacks.

I especially like this change because it adds a different way to approach opponents instead of relying on the same attack every time.

Cannon Arm Use-Twice Variant

The second variant involves using Cannon Arm twice. This version launches you forward and gives you another way to approach your opponent.

You can use it for a downward slam into Cannon Arm or take advantage of the additional use to create different attack sequences. Both options are worth testing, depending on how you want to play Guts.

These variants make Guts more interesting to use, and I am looking forward to seeing what other changes the developers might introduce for him in future updates.

Gojo 0.2 Domain Expansion Changes

The update also includes a change to Gojo’s 0.2 Domain Expansion.

The 0.2 expansion is now available with Chant Zero and Chant One. However, Infinite Void still requires Chant Two or Chant Three.

This is an important detail to remember if you use Gojo regularly. Make sure you select the correct chant for the move you want to activate.

Jump Showdown Workshop Is Finally Here

The biggest feature in this update is the official release of the Workshop.

The Workshop allows players to explore custom movesets created for the game. You can download a moveset directly from the Workshop and use it without having to build everything yourself.

This is a great addition because Jump Showdown already has a solid skill builder, and the Workshop makes it easier for players to share their creations with others.

To try a custom moveset, simply open the Workshop, choose a moveset you like, download it, and use it in the game. The available movesets can include custom basic attacks, abilities, follow-ups, finishers, and even ultimate transformations.

Let’s look at two of the custom movesets featured in the update.

Sung Jinwoo Custom Moveset

The first custom moveset is based on Sung Jinwoo from Solo Leveling. This was one of the most impressive movesets showcased in the update because it includes a variety of abilities, summons, finishers, and an ultimate form.

Basic Attacks and Mana

Sung Jinwoo’s basic attacks, or M1s, look clean and feel impactful. Another interesting detail is that using your basic attacks can build up mana.

This makes the moveset feel more complete because your regular attacks contribute to your overall combat options.

1. First Ability

The first ability features a cinematic-style attack. Its animation and presentation make it feel like something that could fit naturally into Jump Showdown.

The moveset also includes follow-up options, so you should experiment with the available inputs to get the most out of it.

2. Stealth Step

Stealth Step is the second ability. It has additional usage options, including a version that can be activated twice.

Make sure you test both versions after downloading the moveset, as the follow-up options can change how you approach a fight.

3. Dagger Rush

Dagger Rush is the third ability. It uses a series of attacks with clean visual effects, making it one of the more enjoyable abilities in the custom moveset.

The move also includes a finisher, which adds another layer to the attack.

4. Ruler’s Authority

Ruler’s Authority is the fourth ability. It also has a variant that can be aimed, giving you more control over how you use the attack.

The combination of different abilities, follow-ups, and finishers makes this custom moveset much more interesting than a basic collection of attacks.

Army of Shadows

One of the biggest highlights of the Sung Jinwoo moveset is Army of Shadows.

This ability summons shadows inspired by Sung Jinwoo’s army, including recognizable characters such as Igris and other shadow soldiers. You can also summon Baru as part of the available options.

The summons make the moveset stand out because they bring one of Sung Jinwoo’s most recognizable powers into Jump Showdown.

If you are a Solo Leveling fan, this is definitely one of the custom movesets worth trying from the Workshop.

Sung Jinwoo Ultimate: Full Acceptance

The ultimate ability is called Full Acceptance, and it transforms the moveset into a more powerful version of Sung Jinwoo.

Once you activate the ultimate, you gain access to several additional attacks.

  • Eclipse Slash: A powerful slash attack featuring a short cinematic sequence.
  • Dragon Sphere: A roar-style attack that deals damage and applies a debuff to the opponent.
  • Oculation: A barrage of attacks that repeatedly hits the target.
  • Monarch’s Judgment: A ranged weapon throw that can be followed up with additional attacks.

Monarch’s Judgment is particularly interesting because hitting the opponent opens up follow-up options. You can continue the sequence with attacks such as Dragon’s Breath and a punch, allowing you to extend your combo.

The moveset also includes additional follow-up inputs, making it feel packed with different ways to attack.

Overall, the Sung Jinwoo moveset is one of the strongest highlights of the Workshop showcase. It combines flashy animations, multiple summons, combo options, and a complete ultimate moveset.

Son Goku Custom Moveset

The second custom moveset featured in the update is based on Son Goku from Dragon Ball.

Just like the Sung Jinwoo moveset, this one includes custom basic attacks, special abilities, follow-ups, and an ultimate transformation.

Basic Attacks and Instant Transmission

Goku’s basic attacks feel impactful, and one of the coolest features is the ability to use Instant Transmission after performing M1s.

Instant Transmission also unlocks additional follow-up options. For example, you can use Kaioken Blitz after teleporting, allowing you to continue your attack sequence.

There is also a downward Kamehameha option available through a follow-up input, giving you more flexibility when attacking from different positions.

1. Finger Cannon

Finger Cannon is the first ability. It fires a fast projectile, although its range is relatively short.

You will probably get the most out of this move when you are already close to your opponent rather than trying to hit someone from far away.

2. Kaioken Influx

Kaioken Influx is the second ability. It delivers a powerful attack sequence and looks especially effective when you can connect it with your other abilities.

The animation gives the move a lot of impact, making it a good option to test during combos.

3. Draconic Meld

Draconic Meld is the third ability, and it features a barrage of attacks.

The move also has a follow-up that allows you to slam the opponent back down after the initial sequence. When combined with Instant Transmission, it gives Goku plenty of ways to keep the pressure on his opponent.

4. Kamehameha

Kamehameha is another major part of the moveset. It gives Goku the signature energy attack that fans would expect from the character.

Together with Finger Cannon, Kaioken Influx, and Draconic Meld, it rounds out the base moveset with a mix of projectiles and close-range attacks.

Goku Ultimate: The Legend

Goku’s ultimate is called The Legend. After activating it, you transform into Super Saiyan and gain access to the ultimate’s available attacks.

The main showcased ability is Angry Kamehameha, which uses a one-handed Kamehameha animation.

The one-handed version looks particularly cool and gives the ultimate a recognizable Dragon Ball feel.

At the time of the showcase, the second ultimate move appeared to use the same attack, so the ultimate moveset seemed to have limited variety compared to Sung Jinwoo’s.

Instant Transmission remains another important part of the custom moveset, helping Goku move around the battlefield and connect his attacks.

Even with fewer showcased ultimate abilities, this moveset is worth checking out if you enjoy Dragon Ball characters and fast-paced combos.

The latest Jump Showdown update brings several welcome changes, but the Workshop is easily the feature I am most excited about. It gives players more freedom to experiment with custom movesets and opens the door for some creative community-made content.

Reagan’s rework, Guts’ new variants, and the Gojo chant changes are also worth checking out if you regularly play these characters.

For now, try the Sung Jinwoo and Son Goku custom movesets if you want something different from the usual gameplay. Let us know which custom moveset you like the most and what you would like to see added to Jump Showdown next.
