Fisch Budling Update Guide – New Quest, Codes

The latest Fisch update has arrived with a few interesting additions for players to check out. In this post, I’ll tell you about everything new in the update, including the new Budling companion, the Astraeus Serenade rod quest line, and three new fish that you can catch.

This update may not be one of the biggest Fisch updates we have seen, but it brings a nice combination of progression, collecting, and companion-related content. So, there are still a few things worth jumping into if you want to experience all the new additions.

I’ll go through each new feature step by step and explain what you need to do. From helping Budling reach the garden safely to starting the new rod progression and searching for the latest fish, we’ll cover everything mentioned in this update.

If you have just entered the game after the update or want a quick look at what has changed, here is everything you need to know about the latest Fisch update.

Fisch Budling Update Guide – New Quest, Codes

The first major addition is Budling, a new companion that you can find wandering around the Living Garden while carrying a random seed.

To complete this part, you need to escort Budling across the side bridges and safely bring him back to the garden. It sounds fairly simple, but there is one important thing that you need to watch out for while doing it.

You must keep Budling away from the water. If Budling touches the water at any point, he will reset completely back to his starting location, meaning you will have to begin the process again.

So, when you are escorting him, I recommend taking your time and being careful around the bridges and water. One mistake can send Budling all the way back and force you to repeat the journey.

Budling may also have some unique passives that other companions do not have. Players will likely need some time to test him properly, but he could turn out to be a pretty interesting companion depending on how those abilities work.

Astraeus Serenade Has Been Added

The update also adds Astraeus Serenade to the Wish of the Sky menu.

You can now select this rod from the menu and begin its original quest line. This gives players who have been waiting for Astraeus Serenade a proper way to start progressing toward it.

Once you choose the rod, you can begin working through its quest line and continue the progression required for it. So, if Astraeus Serenade has been on your list of rods to get, this update finally gives you the chance to start that journey.

Three New Fish to Catch

Along with the new companion and rod progression, Fisch has also added three new catchable fish.

The new fish are:

  • Blue Galapagos Octopus
  • Wrasse
  • Reef Triggerfish

If you want to start searching for these new catches, you should check locations including Desolate Deep, Snowcap Island, and Roslit Bay.

These new additions give collectors a few more fish to hunt down and add to their collection. If you are someone who likes completing your Fisch collection, visiting these locations should be one of the first things you do after the update.

Overall, this Fisch update is not massive, but it adds a nice mix of different content. We get Budling as a new companion, a new progression path for Astraeus Serenade, and three additional fish to catch around the world.

The Budling escort mechanic is probably one of the more interesting parts because you need to carefully bring him across the bridges without letting him fall into the water. Meanwhile, players interested in rod progression can finally start working toward Astraeus Serenade.

And for collectors, the three new fish give you another reason to visit Desolate Deep, Snowcap Island, Snowcap Island, and Roslit Bay and start hunting for new catches.
