Fisch Skycrest Update Guide 2026 – New Codes, Rods

The Skycrest update has added a massive floating island to Fisch, bringing a new progression system, fishing rods, quests, charms, weather events, and several limited-time activities. There is quite a lot to do here, so it can be difficult to know what you should focus on first.

The main progression system in Skycrest is Idle Favor. As you increase your favor, you can upgrade your Crest Amulet and eventually equip up to nine different charms. These charms provide bonuses to stats such as Luck, Control, Resilience, Max Weight, Lure Speed, and Progress Speed.

There is also a long quest line involving Sky Crystals, difficult Idol Trials, special weather, the Aaya hunt, and several NPCs with their own rewards. I’ll go through the important parts of the update below, including the new fishing equipment and limited content you should prioritize while Fishfest is active.

Fisch Skycrest Update Guide 2026 – New Codes, Rods

Idle Favor is the main progression system in the Skycrest update.

As you earn more Idle Favor, you can improve your Crest Amulet and unlock additional charm slots. Eventually, you can equip up to nine charms at the same time.

The charms come from seven ancient idols:

  • Hete
  • Ebisu
  • Fudo
  • Nomi
  • Gariki
  • Shukaku
  • Aminojaku

You level these charms by catching fish around Skycrest. Each charm can provide different bonuses, including:

  • Luck
  • Control
  • Resilience
  • Max Weight
  • Lure Speed
  • Progress Speed

Because these bonuses affect your fishing stats, building Idle Favor is one of the first things I recommend working on after arriving in Skycrest.

Idol Trials and Special Charms

Some of the more difficult Idol Trials are connected to the Tropical Squall and Raging Squall weather events.

Completing these trials can unlock special charms, including:

  • Titanic Charm
  • Flash Charm

If you’re trying to push your Skycrest progression, these trials become important once you have enough Idle Favor to handle them.

Keeper of the Sky and Sky Crystal Quest

Another major quest line comes from the Keeper of the Sky.

The Keeper sends you on a hunt for 10 Sky Crystals hidden throughout different areas of Fisch.

Some of the locations mentioned include:

  • Moosewood
  • Terrapin Island
  • Roselid Bay
  • Snow Cap Island
  • Other areas across the map

The crystals are needed to restore Bea’s Chamber and unlock the path forward.

However, you also need enough Idle Favor to safely place the crystals as you progress through the quest. This means the Idle Favor system and Sky Crystal quest are closely connected.

Fire of Spirits

During a Tropical Squall, you can sacrifice fish at the Fire of Spirits.

Sacrificing fish strengthens the flame. A stronger flame can provide bonuses to nearby Luck and increase weather spawn rates.

Continue making progress with the Fire of Spirits and you can eventually gain access to the Aaya Hunt.

How to Complete the Aaya Hunt

The Aaya Hunt takes you into the underground areas of Skycrest.

During the hunt, you need to chase Aaya through the underground outer ponds and break through its barrier.

Once you get through the barrier, the fight continues inside the chamber.

You’ll need to fight Aaya while avoiding its attacks and complete the encounter to progress through this part of the update.

New Fishing Equipment

Skycrest also adds several pieces of new fishing equipment.

The update includes:

  • 5 new fishing rods
  • Harpoon Gun
  • Spear
  • Crested Relics
  • Emprian Relics

There is plenty of new equipment to work toward, so I would prioritize the items connected to your current progression rather than trying to collect everything immediately.

Elder Kaido’s Shop

Make sure you visit Elder Kaido while exploring Skycrest.

Elder Kaido has a shop containing rare content, along with weekly purchases.

Because some of the shop options are tied to a weekly cycle, it’s worth checking the shop regularly rather than ignoring it after your first visit.

Master Herodto Challenges

Master Herodto offers timed, high-difficulty challenges.

These challenges scale with your current Idle Favor, meaning they become more relevant as you progress through the Skycrest system.

Completing them can reward a large amount of Idle Favor, making them another good way to push your progression once you’re strong enough to complete the challenges.

Limited Firefly Fish

There is also limited content available during Fishfest that you should check out.

At night, you can catch four roaming Firefly variants:

  • Firefly
  • Loopy 5
  • Blue Ghost
  • Gach Benwinged

These can be used as high-tier bait.

Once your Idle Favor is high enough, you can also use Fireflies during a Tropical Squall to tame the Idol Tiger.

Idol Tiger Companion

The Idol Tiger is a new companion that provides several bonuses.

Its effects include:

  • Stronger charm effects
  • Automatic sacrifices for low-rarity catches
  • Extra Idle Favor
  • Active fish spearing

Because of these bonuses, getting the Idol Tiger can be a major goal once you’ve progressed far enough through the Skycrest systems.

New Skycrest Area and Side Quests

Skycrest also introduces a new best fishing area, along with a limited section and more than 20 new side quests.

There is also a special limited quest from Fruit Lover Frank.

This quest is only available this week while the limited content is active, and it is hinted to reward a powerful rod.

Because of that, I would complete Frank’s quest before focusing entirely on the permanent progression.

If you want the shortest possible route through the update, focus on Idle Favor → Charms → Sky Crystals → Weather Events → Aaya Hunt, while completing the limited Fishfest quests and activities whenever they’re available.

There is a lot packed into Skycrest, but you don’t need to tackle everything at once. Build your favor first, improve your charms, and then start pushing into the harder trials and quests.

Most importantly, finish the limited content before Fishfest ends, since those rewards and quests may not remain available afterward.
