Mythic Ascend Dark Void Beginner Guide – Gear, Relics

If you have just started playing Mythic Ascend: Dark Void, there are already plenty of different systems, upgrades, menus, and activities appearing on your screen. It can feel like a lot during your first few hours, especially when you are trying to figure out what you should actually focus on.

In this post, we will tell you about the currently available activation codes, where you can redeem them, and the most important things we recommend doing when starting your journey in Mythic Ascend: Dark Void.

We will also go through progression, combat power, equipment, Forbidden Relics, Spirit Beasts, bosses, and the PvP content waiting for you later in the game. The biggest thing is knowing what deserves your attention early and what you can worry about later.

So, if you want to get stronger quickly without wasting too much time trying to optimize everything immediately, let’s get started.

Mythic Ascend Dark Void Beginner Guide – Gear, Relics

Before getting into the beginner tips, let’s start with the activation codes.

The code menu can be slightly confusing to find because it is hidden inside the game’s menus. First, click the small arrow to open the additional menu section.

You should normally see a button called Bonus. However, sometimes the button may display something different if you have special rewards waiting to be collected. For example, it can say Can Claim instead.

Click that section to open the menu, then look in the bottom-right corner for the Activation Code option. This is where you can enter your codes.

Here are the codes mentioned:

  • VIP999
  • VIP66
  • VIP777
  • VIP888
  • VOIDOPEN

Make sure to enter the codes exactly as shown. These codes can give you different rewards, including treasure chests and other useful items to help you get started.

The VOIDOPEN code was also shown giving additional rewards, including Gallery Treasure Hunt Orders.

Focus on Main Progression First

The first thing I recommend when you begin playing Mythic Ascend: Dark Void is simple: keep progressing through the main content.

You will level up very quickly during the early stages, unlock new systems, receive stronger equipment, and continue increasing your overall power. New features will constantly start appearing as you move forward.

Because everything unlocks so quickly, I would not spend your first hour trying to perfectly optimize every system you come across.

Just keep pushing forward.

Follow the main progression, unlock as many features as possible, and see how far you can get before worrying too much about min-maxing every single upgrade.

There is already a lot happening on the screen, and you can hide some menus if you want to make things easier to manage. But one of the biggest mistakes you can make in games like this is spending 20 minutes perfecting something that will be replaced shortly afterward.

Early progression moves extremely fast.

Don’t Get Too Attached to Early Gear

Your early equipment is going to be replaced constantly.

If the game keeps giving you stronger gear as you progress, there is no reason to become too attached to the first few pieces you obtain. You might spend a lot of time trying to improve something only to find a better replacement shortly afterward.

That is why, early on, we recommend prioritizing progression over trying to make every piece of equipment perfect.

Keep moving forward and upgrade when necessary, but remember that your gear progression will continue changing quickly.

Once your progression starts slowing down and you have access to more important systems, you can begin paying closer attention to optimizing your build.

Keep an Eye on Your Combat Power

Your combat power is displayed in the top-left corner next to your character avatar.

This number is one of the easiest ways to see whether your character is becoming stronger, but it is important to understand where that power actually comes from.

Your strength does not come from only one system.

You can increase your overall power through character progression, equipment, outfits, God Souls, Soul Gear, skills, relics, spirit-related upgrades, and many other systems that you will continue unlocking.

There are a huge number of different ways to improve your character.

So, whenever you get stuck and start wondering how you are supposed to beat a particular stage, do not immediately assume that you simply need better equipment.

Take some time to go through the upgrade menus you have already unlocked.

You may have materials sitting in your inventory that you completely forgot to use. Sometimes a few upgrades from a system you have ignored can give your combat power a major boost.

This is something I would check regularly. Whenever progression starts slowing down, go through your available systems and see if anything can be upgraded.

Don’t Ignore Your Forbidden Relics

Another important system you should pay attention to is the Forbidden Relic System.

Relics are a major part of Mythic Ascend: Dark Void’s overall progression and theme. You are collecting ancient artifacts and using them to unlock additional power for your character.

This is not one of those menus that you should unlock and then completely forget exists.

As you continue progressing and gain access to additional relic upgrades, check the system from time to time. See if you have collected new materials and whether those materials can be used to make your relics stronger.

Later, different relic bonuses can also become part of how you shape your overall build alongside your equipment and skills.

So, make sure relics remain part of your regular upgrade routine.

Upgrade and Check Your Spirit Beasts

Spirit Beasts are another important part of your character build.

The game has its own spirit system where you can form bonds with different mythical guardians and Spirit Beasts. These companions fight alongside you and can provide additional bonuses during combat.

Different Spirit Beasts can provide significant stat increases depending on their level and rarity.

For example, you can see different three-star and four-star beasts offering important boosts to your character.

This means they are not just something you collect and forget about. They are another major part of your overall progression.

Your character and spirit abilities start working together more importantly as you move toward stronger content, especially tougher boss encounters.

Whenever you unlock a new spirit-related feature, actually open the menu and check what you have received.

Look for upgrades, bonuses, and anything that can improve your current setup.

Bosses Will Test How Good Your Build Really Is

As you continue playing, you will eventually reach more difficult PvE content, including bosses and group encounters.

This is where your build really starts getting tested.

Regular progression can sometimes make you feel incredibly powerful because you are constantly receiving upgrades and increasing your combat power.

Then you encounter a difficult boss, and suddenly things become much harder.

When that happens, pay attention to the actual reason you are losing.

Ask yourself a few questions:

  • Are you dying too quickly?
  • Are you surviving but not dealing enough damage?
  • Did you forget to upgrade something?
  • Can your Spirit Beast setup be improved?
  • Do your relics need upgrades?
  • Is there equipment or another progression system you have ignored?

Instead of only staring at your combat power number, try to identify the real problem.

Your power might look high, but the reason you are failing could be something specific that requires a different upgrade.

Finding that weakness will help you make better changes to your character instead of randomly upgrading everything.

Mythic Ascend: Dark Void Has a Big PvP Side

One thing you should know before putting a lot of time into the game is that Mythic Ascend: Dark Void is not only about PvE progression.

At the beginning, it may feel mostly like a PvE-focused progression game, but there is also a significant competitive side waiting for you.

The game includes different PvP activities such as:

  • One-on-one battles
  • Cross-server faction wars
  • Guild-related battles
  • Large battlefield sieges

The larger battlefield content can feature up to 1,000 players competing at the same time.

So, if you enjoy competitive MMORPG-style gameplay, this is ultimately another area your character progression can lead toward.

Your early game is about getting stronger, unlocking systems, improving your build, and learning how everything works. Later, that progression can become much more important when you start entering tougher PvE and competitive PvP content.

Final Tips for New Players

The biggest advice I can give new Mythic Ascend: Dark Void players is to avoid overthinking everything during the first stages of the game.

Keep progressing through the main content and unlock as many systems as possible. Do not waste too much time perfectly optimizing early gear that you will probably replace soon.

Keep checking your combat power, but remember that your strength comes from many different systems. Equipment is important, but so are your relics, skills, Spirit Beasts, character upgrades, and everything else you unlock along the way.

When you get stuck, take a step back and check your menus. There is a good chance you have upgrade materials sitting somewhere that you have not used yet.

And most importantly, when bosses start becoming difficult, look at what is actually causing you to lose instead of only focusing on your power number.

That approach will help you progress much more efficiently as you continue building your character and preparing for both tougher PvE encounters and the game’s larger PvP content.
