If you are just starting Project Slayers 2 and want to level up without feeling completely lost, this guide is for you. I’m going to walk you through the progression from level 0 all the way to the late-game stages, including what quests and areas I recommend doing along the way.
This guide works for both Slayers and Demons, so you can follow most of the progression regardless of which side you choose. I’ll also cover when you should start working toward your Breathing Style or Blood Demon Art, where to farm Demon Horns, and when you should move on to boss farming.
The main goal here is to give you some direction while still letting you experience the game yourself. You don’t have to follow every step perfectly, but if you follow this general route, you should always have an idea of what you should be working toward next.
Slayers 2 Demon/Slayers Level Guide – Level 0 to Max
Before you immediately start grinding enemies, I recommend doing a few things around the starting areas.
You will see NPCs with little icons around them. Make sure you talk to these NPCs and complete the tasks they give you.
Some of these early tasks involve deliveries, picking up items, and spy missions. They might not seem very important at first, but completing them can unlock things that become useful later.
For example, some of these quests eventually give you access to areas where you can sell unwanted items and materials.
Sell Your Unwanted Items
As you play, your inventory will fill up with random materials and equipment that you probably won’t use.
For example, you might end up with things like metal scraps or broken Nichirin Katanas.
Instead of letting all of this junk sit in your inventory, you can sell it for currency or use the resources toward materials you will need later.
I recommend keeping an eye on your inventory as you level because there is no reason to carry around a bunch of equipment that you already know you won’t use.
Unlock the Shrines for Fast Travel
Another thing I recommend doing early is unlocking the shrines around the map.
The shrines can be purchased and used for fast travel.
They do cost some money depending on where you are trying to travel, but I found them extremely useful because they save a lot of time.
Instead of running across the entire map every time you want to visit another area, you can use the shrines to move around much faster.
If you have enough currency, I would make unlocking these fast-travel points one of your early priorities.
Level 0 to 7: Start With Bandits
Once you are ready to start grinding, your first real progression area is the bandits.
First, make sure you set your spawn point at the appropriate location.
Then take the first quest that asks you to defeat three bandits.
After completing that quest, you can continue fighting the bandits and leveling up.
I recommend staying here until around level 7, when you can start fighting the Bandit Boss.
Farm the Bandit Boss
Once you reach level 7, you can start working on the Bandit Boss.
You can choose whether you want to spend some extra time farming the boss for its drops.
There is a chance to get the Cutlass, as well as a skill related to Quick Draw.
You don’t necessarily have to stay here forever, though. If you want to keep progressing quickly, you can simply move on once you are ready.
Level 10 to 18: Head to the Bear Area
Once you are around level 10 to 15, I recommend moving over to the bear area.
The bear area is relatively close to the Bandit Boss location.
Follow the path toward the area and look for the crystal, which can be used to set your spawn.
Once you reach the bear area, look for the NPC named Tom.
Farm the Bear Cubs
At around level 10, you can start taking the bear cub quests.
The cubs are basically your next step after the early bandits.
Keep farming them until you reach around level 18.
Once you reach level 18, you can move on to the Mother Bear quest.
Start Fighting Mother Bear
At level 18, you can begin doing the Mother Bear quest.
This is another straightforward grinding stage. The bears don’t necessarily have a specific drop that you need to chase at this point, but they are useful for continuing your level progression.
You can stay here until you are ready to move toward the next major part of your character progression.
Level 25: Start Your Breathing Style or Blood Demon Art
Once you reach around level 25, you have an important choice to make.
You can continue leveling normally, or you can start working toward your Breathing Style if you are a Slayer or your Blood Demon Art if you are a Demon.
I recommend starting this progression around level 25 because getting your main ability will make the rest of your journey much more enjoyable.
How to Get Your Breathing Style
If you are a Slayer, you need to find the trainer for the Breathing Style you want.
There are different trainers around the map, so you will need to travel to the appropriate trainer for your chosen style.
Once you reach the trainer and have the required materials, you can begin the training process.
For many Breathing Styles, one of the important materials you will need is Demon Horns.
How to Farm Demon Horns
One convenient place to farm Demon Horns is the waterfall area near the bears.
From the Mother Bear area, make your way toward the waterfall.
You can enter the waterfall and find the horned demons inside the cave.
These demons can drop Demon Horns when you defeat them, making this a useful location to farm the material you need for your Breathing Style.
There is also a boss deeper inside the cave.
Farm the Cave Boss
The boss inside the cave can also drop Demon Horns.
It can give you multiple horns, along with additional rewards.
The boss can also drop an outfit and Sickles, which are usable by Demons.
There is also a Sickles-related skill that Demons can obtain.
So if you are already farming Demon Horns, it can be worth fighting the boss as well.
Complete the Breathing Style Minigames
Once you have collected enough Demon Horns and reached your trainer, you can start the actual training.
The trainer will give you a series of minigames that you need to complete.
The minigames are fairly straightforward, so don’t overthink them. Just follow the instructions and complete each one.
Once you finish the required training, you will have your Breathing Style.
How to Get Your Blood Demon Art
If you are playing as a Demon, the progression is a little different.
You need to reach the required negative reputation, which in the guide is -40 reputation.
After reaching that requirement, you need to find the NPC associated with the Blood Demon Art quest.
Complete the Demon Quest
Once you find the NPC, talk to him and follow the quest instructions.
You will be sent to collect Spider Lilies.
After that, you need to find and bring an old man back to the NPC while dealing with Slayers who attempt to stop you.
The quest essentially works like a rescue mission.
Once you complete the objectives and defeat the Slayers, you receive blood from the NPC.
You then drink the blood, which turns your character into a Demon.
Unlock the Blood Demon Art
After becoming a Demon, talk to the NPC again.
He will give you the opportunity to obtain your Blood Demon Art.
The game will roll your Blood Demon Art, and you can then open the result to see what you received.
Once you have it, you are ready to continue your leveling journey with your new abilities.
Level 25 to 40: Continue Grinding Near the Bears
After getting your Breathing Style or Blood Demon Art, I recommend returning to the area near the bears.
There is another quest giver around this area who can provide your next set of grinding quests.
You can stay in this area and continue completing the quests until around level 40.
This gives you a comfortable progression route without needing to constantly travel between different areas.
Level 40 to 50: Return to the Waterfall
Once you reach around level 40, it is time to head back toward the waterfall.
At the waterfall area, look for Wagwan.
He gives you a quest where you need to clear out his guards inside the area.
This is your next major grinding spot.
Keep completing the quests and defeating the enemies until you reach around level 50.
Start Fighting the Boss at Level 50
Once you reach around level 50, you can also start fighting the boss inside the waterfall area.
You can combine the normal quests with boss farming to continue gaining experience while also working toward better loot.
You can generally stay around this area until roughly level 50 to 60, depending on your progression and what you want to farm.
Slayer Final Selection at Level 45
If you are playing as a Slayer, there is another important milestone at level 45.
At this point, you can take part in the Final Selection.
The Final Selection area is close to the Butterfly Mansion.
Simply follow the pathway toward the area and complete the requirements for the exam.
Completing the Final Selection is an important part of becoming a proper Slayer and moving further into the game’s progression.
What to Do After Becoming a Slayer or Demon
Once you have completed the necessary progression and become a Slayer or Demon, your questing changes.
You will start receiving quests from the relevant NPCs, and your Crow can also provide quests.
This means you don’t need to keep relying on the basic NPC bandit quests that you were using earlier in the game.
At this point, your character is moving into the later stages of progression.
Start Farming Bosses for Better Loot
Once you have your major progression completed, I recommend putting more attention toward boss farming.
Get a group of friends or join a group and start farming bosses together.
At this stage, you are no longer simply trying to gain levels. You are also looking for better equipment, materials, weapons, and other loot that can improve your character.
Boss farming becomes an important part of the late-game grind because you can work toward multiple rewards at the same time.
How to Get a Horse
Horses are another way to travel around the map more quickly.
They spawn around the map periodically, roughly every 20 to 30 minutes according to the guide.
However, you need a good amount of Yen to purchase one.
Because of that, I would focus on unlocking your fast-travel shrines before spending your money on a horse.
The fast-travel system can already save you a huge amount of time, especially while you are still progressing through the game.
Complete the Horse Minigame
When the horse event appears, you will need to complete a small timing minigame.
The basic idea is to wait for the circle to reach the correct position and click at the right moment.
If you have already completed the Breathing Style training minigames, the horse minigame should feel pretty familiar.
Once you successfully complete it, you can obtain the horse and spawn it whenever you need it.
Complete Leveling Roadmap
If you want the entire progression in one place, here is the route I would follow from the beginning:

- Complete the early NPC quests.
- Do the delivery and other introductory missions.
- Unlock useful fast-travel shrines.
- Start the bandit quest.
- Farm bandits until around level 7.
- Fight the Bandit Boss once you unlock it.

Late Game
Once you have your major progression completed, start focusing more heavily on boss farming.
Get together with other players, farm bosses, and work toward upgrading your equipment and collecting better loot.
Leveling in Project Slayers 2 doesn’t have to be complicated if you know roughly where you should be going next. Start with the basic bandit quests, move to the bears, and then begin working toward your Breathing Style or Blood Demon Art around level 25.
After that, continue through the bear quests and eventually return to the waterfall for the higher-level quests and boss farming. If you’re a Slayer, don’t forget about the Final Selection once you reach level 45.
The biggest thing I would recommend is not rushing through every part of the game. Take some time to complete the smaller NPC quests, unlock your fast-travel shrines, collect useful materials, and work on your character’s abilities along the way. Once you reach the later stages, you can focus much more on boss farming and getting the loot you actually want.
