Clover RPG Beginner Guide – Quests, NPC, World Events

Clover RPG is an adventure game where you progress through story quests, fight enemies, unlock new abilities, and build your character as you level up. If you’re planning to jump into the game when it releases, there are a few important mechanics you should understand early so you can avoid wasting time and make steady progress.

In this Clover RPG beginner guide, I’ll walk you through the first things you should do after spawning, how to earn XP from quests and world events, and why you shouldn’t ignore skill points. I’ll also explain how traits work, where to learn passives, and how to reset your stats if you want to change your build later.

Whether you’re completely new to the game or already familiar with this type of RPG, these tips should help you get started on the right track. Let’s go through the important systems one by one.

Clover RPG Beginner Guide – Quests, NPC, World Events

When you first spawn into Clover RPG, your main priority should be completing the main story quests. These quests introduce you to the game and help you unlock important features as you progress.

Don’t rush away from the main questline just to explore the entire map. Follow the objectives you’re given and complete the available story missions first. Once you’ve progressed far enough, you’ll be able to unlock your broom, making it easier to travel around the world.

After unlocking the broom, you can start exploring more freely and picking up additional quests scattered across the map.

My tip: Focus on the main story during your first few levels. Once you have your broom, you’ll have a much easier time moving between quest locations and exploring areas you haven’t visited before.

Pick Up Repeatable Quests

While exploring Clover RPG, keep an eye out for quests marked with a blue indicator. These are repeatable quests that you can take again after a short cooldown.

Based on the current gameplay information, the cooldown is around 5–10 minutes, so you won’t have to wait too long before completing them again.

Repeatable quests are useful when you want to keep earning experience without spending all your time searching for new objectives. If you’re already in an area with available quests, finish them before moving somewhere else.

Try to combine these quests with your normal exploration. That way, you’re earning XP while travelling rather than making unnecessary trips across the map.

Complete Bandit Camps and World Events

One of the most important things to look for during early progression is bandit camps and other world events.

These activities can spawn around you as you explore, and they’re worth completing whenever you’re strong enough to handle the enemies. They provide a good amount of XP and can reward you with useful items for your early journey.

You shouldn’t assume that every world event will be the same. Different events can appear in different places, so keep exploring and watch for activities that become available nearby.

Why World Events Are Worth Doing

  • Extra XP: World events help you level up while fighting enemies.
  • Useful early rewards: Completing them can provide items that support your initial progression.
  • More variety: Different events give you something to do beyond the main story and repeatable quests.
  • Efficient progression: You can work on nearby activities instead of travelling back and forth between distant quest locations.

When a world event appears close to you, check whether you can complete it with your current level and equipment. If you can, take advantage of it before continuing your journey.

How Skill Points Work

Skill points are an important part of building your character in Clover RPG. You receive one skill point (SP) per level, which you can use to unlock different upgrades.

These points can be spent on things such as traits, passives, and weapon skills. Because each level provides a limited amount of SP, you should think carefully before spending it.

Instead of unlocking abilities randomly, consider how you want your character to play. If you prefer a particular weapon or combat style, focus on upgrades that support that choice.

Where to Learn Passives

You can visit your magic trainer to learn about available passives. These upgrades are another reason to explore the game’s progression systems rather than focusing exclusively on levelling up.

Check the options available from your trainer and see which passives fit your build. Remember that you may need skill points to unlock certain abilities, so don’t spend everything without checking what you want to learn next.

As you unlock more options, you can gradually shape your character around your preferred playstyle.

How to Reset Your Stats

You might eventually decide that your current stat distribution isn’t working well. Perhaps you want to try a different build, or maybe you spent your points on upgrades that no longer suit your playstyle.

Fortunately, Clover RPG has a stat reset system. However, you need to find the NPC who offers the reset quest and complete the required objective before you can use the service.

Find the NPC and Start Her Quest

Look for the NPC who provides the stat reset quest. When you begin her quest, she’ll ask you to find a White Lotus.

Follow the quest directions to locate the item and complete the objective. Once you’ve finished the required steps, you’ll be able to pay for a stat reset.

Make sure you complete the quest before assuming you can reset your stats immediately. The White Lotus is part of the process described in the current gameplay guide.

How Much Does a Stat Reset Cost?

Resetting your stats costs 100 gold per level. The total price depends on your character’s level when you reset.

For example, a character at level 55 would pay 5,500 gold:

  • Level 10: 1,000 gold
  • Level 25: 2,500 gold
  • Level 40: 4,000 gold
  • Level 55: 5,500 gold

These examples use the 100-gold-per-level pricing shown in the gameplay footage. Check the NPC’s current price in-game in case the developers adjust the cost.

You can reset your stats multiple times, so you’re not permanently locked into one build. However, repeated resets can become expensive as you level up. It’s better to plan your next build before spending your gold.

How Traits Work in Clover RPG

Traits are another important part of character progression. As you develop your character and unlock different options, you’ll see traits that can improve or change your build.

However, simply having access to a trait doesn’t necessarily mean you can learn it immediately. Skill points are required to learn traits, so you’ll need to manage your SP carefully.

Some traits are obtained through quests instead of being unlocked through ordinary progression. This means you should pay attention to quest rewards and explore the game’s different systems instead of relying only on levelling.

Quest-Exclusive Traits

Two traits highlighted in the current gameplay information are:

  • Mana Skin: A trait obtained through a quest.
  • Tempered Body: Another trait that requires a quest to acquire.

If you’re interested in these traits, look for the relevant quests as you progress. Don’t assume that every trait will automatically become available just by spending skill points.

Because traits can influence your build, it’s worth checking what you’ve unlocked before deciding where to spend your next points.

How to Learn Traits in Your Inner World

After acquiring traits and working on your stats, there’s another step you shouldn’t forget: visiting your Inner World.

Open the menu by pressing M, then navigate to your Inner World. This is where you can start learning the traits you’ve acquired.

If you’ve already unlocked a trait but haven’t figured out how to learn it, check this area before assuming something is missing. Acquiring a trait and completing the process to learn it are separate steps in the progression shown in the gameplay.

Make a habit of checking your Inner World after unlocking new traits. It will help you keep track of your available options and make better use of your progression.
