You glide across a canyon in Enshrouded only to get stomped instantly by a level 25 critter because you messed up your enshrouded region level order.
Don’t sweat the red skull icons. You can easily scout the right zones for your gear level, save your sanity, and tackle Embervale without sprinting headfirst into an early grave.
Enshrouded 1.0 Region Map & Level Guide – Exploration Order
Ever finish clearing out a zone only to wander straight into high-level mobs, jagged cliffs, or scorching deserts that wipe you out in seconds? You’re definitely not alone. This guide is here to point you in the right direction so you always know where to head next.
Below, you’ll find general zone levels and an ideal exploration route that takes you from the starter plains all the way up to the frozen peaks of Cinder’s Cradle.
Think of this as a handy roadmap for your journey, not an exhaustive quest walkthrough.
Region Map

How to Read the Map
- Colored outlines mark the rough borders of each zone.
- Numbers next to names show the ideal route to follow.
- Level ranges give you a solid difficulty benchmark, but you don’t need to hit them exactly to slip through.
- Solid arrows point toward your primary progression path.
- The dashed arrow toward Blackmire shows a side venture to tackle while you’re working through Revelwood.
1. Springlands — Levels 1–10
Location: The southwest corner of the map, right where you first wake up.
Take your time here. Master the combat, lay down your first base, and rescue the sleeping craftspeople as your quests pop up.
Don’t rush off across the map just yet—trust me, finishing the early tasks will make the road ahead a lot less painful.
Next stop: Revelwood, sitting right up north of your starter home.
2. Revelwood — Levels 10–15
Location: The dense forests directly north of the Springlands along the western side of the map.
Keep scouring the trees, knocking out fresh quests, and upgrading your weapons and armor.
While you’re here, you can either take a quick detour into Blackmire or gear up to head directly into the Nomad Highlands.
Next stop: The Nomad Highlands, stretching out to the east.
2a. Blackmire — Levels 13–15
Location: A murky swamp tucked away to the northwest, right beside Revelwood.
Consider this an optional side trip while you’re already roaming the forest. We labeled it “2a” because it branches off your main path—it’s not an endgame zone you should wait to hit after the desert.
Once you’re done: Head back to your main trail and strike out toward the Nomad Highlands.
3. Nomad Highlands — Levels 15–20
Location: The sprawling central plateau outlined in bright orange.
This is your natural next step after finishing up in the woods. Roam the canyons, finish off the local quests, and get your equipment in order before you push any further.
Next stop: The Kindlewastes, waiting for you to the east and southeast.
4. Kindlewastes — Levels 20–30
Location: The big desert out in the southeast.
The level gap across this zone is pretty wide, and certain spots hit way harder than others. Definitely don’t feel pressured to clear out the entire desert the second you hit level 20.
Where to head next: Albaneve Summits, straight to the north.
5. Albaneve Summits — Levels 30–40
Location: The snowy mountain peaks in the northeast, marked with a blue outline.
Double-check your gear and stash before you start climbing into the cold. If the enemies here start kicking your teeth in, head back to wrap up older quests and return once you’re geared properly.
Where to head next: Veilwater Basin, over to the west.
6. Veilwater Basin — Levels 35–45
Location: The sprawling lakes and rivers sitting directly west of the snowy peaks, outlined in cyan.
You’ll notice the level brackets overlap quite a bit with the Albaneve Summits. That’s totally fine—treat this route as a suggested flow rather than a strict checklist you must finish before crossing borders.
Where to head next: Cinder’s Cradle, up north.
7. Cinder’s Cradle — Around Levels 45–50
Location: The northernmost edge of the entire world map, outlined in pink.
Added in the 1.0 release, this zone serves as the endgame stomping ground on your map. Bring your absolute best gear and follow along with your active quests to stay on track.
Levels 45–50 are just a solid target range to aim for here.
When Should You Move to the Next Region?
Raw character level isn’t everything; pushing ahead too soon can easily get you wiped out. Run through this quick checklist before crossing into a higher-tier zone:
- Can you beat down standard mobs in your current area without burning all your potions?
- Is your weapon and armor setup upgraded to current standards?
- Are your food buffs active and healing items stocked up?
- Is your Flame Level high enough to survive the local Shroud?
- Do you have any lingering side quests that offer valuable gear or XP boosts?
The Entire Route at a Glance
Springlands → Revelwood → Nomad Highlands → Kindlewastes → Albaneve Summits → Veilwater Basin → Cinder’s Cradle
Take a detour to Blackmire while you’re working through Revelwood, roughly around levels 13–15.

Take your time setting up cozy bases, gather your craftspeople, and remember that an adjacent border can pack a nasty spike in difficulty, so stash your gear before wandering blindly into a new valley.
