If you’re working through the Anomalous Investigation in Fisch, you’ll eventually be asked to track down six Broken Stars scattered across different islands. The quest itself doesn’t make the locations particularly obvious, so finding all six can turn into a lot of unnecessary sailing.
The good news is that you can collect them one by one without much trouble once you know where to look. Here’s the route for all 6/6 Broken Star locations.
Start the Anomalous Investigation
Before searching for the Broken Stars, travel to Northern Expedition and make your way to Boro.
Once you’re there, look for the small shack. An NPC is inside, and speaking with him will start the investigation and give you the objective to gather six Broken Stars.
After accepting the quest, you can begin visiting the locations below.
Broken Star #1 — Moosewood
Your first stop is Moosewood.
Head toward the lighthouse and make your way up to the area around it. The Broken Star is sitting near the lighthouse, making this one of the easier stars to collect.
Once you’ve grabbed it, move on to Musgrove.
Broken Star #2 — Musgrove
Travel to Musgrove Swamp and look around the guard tower.
The second Broken Star is located close to the tower, so you shouldn’t need to search the entire island. Head toward the structure and check the nearby area to pick it up.
Broken Star #3 — Ancient Isle
Next, head to Ancient Isle.
You need to reach the top of the island. Once you’re up there, go around to the back and look beside the tent.
The third Broken Star is tucked along the side of the tent.
Broken Star #4 — Terrapin
For the fourth star, sail over to Terrapin.
Rather than searching around the main part of the island, head toward the back side of Terrapin. The Broken Star can be found there.
Grab it and you’ll have four out of the six required stars.
Broken Star #5 — Roslit Volcano
Your fifth destination is Roslit Volcano.
Make your way toward the top of the volcano. Once you reach the upper section, look around the area for the Broken Star.
It’s positioned near the top, so you don’t need to explore the lower parts of the volcano once you’ve reached the correct area.
Broken Star #6 — Snowcap
The final Broken Star is on Snowcap Island.
Head to the top of Snowcap and check the back area. You’ll find the sixth star sitting beside an icicle.
Collect it and you’ll have all six Broken Stars needed for the investigation.

How to Finish the Anomalous Investigation
Once you’ve collected all 6 Broken Stars, you have completed the main collection requirement for the Anomalous Investigation.
So the easiest order is:
Boro → Moosewood → Musgrove → Ancient Isle → Terrapin → Roslit Volcano → Snowcap
You don’t need to spend time searching every corner of these islands. Most of the stars are placed near recognizable landmarks, so using the locations above should make the investigation much quicker.
With all six Broken Stars collected, head back and finish the investigation to progress the quest.
