Starting out in Re: Trials can be confusing because there are several different progression systems to work through. You have weapons to collect, bosses to farm, leveling-related weapons to unlock, and Authorities that require much longer challenges.
I recommend focusing on your basic weapon progression first rather than immediately trying to unlock every Authority. Some Authorities require hundreds of kills or hours of playtime, so you can work on those requirements naturally while leveling and farming weapons.
This beginner guide combines the weapon and Authority progression from the latest Re: Trials updates, giving you a simple path to follow if you’re starting from scratch.
Roblox Re: Trials Beginner Guide – Trello, Weapons & Authority
When you first start playing, I’d focus on these areas:
- Level up your character.
- Collect the leveling weapons.
- Farm bosses for their weapon drops.
- Buy the available weapons when you have enough resources.
- Start working on easier Authorities.
- Save the long-term Authorities for later.
- Complete the remaining special weapons and Authorities as you progress.
You don’t need to unlock everything immediately. A lot of the Authority requirements are designed to take time.
Start With Leveling Weapons
The easiest place to begin your weapon collection is the leveling progression.
The weapons mentioned in the weapon guide include:
- Cultist Cookery
- Dots Axe
- Blue Dragon
- Spirit
- Seam
- Volcanic
- Fiend Dream
- Red Has Sword
These weapons are tied to the leveling system, so you can work toward them while simply playing the game and improving your character.
I recommend prioritizing these early because you’re already going to spend time leveling anyway.
Farm Bosses for Weapons
Once you’re comfortable with the basic progression, start farming bosses for their drops.
Dual Cookery
Dual Cookery comes from Elsa.
Defeat Elsa and continue farming the boss until you get the weapon.
Demon Cleavers
Demon Cleavers are another boss-drop weapon mentioned in the guide.
The boss name in the original video is unclear, so I’d check the in-game boss name before farming specifically for this weapon.
Chaos
Chaos is obtained from Pandora.
If you’re already farming Pandora for other progression, this is a good opportunity to work toward the Chaos weapon at the same time.
Buy the Available Weapons
Some weapons can simply be purchased instead of being obtained through a boss.
The confirmed purchasable weapons mentioned are:
- Magics
- Colossal Great Axe
- Red Chopsticks
The video briefly mentions Scorpion but immediately corrects itself, so I wouldn’t treat Scorpion as a confirmed purchasable weapon based on this information alone.
Work Toward the Special Weapons
After getting your basic leveling and boss weapons, you can start working on the special weapons.
The list includes:
- Ice Mace
- Ice Bow
- Glacier
- Valkyrie
- Divine Has Sword
- Divine Protection
- Buying Glory V2
Some of these were tied to a limited-time paid event, while Buying Glory V2 is an evolution of Buying Glory.
Because event weapons may not always be available, I’d prioritize them whenever their event or purchase option is active.
Start Unlocking Authorities
Once you’ve made some progress with weapons and leveling, start working on Authorities.
There are several Authorities in Re: Trials, and their requirements range from simple farming tasks to extremely long playtime challenges.
Here’s the progression from the guide.
Wrath Authority
The first Authority is Wrath, obtained from Sirius.
To unlock it, you need to kill 120 NPCs.
This is one of the Authorities I’d recommend going for early because the requirement is relatively straightforward.
Simply focus on killing NPCs until you reach the required number.
Lust Authority
The next Authority is Lust.
For this one, you’ll need a friend.
You need to stay in a server together with your friend for 5 hours.
The requirement is mostly about server time, so it’s something you can work on while doing other activities.
If you’re playing with a friend regularly, you can complete this requirement without making it your only goal.
Melancholy Authority
The next Authority is Melancholy.
The transcript doesn’t clearly explain the exact requirement, only stating that you need to work a lot for it.
Because the specific requirement isn’t clear from the source, I wouldn’t invent a number here. Check the Authority’s in-game description for the exact requirement.
Pandora’s Authority
Pandora’s Authority requires you to reach 230 [unclear requirement] according to the video transcript.
The exact wording of the requirement is unclear in the recording, so this is another one where I’d recommend checking the in-game Authority description before starting the grind.
Regular’s Authority
Regular’s Authority requires you to manually die 2,650 times.
Yes, this one is a serious grind.
If you’re going for it, don’t try to do all 2,650 deaths in one sitting. Work on it gradually while you’re playing and completing other objectives.
Gluttony’s Authority
For Gluttony, you need to complete the required kill objective 300 times.
The transcript repeats “300” and doesn’t make the exact target clear, but the requirement is presented as a 300-kill grind.
This is another Authority that can be worked on alongside normal farming.
Pride’s Authority
Pride’s Authority requires you to be in the top three in a server alongside another player for around 5 hours.
This is another Authority where having another player available makes the requirement much easier to manage.
You need to maintain the required ranking during the specified time.
Sloth’s Authority
Sloth’s Authority is based on total playtime.
You need 100 hours in-game.
This is one of the Authorities I would leave until later.
There’s no reason to sit around trying to force this requirement early. Just keep playing Re: Trials, leveling, farming weapons, and completing other content. Your playtime will gradually build toward the requirement.
Envy Authority
Envy is the final Authority mentioned in the guide, and it has the biggest requirement.
You need:
- Every other Authority
- 500 kills of Satella
This means Envy should be treated as a final progression goal rather than something to attempt at the beginning.
You’ll already need to complete the other Authorities first, so there’s no reason to specifically focus on Envy until your collection is almost complete.
Best Beginner Order
If you’re completely new to Re: Trials, I’d recommend following this order.
Step 1: Level Up
Start by progressing through the leveling system.
While leveling, work toward the leveling weapons:
- Cultist Cookery
- Dots Axe
- Blue Dragon
- Spirit
- Seam
- Volcanic
- Fiend Dream
- Red Has Sword
Step 2: Farm Easy Bosses
After getting comfortable with the game, begin farming bosses.
Start working toward weapons such as:
- Dual Cookery from Elsa
- Demon Cleavers
- Chaos from Pandora
This also gives you a reason to keep improving your character.
Step 3: Buy Weapons
Once you have enough resources, pick up the purchasable weapons:
- Magics
- Colossal Great Axe
- Red Chopsticks
Don’t worry about buying everything immediately if you’re still struggling with basic progression.
Step 4: Start Easy Authorities
I’d begin with Wrath because its requirement is simply 120 NPC kills.
After that, you can start working toward the longer objectives such as Lust, Pride, and Gluttony.
Step 5: Work on Long-Term Requirements
As your playtime increases, work toward:
- 2,650 manual deaths for Regular
- 100 hours for Sloth
- 5 hours with a friend for Lust
- 5-hour top-three requirement for Pride
You can spread these requirements out rather than grinding them all at once.
Step 6: Finish the Collection
Once you have most of the weapons and Authorities, start completing the special progression.
Work toward the limited-time weapons when available and evolve Buying Glory into Buying Glory V2 if you have the required progression.
Finally, complete the remaining Authorities and work toward Envy.
The easiest way to approach Re: Trials is to treat the game as a long-term progression rather than trying to unlock everything immediately. Level up first, collect the weapons available through normal progression, then move into boss farming and Authorities.
I’d especially recommend working on the easier Authority requirements while you’re already playing. The 100-hour Sloth requirement, 2,650 deaths for Regular, and Envy’s requirement for every other Authority are much better saved for later.
Once your weapons and character are stronger, you can return to the harder Authority requirements and finish off the collection.
