Heian [TESTING] Beginner’s Guide – Progression, Bosses, Weapons

The long wait is over—Heian [TESTING] is finally back on Roblox. This Jujutsu Kaisen-inspired game has reopened with a massive update, adding new bosses, events, weapons, and an overhauled progression system. If you’re just jumping in (or returning after the shutdown), here’s everything you need to know to get started the right way.

Heian [TESTING] Beginner’s Guide – Progression, Bosses, Weapons

Progression & Grades

Your character’s Grade defines your overall power level. You start at Grade 4 and work your way up by completing missions, defeating enemies, and unlocking new skills.

  • Grade 4 → Special Grade progression takes time and requires grinding missions, killing bosses, and mastering mechanics like Black Flash.
  • The Skill Tree is tied to your stats (Agility, Strength, Vitality, Curse Energy, and Curse Output). Each unlocks unique abilities that define your playstyle.
  • Focus early on Agility for movement or Strength for damage if you’re unsure where to start.

2. Missions – Your First Step

  • Missions are the core way to earn XP and climb grades.
  • Look for NPC quest-givers around the map. They’ll send you to fight assassins, bandits, or other mobs.
  • Completing missions earns XP and loot boxes.
  • Tip: Partying with friends makes missions much safer since NPCs can overwhelm solo players.

3. New Bosses & Events

The update added several bosses and world events to keep progression exciting:

  • 2 World Bosses – Large-scale fights that require groups of players.
  • 1 New Mini-Boss – A smaller but still dangerous fight for mid-level players.
  • 1 Event Boss + 3 World Events – These trigger every hour in real time and reward strong gear and XP.

Bosses aren’t just for XP—they’re often tied to unlocking new techniques (like Sky Manipulation) or rare crafting items.

4. Weapons & Combat Styles

Heian [TESTING] now features three major weapon classes, each with unique drops from bosses and events:

  • Light WeaponsFestering Lifeblade
  • Medium WeaponsDragon Claw
  • Heavy WeaponsBlazing Veil (Vial)

Each weapon class changes how you approach combat, so experiment to find what fits your playstyle.

Combat Mechanics to Learn Early:

  • Black Flash: Triggered when you land a perfectly timed attack without taking damage, greatly boosting your damage output.
  • Sky Jumps & Down Slams: Master movement combos (slide + jump + space double-tap) to outmaneuver enemies.

5. Factions, Guilds & Transformations

This update also introduced several progression layers beyond just grades:

  • Curse Faction – Align with curses for special abilities.
  • Guild System – Form or join a guild through NPCs around the map to coordinate raids and missions.
  • Hybrid Transformation – A powerful new transformation path for advanced players.

6. Tips for New Players

  • Start with Missions: Don’t rush bosses until you’ve built up stats and unlocked a few core moves.
  • Balance Your Build: Don’t dump everything into one stat—Agility + Vitality early gives survivability and mobility.
  • Join a Guild: You’ll need help for bosses and world events.
  • Learn Black Flash Timing: Mastering this mechanic early separates average players from strong fighters.
  • Watch Your Healing: Some enemies can heal mid-fight—pressure them instead of giving them breathing room.

Heian [TESTING] has come back stronger than ever, with an expanded progression system, new bosses, and unique weapons that keep combat exciting. For beginners, the key is to start slow—grind missions, unlock your skill tree, and then step into boss fights and world events once you’re comfortable. From there, the road to Special Grade and powerful curse techniques is wide open.
