Deep Rock Galactic Survivor 1.0 Achievement Guide (2025)

Play with the goal for each achievement in mind. Some achievements are easiest in low hazard with lots of time; others require hazard 5 to spawn certain bosses or variants.

Use class mastery and meta-upgrades to speed progress. If an achievement requires repeated actions (e.g., mining blocks), pick a class and meta upgrades that multiply speed for that task.

Some achievements (like weapon mastery or mastery dives) can take long. Focus one session on a handful of related achievements (e.g., all Gunner-related ones) to reduce setup time.

Keep a notepad of which achievements you complete after each dive so you don’t chase the same few that are rare drops (Golden lootbug, specific boss variants).

If an achievement is “complete a dive at Hazard 5,” you can maximize success by carrying a clear role (boss-killer or crowd-clearer) and ensuring your loadout matches the map. Bring cryo or knockback options for personal space and a boss-focused weapon for final fights.

Deep Rock Galactic Survivor 1.0 Achievement Guide (2025)

Class Achievements — how to unlock & tips

Scout

Run for the hills / Unlock the Scout — Scout is unlocked by default.

The journey begins — Complete a dive with the Classic Scout (stage 5 boss kill). Play normally; Classic loadout is the default.

Grow fat from strength — Have 1000 max HP as Classic Scout. Stack HP artifacts and upgrades. Use healing crystals and the Max HP artifact bonuses; farming Meta upgrades (Max HP progression) helps.

Adventure awaits (Recon) — Unlock and complete a dive as Recon (Scout rank 9 unlocks Recon). Play consistently; Recon emphasizes ranged kit.

You’re locked in here with me — Survive 1 stage for 10 minutes as Recon. Pick a long, open stage and kite while using area control—Cryo or turret combos help.

Measure twice, shoot once (Sharpshooter) — Complete a dive with Sharpshooter (Scout rank 18 unlock). Sharpshooter wants high crit and boss focus.

BOOM! Headshot — Have +250% Crit Chance with the Sharpshooter in a single dive. Stack crit artifacts and crit upgrades. Bring weapons that scale with crit stacks and avoid weapons that spread crit too thin.

Gunner

Lock and load — Unlock the Gunner at player rank 3.

10,000 rounds per minute / Weapons Specialist — Complete a dive with Weapons Specialist (unlocks with Gunner) and push high projectile counts—BRT7, Lead Storm, or similar works.

Lord of war — Fire 250,000 bullets as Weapons Specialist in a single dive. This is easiest with sustained-fire weapons and mastery stages (double-length mastery stages are helpful). Focus on fire rate and ammo sustain; weapon specialist perks that keep guns alive are ideal.

Tough as nails / Juggernaut — Unlock Juggernaut at Gunner rank 9 and complete a dive. Juggle armor and tanking roles; bring turrets and armor boosters.

Know no fear — Have 300 armor as Juggernaut. Stack armor artifacts and meta upgrades, and use any armor-giving items; avoid taking damage to prevent armor loss.

Ka-boom! / Heavy Gunner — Unlock Heavy Gunner at Gunner rank 18 and complete a stage-5 dive. Heavy Gunner is turret and explosive focused.

Walk without rhythm — Deploy 30 seismic repulsor turrets at the same time. This requires the right loadout and timing. If turrets stack duration, buy multiple turrets, place them at choke points, and use meta upgrades that increase turret count or lifetime.

Engineer

Enjoy a relaxing stroll / Unlock the Engineer — Reach player rank 5 to unlock.

I solve problems / Maintenance Worker — Complete a dive as Maintenance Worker (unlocked at player rank 5).

Unreasonable uptime — Have a 60 second lifetime on one weapon with Maintenance Worker. Use the Maintenance Worker’s weapon durability or uptime upgrades, or the engineer’s passive that benefits turret/weapon lifetime.

Brainstorming / Tinkerer — Complete a dive as Tinkerer at Engineer rank 9.

Fully overclocked — Get 5 weapons to level 18 as the Tinkerer. This requires a session focused on weapon XP: take weapon XP-boosting meta upgrades, play mastery stages for weapons, and level weapons during dives.

A whiff of brimstone / Demolitionist — Unlock at Engineer rank 18; aim for explosion-radius upgrades and explosive overclocks.

Going nuclear — Have +250% explosion radius as the Demolitionist. Stack explosion radius artifacts and meta upgrades, and choose grenade/rocket overclocks that multiply radius.

Driller

Dig down deep / Unlock the Driller — Reach player rank 7.

Diggy diggy hole / Foreman — Complete a dive as Foreman (unlocked with Driller). Focus on mining speed upgrades and movement; use Foreman perks.

With fire and blood — Deal 10,000,000 fire damage as the Foreman in a single dive. Build heavy fire DPS (flamethrower, incendiary grenade) with fire artifacts and stacks.

Chemical burns / Interrogator — Unlock Interrogator at Driller rank 9 and apply condition stacks heavily; corrosive or poison builds help.

Elemental avatar — Apply 5,000,000 condition stacks as the Interrogator in a single dive. This is a grind: equip lasting weapons and focus on status sources and artifacts that boost condition application.

And my axe / Strong Armed — Unlock Strong Armed at Driller rank 18.

Fastest hands on the rig — Have +500% reload speed as Strong Armed. Stack reload upgrades and class artifacts that increase reload speed; choose weapons that scale well off reload.

3) Stat achievements (how to reach them quickly)

  • Delicious BLT (Reach 300 Max HP) — Acquire Max HP artifacts and stack common → legendary HP upgrades. Best attempted in longer mastery runs where you can funnel meta upgrade points to HP.
  • It’s got electrolytes (50% move speed) — Move speed artifacts and class perks; combine movement upgrades and dodge procs if possible.
  • Swift guns for swift hands (75% reload speed) — Combine reload speed meta upgrades and artifacts. Choose weapons that benefit from reload boosts to make it feel impactful.
  • Squint and squeeze the trigger (75% crit chance) — Invest in crit chance artifacts and weapons or perks that directly increase crit. Focus on a single weapon to concentrate crit stacking.
  • Why so Salty? (50 armor) — Armor artifacts and meta upgrades. Play tankier classes or runs and avoid damage to preserve armor.
  • Book of Experience (Reach level 50 during a dive) — This is level gains during run. Farm XP boost meta upgrades and play long mastery stages. XP-Scanner and artifact reroll meta help.
  • Feeling lucky punk? (Get 5 luck upgrades in one dive) — Luck upgrades are likely shop rerolls / drops; save shop currency to buy or reroll until you get luck upgrades. The guide suggests legendary rarity for luck upgrades; use rerolls efficiently.

4) Gear achievements

  • Truly epic / Legendary! — Equip epic or legendary items. These are unlocked via drops, shops, and artifact progression.
  • Custom rig / Professional setup / Expertly tuned / Fabled fittings — Equip 6 items of the specified rarities. Focus on farming higher rarity gear by doing hazard 5 mastery runs and opening reward pools.
  • We’re keeping this one / Master artificer — Fully upgrade a piece of gear (or a legendary piece). Save upgrade currency and prioritize one item to max out.
  • Mind over matter / Just like the old days — Complete Hazard 4/5 dives without any gear equipped. These are hardcore runs; use a strong weapon carry (M1000 or similar) and take class/meta upgrades that reduce reliance on gear (HP, crit, etc.). No-gear runs are much easier in lower hazard for practice, but the achievements explicitly require hazard 4/5 respectively.

5) Biome mastery achievements

Each biome (Crystalline Cavern, Magma Core, Hollow Bough, Salt Pits, Azure Weald) has three achievements: Win a Hazard 5 dive, Complete a Mastery dive, and Complete a Mastery dive at Hazard 5.

  • Strategy: choose the biome you feel strongest in and grind mastery runs. Mastery dives give extra stages per biome and more loot XP. If you’re going for the trio of achievements in one biome, stack bonuses that improve survivability and damage, and bring specific counters (fire resistance for magma, etc.).
  • Mastery tips:
    • Crystalline Cavern: watch for crystal spawns and vertical fights. Movement + ranged control help.
    • Magma Core: avoid molten hazards. Bring fire resist and ranged burst for riskier encounters.
    • Hollow Bough: lots of choke points and swarms; crowd control and area weaponry shine.
    • Salt Pits: mining-friendly; pick Driller builds or Foreman for mining achievements.
    • Azure Weald: open fields with tricky elite spawns; prioritise boss-killing tools.

6) Mission-type achievements

  • Anomaly / Vanguard / Lethal Contract / Escort Duty — Complete dives at specified hazard levels. The “Vanguard” and “Anomaly” achievements simply require completing the mission types at indicated hazard levels. For Escort Duty achievements (e.g., fully fuel B0b-33, drill through a lootbug with B0b-33, etc.), follow mission objectives carefully: fully clear area, mine required amounts, and wait for mission meters to fill. For “drill through a lootbug,” you must position B0b-33 correctly and activate the drill.
  • Employee of the Day/Month/Year — Repeated completion of Lethal Contract dives (1, 5, 10). These are cumulative—complete the dives whenever you see lethal contract missions.

7) Creature & boss achievements

  • Got bait? Kill 3 Huuli Hoarders in one dive — Huuli Hoarders spawn during certain events (class mod mastery mentions they spawn once per stage). Stack routes to farm them on mastery stages; bring mobility and area clear.
  • This hurts me more / Kill all lootbugs in a single dive — Lootbugs can be tricky to line up; clear the map of other enemies and use AOE to hit all lootbugs.
  • The dwarf with the golden bug — Kill a golden lootbug. Golden lootbugs are rare; simply keep playing, increase drop chance via luck meta/upgrades, and clear lootbug spawns when they appear.
  • Close call / Still only counts as one! — Dreadnought boss achievements: kill with <30 HP left, or kill without taking damage. Prep for these with heavy burst, careful dodging, or use the supply pod to drop a Q’ronar Shellback kill (for Bullseye). For “no damage” kills, use crowd-control and safe positioning during stages leading to boss.
  • Denied — Kill Dreadnought Twins before healing. When twins spawn, balance your damage between them so neither heals the other; coordinate fire or use weapons that can damage both.

8) Resources & Artifacts

  • Get that Midas touch / Au-fully rich — Collect 250 / 2000 Gold. Mine ore veins, kill lootbugs, and use the Gold Scanner artifact once unlocked. The Gold Scanner appears after the first achievement. Put it in the drop pod to increase gold from regular rocks.
  • Gotta stay Nitrated / Sprinkle of Nitra — Similar to gold; mine and equip the Nitra Scanner (granted after the first Nitra achievement).
  • They belong in a museum / Deep scan — Complete a dive without artifacts (don’t call drop pod). For Deep Scan, have 5 scanner artifacts in a single dive. Equip multiple scanners by using drop pod loot and artifact reroll meta upgrades to get scanners faster.

9) Environment & Misc achievements

  • Jetty boots / They fly now? — Land on 200 rocks in one dive / Bounce 100 times in one stage using jump pads. Jet pads are visible on the minimap. Use stages with many jump pads, and in a portable session focus on repeating jumps early to rack these up.
  • Axe in face! — Destroy all rocks in a main mission stage. Driller Foreman with mastery mining upgrades is best; equip mining speed artifacts and aim to clear every rock field in stage 5.
  • Early access / Mission Possible — Enter the drop pod with >30 seconds remaining or land on drop pod ramp 3 times using jet boots. These are timing-based—call the pod or use jet boots to land on the ramp.

10) Weapon / Overclock / Mastery achievements

  • Reach level 18 with weapon X / Mastery dive / True Mastery — These are per-weapon: level to 18, then finish a weapon mastery dive, and finally a hazard-5 mastery for True Mastery. Weapon XP comes primarily from kills and stage length—dedicate sessions to leveling one weapon at a time, using weapon XP boosts and mastery stages for extra time and rewards.
  • Pro side wobble compensator / Underclocked / Eye of the storm — Reach 10 overclocks in 1 dive; complete a dive with no overclocks; complete a dive with unstable overclocks on both the Nuk17 and BRT7. Overclock achievements can be fiddly—choose lower hazard for peaceful overclock collection or higher hazard if you need weapon XP at the same time.
  • Salvage operation / They see ’em rollin’, they hatin’ / All sides / This is brilliant, but I like this — Salvage 10 overclocks in a dive; have 3 ‘Tank Tracks’ overclocks in a dive; 3 ‘Sidearm’ overclocks; have 2 ‘The Favourite’ overclocks. The trick: focus a dive on picking up overclocks (salvage them from pickups) and plan which overclocks to accept. Use meta upgrades that increase overclock availability when possible.

11) Types / Element sets

These achievements require dive completion while equipping full sets of certain tags (Cold, Fire, Acid, Area, Drone, Explosive, Heavy, Kinetic, Lasting, Light, Medium, Plasma, Precise, Projectile, Spray, Throwable, Turret, Beam, Construct, Electrical, etc.)

  • Strategy: choose a class that has many weapons in the target tag set. For example, Scouts have many cold weapons for the Cold set. Equip four weapons that match the tag, take elemental-specific overclocks as needed, and complete the dive. Mastery stages can help because you have more time to ensure full-dive completion.
  • Note: some tags require unlocking particular weapons by rank (check unlock requirements) so plan which class and rank you use.

12) Endurance achievements (grind ones)

  • Dives I–V — Complete 5 / 25 / 50 / 75 / 100 dives. Play casually; these accumulate.
  • Kills I–V — Kill milestone enemies (50k, 100k, 250k, 500k, 1M). These are long-term; weapon specialist loadouts with long stages maximize kills per dive.
  • Damage I–V — Deal cumulative damage milestones. Play as boss/CP-focused carry builds to rack damage.
  • Mine I–V — Mine block totals. Driller or Foreman builds and mining-heavy stages are fastest.
  • Run I–V — Step counts; this accumulates naturally over time while playing.

13) The especially tricky achievements — step-by-step strategies

Kill Dreadnought without taking any damage (Still only counts as one!)

  1. Choose a class/build that can reliably DPS from distance (M1000 sharpshooter or high piercing platform).
  2. Bring plenty of knockback and crowd control to stop adds from swarming you. Cryo grenade or boomstick works well.
  3. Enter the boss arena, clear adds thoroughly, and kite the dreadnought at long range. Use the supply pod or turrets for consistent DPS while you dodge.
  4. Stay behind cover and only commit to shots that can be dodged quickly. If possible, have a teammate act as bait (if playing co-op). Solo runs are easier with high single-target DPS.

Kill Dreadnought with <30 HP left

  • This is basically a “clutch” achievement. Stall the fight with crowd control and then finish the dreadnought with a high-damage burst to leave it at <30 HP. Practice the timing on normal dreadnought fights to feel comfortable with burst windows.

Get 5 luck upgrades in one dive

  1. Save gold and rerolls to appear in the shop.
  2. Use drop pods and reroll meta upgrades to increase upgrade availability.
  3. If trades exist for luck artifacts/upgrades, focus purchases or rerolls at shops early in the dive.

Fire 250,000 bullets in a single dive

  1. Pick Weapons Specialist and an automatic sustained-fire weapon (Lead Storm, BRT7, Zhukov in certain configs).
  2. Equip reload speed & fire rate artifacts/meta upgrades.
  3. Use mastery stages (doubles stage counts) to get time and more enemies to shoot.
  4. Don’t waste ammo on useless targets—aim at waves and use turrets to occupy mobs while you keep firing.

Complete a dive with all weapons at level 1 (Underpromise, overdeliver)

  • The reverse of weapon grinding: avoid weapon XP pickups and avoid using weapons you want to stay level 1. That usually means choosing weapons you won’t level that run and skipping weapon upgrades in shops and level-ups.

Kill 15,000 aliens while standing still (Pillar of Society)

  • Equip high-AOE automated or direction-locked weapons that do well without you moving (e.g., turrets, stationary beam weapons). Play on mastery stages with lots of enemies, and grind until the counter ticks.

Salvage 10 overclocks in a single dive

  • Look for overclock drops in the stage and prioritize picking them up. Use the artifact reroll and overclock-increasing meta upgrades if available.

14) Example loadouts & notes for popular achievements

Best “carry” boss-killing loadout (M1000 style)

  • Primary: M1000 Classic with Thick Boy or Sawn Off depending on range needs.
  • Secondary: Jury-Rigged Boomstick or Zhukov for personal space.
  • Grenade: Cryo Grenade or Incendiary based on enemy types.
  • Items: Gold/Nitra scanners (for resource farming), armor or crit artifacts depending on the target.
  • Meta priorities: Fire rate/Reload for Sawn Off; Bigger Mags for Thick Boy.

Best “farm overclocks & kills” loadout

  • Primary: Sustained fire weapon (Lead Storm Powered Minigun or BRT7).
  • Secondary: Zhukov NUK17 for area coverage or Stubby SMG for close defense.
  • Grenade: Cluster or High Explosive cluster for area clear.
  • Items: Weapons XP boosting artifacts and scanners.
  • Meta priorities: Fire rate, weapon XP, and drop chance meta.
