Armed Conquest is Mecharashi’s most demanding end-game content, designed to push your unit compositions, pilot rosters, and tactical adaptability to the limit. It’s a high-risk, high-reward battlefield that locks pilots between battles, forcing you to build deep rather than just strong.
With the release of Patch 1.2.1, the first full section—Trapped Beast—has been unlocked. It introduces three intense boss-style encounters against Castilla, Mann, and Crotti, each with their own unique mechanics and bounty challenges.
Rules of Armed Conquest Mode
Before diving into the battles, it’s crucial to understand how this mode works:
Locked Pilots System:
Once a pilot is used to complete a battle, they become locked and unavailable for the rest of the section—until you complete all three fights. Use your best pilots strategically.
Bounty Challenges:
Each battle offers 3 bounties that act like elite battle achievements. Completing a bounty grants permanent rewards, and you don’t need to redo them once they’re done.
Replaying Battles:
You can replay a battle to swap pilot usage. For example, clear bounties with your best team, then replay with alternates to unlock your best pilots for later fights.
Hire System:
You can use hired mercenary pilots, but they follow the same locking rules as your own pilots.
Weekly Reset:
Every Monday, all battles reset and you can claim rewards again, even if you don’t replay the fights.
Trapped Beast Section: All Battles
1. Avenging Guardian – Castilla
Battlefield Type: Narrow chokepoint
Main Threat: Area denial rockets + hit-kill MG burst
Adds: 2 Snipers, 1 Hook Fighter, 1 Raider, 1 Railgun user
Recommended Units: Snipers, Shock appliers, Shield tanks
Bounties:
- Quick Resolution – Win in 6 turns
- Rocket Evasion – Castilla’s rocket must hit fewer than 3 units
- Safe and Sound – All team members must survive
Mechanics Breakdown:
- Massive Gunfire (6 AP): 6x damage burst with [Timidity I], easily one-shots most STs.
- Polyenergy Bombardment (Rocket): 3×3 AoE + 1AP per target hit.
- Fully Armed (50% HP): Restores all parts (except body), gains +30% HIT and 6AP.
- Shrapnel Offset: Nullifies support damage below 70.
Tactics:
- Positioning: Never stack units—he prioritizes high-value AoE rocket shots.
- Rocket Baiting: At low AP, he always rockets. Lure it into open space.
- Anti-MG: MG/SG support is useless due to damage nullification. Focus sniper + fighter body hits.
- Tank Solution: Bring a Guardian pilot with the [Guts] skill. Ana is ideal if you can trigger it twice.
- Quick Finishers: Winston or Eileen with shock/fire field combos help trigger burn/shock for faster kills.
- Add Control: Snipers on flanks will mess you up fast—prioritize them early.
2. Drink Till Doomsday – Mann
Battlefield Type: Open space
Main Threat: AP denial, massive AoE, counterattack loop
Adds: Snipers, Missile Users, Hook Fighters, Raiders (Stealth)
Recommended Units: Guts-based bait tank, long-range snipers, support mechanics
Bounties:
- Quick Resolution – Win in 6 turns
- Stop Moving Again – Mann must not trigger [Re-ATK]
- Safe and Sound – All team members must survive
Mechanics Breakdown:
- Call of Off-field Support: 10K damage 5×5 AoE, disables guard and -2 movement.
- Destructive Slam: Ignores large shield, targets weakest part.
- Attack Ban (SG): Disables all attacks for 1 turn.
- Chain Reaction: If 2+ enemies are adjacent, triggers Re-ATK (attack again).
Tactics:
- Control with Bait: Use a [Guts] tank like Catharine to bait rockets and SG. Position her diagonally to Mann.
- No Adjacency: Never end turns with 2 units beside Mann or he’ll double attack and break your bounty.
- AP Management: Pair Catharine with Gareth (or another mechanic) to feed her AP with Renovate and Full Maintenance.
- Long-Range DPS: Naomi missiles, William support fire, and snipers targeting the body are essential.
- Backup Waves: Eliminate backup snipers fast to prevent Catharine from chasing them. Hook fighters will punish poor placement, so avoid their range.
3. Attack of the Dead – Crotti
Battlefield Type: Encirclement scenario with creeping adds
Main Threat: Debuff stacking + AoE spam
Adds: MG enemies with high-hit link attacks and stealth units
Recommended Units: Debuff-cleansing mechanics, AoE nukers, anti-weapon specialists
Bounty:
- Safe and Sound – All your team members must survive
Mechanics Breakdown:
- Immediate Obedience: Allies inflict random debuff after 7+ hits.
- Discipline (Dual MG): 3×3 AoE x2 hits.
- Full Repair: Restores all parts, then triggers Re-ATK.
- March of the Change: Gains +5% damage/repair, -5% damage taken per debuff on enemies. Destroys parts when 2+ debuffs are present.
Tactics:
Priority Threats: On turn 1, avoid standing below MG gunners—they link with shield users for overwhelming debuff combos.
Debuff Cleanse: Use Blazer or a strong mechanic (e.g., Melissa) with part repair + debuff cleanse.
Weapon Breakers: Bring Sylvie or another part-breaking pilot to destroy enemy weapons early.
Crowd Control: Use AoE users like Eileen or field control units like Frida/Rosa to hold ground.
Focus Crotti: She has ~40K HP in the body alone. Burst damage is key. Avoid stacking debuffs on your own units—those make her exponentially more dangerous.
