The Train map in Detective Duck looks simple at first… until you realize how many tiny details are hiding in plain sight. If you’ve ever found yourself clicking everything in sight while wondering what you missed, this Detective Duck The Train Walkthrough will walk you through the entire case from the first compartment to the final suspect reveal.
Let’s solve this mystery properly.
Starting the Case
As soon as the level starts, your first goal is to break out of your locked compartment.
- Look for the red coat and click it to get the Luggage Key
- Use the key to open the luggage nearby
- Inside, you’ll find scissors
- Use the scissors on the teddy bear to reveal a Compartment Key
Now try opening the door. You’ll notice it’s missing a handle.
- Open the blue luggage
- Collect the door handle
- Attach the handle and use the key to exit the compartment
You’re officially out — but the real puzzles start now.
The Magic Word Puzzle
Inside the next area, you’ll find a strange wand and some cryptic number clues.
Use your UV Light to reveal the hidden code, then match the numbers to letters using the windows chart. When you decode everything correctly, you’ll discover the magic word:
SNOWMAN
- Equip the magic wand
- Enter SNOWMAN as the spell
- This opens a number puzzle
Solve the math and enter the correct result:
46
This gives you a new key — but you can’t grab it yet.
Getting the Luxury Room Key
Use the wire cutters to clear the cables blocking the key, then pick up the Luxury Rooms Key.
Now head into the next compartments.
The Safe Code – 4940
Inside one of the rooms, inspect the wall using your magnifying glass. You’ll spot a hidden number:
4940
Go back to the first compartment and enter 4940 into the safe. This gives you several keys, including a lockpick and a lighter.
Brewing the Acid Potion
You’ll now need to melt a locked door.
- Go into Room 3
- Use the potion ingredients inside the jar
- Light it using the lighter
- Wait until it finishes brewing
Once you have the acid potion, pour it on the locked door to open it.
Finding the SD Card
Inside the rooms, you’ll eventually locate an SD Card.
Take it back to the camera in the first area.
- Insert the SD card into the camera
- You’ll reveal the security code
9999
Use this to unlock the security door.
Identifying the Suspect
Now comes the detective work.
Use your magnifying glass to inspect objects around the train. You’ll notice:
- Dust marks on the broken lock
- Dust on a toolbox inside one of the rooms
Then look at the passengers.
One of them — Thomas — is carrying a dusty toolbox and claims he needs to “repair his car”… while riding a train.
That same dust pattern matches the lock and toolbox inside the rooms.
Thomas is your culprit.
Select him as the suspect and close the case.
The Train map is one of those levels that rewards slow, careful play. It doesn’t just test your puzzle-solving — it makes you actually think like a detective. Every smudge, every number, every small clue matters.
Once you know what to look for, solving it feels incredibly satisfying — and now you can breeze through it on future runs without missing a thing.
