Today I am going to show you one of the most important hidden systems in Vital Shell that completely changes how your shell performs in combat. This system is called Resonance, and it decides how your attacks behave, how your reload works, and what special effects your build gains. Once you understand these combos, your runs stop feeling random and start feeling fully under your control.

Vital Shell Resonance Combos Guide

The game checks your 4 equipped Gems.
What matters is the exact type count inside those four slots.

Not level.
Not rarity.
Only the type color count.

Single-Type Majority Resonances

Purification – Majority Divinity (4 Divinity)

Reloading heals you and damages a nearby enemy.
Sustain focused, mistake-forgiving, extremely safe.

Detonation – Majority Fury (4 Fury)

Attacks can explode on hit, dealing Force damage.
Pure speed clear, very aggressive.

Liquefaction – Majority Acuity (4 Acuity)

Burning damage scales from your critical chance.
Best crit-based burn build.

Transfixion – Majority Spirit (4 Spirit)

Weapon periodically fires a piercing knockback blast.
Excellent crowd control and spacing.

Compression – Majority Destruction (4 Destruction)

Killed enemies can spawn gravity wells that pull and damage nearby enemies.
Top tier for swarm control.

Dual-Type Balanced Resonances (Exact 2 + 2)

Fulguration – 2 Divinity + 2 Acuity

Critical strikes release burning rays of light.

Equilibrium – 2 Divinity + 2 Destruction

Killed enemies can leave lightwells that damage enemies and heal you while standing inside.

Radiation – 2 Divinity + 2 Fury

Reloading summons exploding orbs that orbit you.

Expurgation – 2 Divinity + 2 Spirit

Reloading fires a piercing physical wave that collects sparks.

Induration – 2 Acuity + 2 Destruction

Critical strikes freeze enemies and deal extra elemental damage.

Ignition – 2 Acuity + 2 Fury

Weapon periodically fires fireballs.

Deflagration – 2 Acuity + 2 Spirit

Critical strikes trigger a slow moving burning wave.

Fusion – 2 Destruction + 2 Fury

Killed enemies can explode, dealing more damage for each enemy caught inside.

Exsertion – 2 Destruction + 2 Spirit

Killed enemies can leave corrupt growths that deal damage and absorb sparks.

Germination – 2 Fury + 2 Spirit

Attacks can emit spores that erupt for physical damage.

Wildcard Resonance

Fragmentation – Any 4 Mixed Types (no majority / no 2+2 match)

Attacks now fire in a spread pattern.

Simple Memory Rule

3 or 4 of one color = Single-type power
2 + 2 split = Combo power
Anything else = Fragmentation
