We Escaped a Twisted Game is short, but it hides multiple endings behind player choice, timing, and one easy-to-miss boundary exploit. This guide explains every ending and the secret Boundary Breaker achievement, step by step, so you can cleanly 100% the game without trial and error.

This guide assumes co-op play, as intended by the game.

Solo Escaper Ending

This is the most brutal ending, and one many players unlock by accident.

How to Get It

Once the shotgun becomes available, use it to shoot your co-op partner.

That’s it.

The moment your friend is killed, the ending triggers immediately.

Notes

  • Both players receive the achievement
  • There is no way to undo this once fired
  • Dialogue and tone make it very clear this is an intentional “bad choice” ending

Trapped Forever Ending

This ending is entirely time-based and requires restraint.

How to Get It

  • Do not kill either player
  • Do not escape
  • Simply allow the countdown timer to fully expire

When time runs out, poison gas fills the area and both players die together, triggering this ending.

Notes

  • No interaction is required once the timer starts
  • This ending is easy to miss if you rush solutions every run

Double Freedom Ending (Best Ending)

This is the intended “successful” ending and requires coordination.

How to Get It

Once the final countdown begins:

  1. One player grabs the shotgun
  2. That player returns upstairs to the second floor
  3. Go down the hallway behind the screen
  4. You will find a table holding:
    • A screwdriver
    • A wrench
  5. Place the shotgun on the stand on the table

After placing it, a key appears inside the shotgun stand.

  1. Take the key
  2. Unlock the front door
  3. Escape together

Notes

  • Both players survive
  • This is the only ending where no one dies
  • Requires awareness of the upstairs hallway, which is easy to overlook under time pressure

Boundary Breaker Achievement (Secret)

This achievement is not tied to the normal ending flow and can be completed immediately at the start of the game.

How to Get It

  1. At the very beginning, head to the shed on the right side of the gate
  2. Inside the shed, you’ll also find the answer to the gate puzzle (useful later)
  3. Exit the shed and sprint toward the broken branches
  4. Climb onto the branches
  5. Move through the bushes leading up to the fence
  6. Jump over the fence

The moment both players cross the boundary:

  • The Boundary Breaker achievement unlocks
  • The game automatically restarts

Notes

  • This does not lock you out of any endings
  • You can safely do this first, then replay normally
  • Clearly an intentional dev secret rather than a bug
