If you’ve been driving around Rensselaer County during the Lunar New Year event, you already know how this goes. You grab one artifact, feel confident, then suddenly you’re circling the same street wondering how you missed something sitting on a rock five feet away.
I ended up running the entire route start-to-finish, and honestly the biggest mistake people make isn’t missing items — it’s driving in the wrong order. Once you follow a clean path, collecting all 30 artifacts becomes way easier and way faster.
Here’s the full walkthrough in a natural route so you don’t waste time zig-zagging across the map.
Starting Area — Dealership Cluster
Most players naturally start here since the first few artifacts are packed close together.
Right outside the dealership you’ll immediately see the Gong — that’s artifact #1 and basically your starting point.
From there, head toward the nearby roadside area to grab the Teacup, then drive around the trees to pick up the Lucky Cat sitting near a trunk.
A short drive deeper into the same neighborhood leads you to the Bottle Gourd, followed by the Tile just a little further ahead.
Climb the nearby structure to grab the Steam Dumpling, then move toward the road exit where you’ll find the Jade Ornament.
Right near the Quick Fix building, you’ll collect two more in quick succession — one sitting outside and another tucked just inside the area.
This opening stretch alone nets you roughly a third of the artifacts with barely any driving.
End-of-Road Route — Fireworks District
Follow the main road straight to the end, and you’ll hit another dense group.
At the road’s end sits the Red Envelope, then a right turn leads to the Firecrackers.
Entering the junkyard area gets you the Lotus Flower, and nearby buildings hold another hidden artifact on a rooftop.
Keep moving through the same district and you’ll spot a firework-style collectible on the roadside, followed by the Mandarin Orange resting on top of a box.
This whole zone feels slow to navigate, mostly because of tight turns — but the artifacts themselves are easy to spot once you know where to look.
Residential Gates — Hidden Section
This is where most players get confused.
Drive back toward the dealership area, then take a right into the housing district with gated entrances.
Inside the first gate you’ll find the Fortune Cookie, and deeper in the area sits another artifact on elevated terrain.
Nearby rocks hold the Folding Fan, and just outside this neighborhood you can collect the Fortune Scroll near the Fresh Harvest building.
This section is tricky mainly because of the gates — not because the artifacts are hard to find.
Market & Restaurant Loop
From the residential area, follow the road toward commercial buildings.
You’ll find the Teapot sitting near a roadside structure, followed by the Bull Ornament perched on a rock.
Turning right leads to the Red Candle, then another short drive reveals the Gold Ingot.
Entering a drive-thru area gives you another collectible, and right after exiting you’ll find another one almost immediately nearby.
Finally, head toward the restaurant strip where the Steamer Basket is sitting outside.
This whole portion feels like a rapid-fire collection run — everything is close together.
Hotel Route — Final City Picks
After leaving the restaurant area, head toward the hotel district.
Near the hotel you’ll find the Umbrella, one of the last city-zone collectibles before the long drive.
At this point you should be nearing the end — and the remaining artifacts are more spread out.
GPS Route — Crispy Coop Area
This is the only section where using GPS really helps.
Set your destination to Crispy Coop, follow the road for about 0.9 miles, and you’ll find the Festival Mask near the destination.
From there, take a nearby right turn and drive between the buildings to grab the final artifact, completing the full set.
Rewards for Collecting All 30
Once you grab every artifact, the event immediately rewards you with:
10,000 cash
A special Lunar New Year edition vehicle
And honestly, that car alone is worth the full collection run.
The One Thing That Actually Saves Time
The biggest time saver isn’t driving faster — it’s simply not backtracking.
Most players lose time because they miss the housing gate section and have to return later. If you hit that area right after the junkyard route, you can finish the entire collection in one continuous loop.
That’s really the trick to this event.
