Project Silverfish List of Guaranteed Spawns Guide (WIP)

This guide lists locations where specific items always spawn in Project Silverfish. It also highlights areas with large loot clusters and gives a short overview of certain dungeon entrances.

Only meaningful items are listed here. Small random items like bolts or flares are not included.

The guide is divided into three main sections:

  • Surface Levels
  • Dungeons
  • Dream Worlds

This list is still incomplete and will likely change as more discoveries are made.

Surface Levels

1.1 Observatory / Forgotten Tunnels / Crash Site

The main point of interest at the Observatory is the entrance that leads to both Forgotten Tunnels and the Crash Site.

The gate blocking the entrance can be opened in several ways:

  • Use the key found somewhere in the area
  • Lockpick the gate
  • Parkour around it

Forgotten Tunnels

A short and fairly linear dungeon containing:

  • Zombies
  • A not-deer
  • Basic supplies

The area is filled with spores, so bring a gas mask before entering.

Crash Site

The path through the Crash Site is basically a curved line.

Along the way you will encounter:

  • Dogs
  • Three zombies carrying MP-8 weapons

There are a few MREs scattered around, but the main reward is an Eather Canister located at the end inside a closed crate marked with a red X.

On your way back you will be ambushed by an NFTA dropship that deploys soldiers.

1.2 Crossroads

1.2.1 Warehouse

Inside the warehouse office you can find:

  • A Wrench
  • Basic Armor inside a locker

Useful early in the game or for Simmi’s contract.

The office door is locked, but you can enter by:

  • Picking the lock
  • Jumping through the broken roof window
  • Using the key found on a nearby boat

1.2.2 Locked Houses

These houses can be opened using a Fire Axe.

A fire axe reliably spawns on the firefighting equipment rack nearby.

1.2.3 Artifact Package

Dig between the two stones to uncover the Artifact Package.

This is the objective for the Missing Contact contract.

You will receive 1 Star Dust when opening it.
A spade is located nearby.

1.2.4 Cistern Entrance

Entrance to Cistern (2.4).

Located in the water pipe leading into the river.

1.3 Flood Plains

1.3.1 Water Tower

At the top of the tower you will find:

  • 30-06 Rifle
  • Ammo for it

A very useful early game weapon.

1.3.2 Crater Artifact

At the center of a crater you can dig up the Lightning Rod Artifact.

Stats:

  • Value: $6700
  • Weight: 1 kg
  • Trait: Lightning Rod

A spade is required.

1.3.3 Graveyard Loot

At the graveyard you can find:

  • A spade
  • Golden Ring
  • Two Golden Necklaces

The valuables are located in two specific graves.

1.3.4 Locked Office

Contains several closets with loot.
Nothing especially valuable but worth checking if nearby.

1.3.5 RG-West / RG-East Entrances

Entrances to RG-West and RG-East (2.1) are located here.

1.4 Depot

1.4.1 Yard Master Key

Inside a train house, look on top of two lockers to find the Yard Master Key.

This key opens locked train carts across the map, making it extremely useful.

1.4.2 Military Gear Train Cart

A locked train cart on Track #9 contains:

  • 2 long crates
  • A locked armor crate

Inside the armor crate:

  • NFTA Armor
  • 2 NFTA Helmets

Early access to this gear can be extremely valuable.

You may need a crowbar to open the crate. Construction worker zombies often carry one.

Important:
Remove at least one piece of NFTA gear if you equip it. Otherwise NPCs will treat you as disguised military and may attack.

1.4.3 E-206 Entrance

Inside the building, go to the first floor north side and follow the stairs down.

This leads to Dungeon E-206 (2.2).

1.4.4 UT-308 Entrance

Located behind a boarded passage.

1.4.5 Depot Archives

Located on the third floor.

The room is locked with a Depot Worker ID card. Inside is:

  • A document explaining where the Yard Key is
  • Minor loot

Not particularly important.

1.4.6 Depot Worker ID

Inside Building 405, third floor.

Check the coat hanging on a rack and search the inside pocket.

A common way to enter the building is stacking boxes and jumping over the door.

1.5 Skeleton Coast

1.5.1 Amber Manifold

Near the first wrecked ship you will see two large water pipes leading into the ocean.

Climb into one of them to reach a hidden section.

Inside are invisible anomalies that push you backward if touched. Running quickly allows you to pass them.

Reward:

  • Amber Manifold

1.5.2 Counter-Sniper Contract

If you take the Counter-Sniper contract, the sniper appears on top of a ship.

You can:

  • Rush the ship while dodging shots
  • Or disguise yourself using Goldood Forest Insurrection gear

The sniper carries an SR-78 Sniper Rifle which you can keep after killing him.

1.5.3 Fort Leto Entrance

Entrance to Fort Leto (2.3) is located here.

1.6 Metropol

1.6.1 Egg-Head’s Lab

Located in the attic of a building.

Loot includes:

  • Eather-Flux Scanner (worth $28,000)
  • Amber Manifold
  • Star Dust
  • Fruiting Star Dust
  • Glow Sprouts ×3
  • Blue Mushroom
  • Scrap Electronics
  • Lab Sample
  • Computer Board
  • Phosphates ×2
  • Sulphates
  • Copper Wire
  • Eather Cell

Ways to enter:

  • Use Attic Lab Key from Egg-Head’s body (Bad Egg contract)
  • Parkour from the police station roof and enter through the ladder

1.6.2 Mansion

The front door can be lockpicked.

Inside:

  • 3 robotic guards
  • Paladin Brandy (Fine Vintage contract item)
  • Large amounts of whiskey
  • Gold valuables
  • Silverware
  • Worm Familiar Artifact

Stats:

  • Trait: Mindful Whispers
  • Weight: 1.5 kg
  • Value: $4500

There is also a secret tunnel leading to the bank.

1.6.3 Bank

Important areas:

Attic

  • Chests and closets

Third Floor

  • Documents

Basement Vault

  • Requires a random code

To find the code:

  1. Go to Borough
  2. Enter the locked apartment room with Bixby’s notes
  3. The code is written on a whiteboard

You can either sell the code to Mama Roach for gear, or use it to open the vault.

Inside the vault is an enormous amount of gold. Bring storage items like a Blue Tesseract.

1.7 Black Lake

1.7.1 Cabin Loot

Break in using a Fire Axe.
