Beginner Guide

Stats

Each time you increase your level, you gain an additional Attribute Point. Attribute Points are used to increase your stats and improve your survivability for more difficult fights.

Each attribute can hold a maximum of 20 points, and your character level is currently capped to 100.

What does each Stat do?

Strength: Increases your weapon’s base damage.
Dexterity: Increases your overall attack speed.
Stride: Increases your walk speed.
Strike Guard: Increase your damage resistance when attacking.

Quest

Quests are randomized and reset every hour. Higher-level quests drop rarer resources and blueprints, and completion rewards are only dropped at the end of a successful quest. To get a quest, you have to find the quest board and accept a quest.

Rewards: Different quests have different resources listed in the Completion Reward and Drop Surge. Completion rewards are only given when you complete a quest, and Drop Surges increase drop chances for the chosen items in both mob drops and chest loot.

Partying: You can play with up to three other players. To do so, you have to open your Index Menu by pressing Tab on the keyboard, navigate to the multiplayer tab, and open the Party menu. You have to keep in mind that mobs scale to the number of players, meaning if you have more party members, the mob levels will be higher than when you are solo.

Crafting Requirements

The crafting requirements of a weapon are directly tied to its lineage, and also inform you of the base material that you’ll need in order to increase its refinement grade (upgrade level). Lineages also affect the stats of the weapon. You can see more information about lineages, as well as all lineages currently in the game, in the Variants & Lineages tab.

Rarity

Weapon blueprints may often be the same lineage, but not the same rarity. Starting from uncommon, weapons will receive an ~11% increase in base damage and poise damage per rarity tier above common.
