Road to Vostok Trader Task Items Guide

If you’re progressing traders in Road to Vostok, the Generalist is the first trader that really teaches you how the game works. He doesn’t just want random loot—each task is designed to make you explore different types of items.

Below is the complete task list with proper explanation, so you know what to collect and why it matters.

Road to Vostok Trader Task Items Guide

The Generalist is basically your all-purpose trader. You can sell almost anything to him, and in return he gives useful survival gear, weapons, or utility items.

His inventory refreshes every 10 minutes, and it changes randomly each time. You can speed this up by entering and exiting your shelter, which forces a refresh.

Leveling him up does not change what items he sells, it only affects trade fees.

Generalist Task List

Prime Time

You need to deliver one toilet paper.
This is your simplest task and teaches you to loot basic household items instead of ignoring them. In return, you get a television, which is more of a unique reward than a practical one.

Bad Habits

You need to deliver cigarettes and matches.
These items are easy to overlook, but this task shows that even small consumables matter. The reward is an alarm clock, which fits the survival theme.

Backpains

You need to deliver a pillow, lotion, and a painkiller.
This task mixes comfort and medical items. It teaches you to check bedrooms and bathrooms carefully instead of focusing only on weapons. You receive Narva and batteries as a reward.

Coffee Reserve

You need to deliver coffee and a coffee filter.
This is one of the more important early tasks because it pushes you to loot kitchen areas properly. The reward includes a map, mess kit, and water bottle, which are actually useful for survival.

Sweaty Business

You need to deliver deodorant and wipes.
This task focuses on hygiene items, which are easy to ignore. In return, you get fishing gear like a vest, rod, tackle box, and a Jaeger 140, which opens up food options.

Handyman

You need to deliver lumber, toolbox, bucket, duct tape, and nails.
This is a full crafting-material task. It forces you to explore industrial and construction areas. The reward is furniture items, which help improve your base.

Six Pack

You need to deliver six beers.
This task is straightforward but slightly grindy since you need multiple of the same item. The reward is a Mosin rifle, scope, and ammo, making this one of the best early weapon rewards.

Old Friend

You need to deliver a KP-31 and a drum magazine.
This task focuses on weapon collection. You don’t need perfect condition weapons, which makes it easier. The reward is another weapon setup with ammo.

Road Trip

You need to deliver a battery, battery cables, inverter, jerry can, and oil filter.
This is one of the most important mid-game tasks because it combines mechanical and fuel-related items. It encourages you to loot garages and industrial zones. The reward is a cassette player and radio content.

Homemade

You need to deliver Kilju.
This is a crafted item, which means the game is now pushing you into crafting systems instead of only looting. The reward is an attic key, which can unlock new areas and better loot.

Important Note About Weapons

Weapons do not need to be in perfect condition for tasks. Even damaged ones will work, so don’t waste time trying to repair them before turning them in.

If you complete all Generalist tasks early, your progression becomes much smoother. You’ll unlock better gear, better survival tools, and a much clearer understanding of how the game economy works.

Most players struggle not because the tasks are hard, but because they ignore the items that matter. Once you stop doing that, everything clicks.
