Jumping back into Starfield with the Terran Armada and Free Lanes DLC feels like stepping into a whole new layer of the game. New systems, new mechanics, random encounters, and a bunch of achievements that aren’t always straightforward.
This isn’t one of those guides where you just follow steps blindly. Think of this more like a companion walkthrough someone would give you after already messing things up once and figuring out what actually matters. Some achievements are easy story completions, others are very missable, and a few depend on random encounters that can waste your time if you don’t know what you’re looking for.
Starfield Terran Armada & Free Lanes 100% Achievement
So the goal here is simple. Help you get to 100 percent without replaying hours of content or missing something small that locks you out later.
Story Achievements
These are the easiest ones because you unlock them just by playing the DLC.
Lost Luxury is your entry point into the Terran Armada storyline. You trigger it by listening to a news broadcast in a major city, so if nothing happens, just explore and interact with terminals.
Into the VOID is tied to the mission “Going Haywire.” Some players report bugs here, so if it doesn’t unlock, don’t panic. Just continue progression and it usually triggers later.
Battle of the Unifier is another story milestone. No special requirements, just complete the mission.
Important Choice Achievements
This is where things can go wrong if you’re not careful.
Greater Than requires you to defeat Delta in a duel and prove yourself worthy.
Less Than requires you to lose that same duel.
Both happen after the main DLC storyline when Delta challenges you. The smart move is obvious. Save before the duel, win once, reload, then lose.
If you don’t do this, you’ll need another playthrough.
Incursion Achievements
The DLC introduces the Incursion system, which is basically repeatable combat events across space.
You’ll unlock:
- Incursion Fighter after 5 clears
- Incursion Exterminator after 15
- Incursion Eliminator after 30
You can track these directly from the Starmap. These are grindy, but the loot is actually good, so it doesn’t feel wasted.
Upgrade & Gear Achievements
These are tied to progression systems introduced in the DLC.
Overclocked is unlocked by upgrading Delta using X-Tech. After “Going Haywire,” talk to Roxanne and upgrade him once.
Fully Equipped requires installing a ship equipment module. You get schematics from enemy ships, so boarding ships becomes very useful.
Top Tier requires applying a Rank 4 Legendary effect. The cheapest way is upgrading a helmet at a Spacesuit Workbench.
Companion & Exploration Achievements
These are easy to miss if you’re not paying attention.
Half the Battle involves finding Sarah Morgan’s action figure and talking to her. There’s a guaranteed spawn in Anchorpoint inside a vent in the engineering room.
They’re Not Toys! requires collecting action figures. You need 27 unique ones, since each has sealed and unsealed versions. These are found randomly in Points of Interest, so always loot thoroughly.
Random Encounter Achievements
Some achievements depend entirely on random encounters while flying.
Just Like Grandma Used to Make requires you to find a ship labeled “Old Woman,” board it, and eat her food.
Riddle Management is another encounter where you must answer riddles correctly to prevent deaths.
Answers are:
- Eye but cannot see → Needle
- Goes to school but not class → Fish
- Light as a feather → Breath
These encounters only appear during Cruise Mode, so spend time flying instead of fast traveling everywhere.
Quest-Based Missable Achievements
These are tied to specific quest decisions.
Stay of Execution requires you to save Caruso by convincing people and then stopping Bernhard before he kills him.
Master of Magnetism requires killing a robot using a magnet during Ivica’s quest. If you kill it normally, you miss the achievement.
Contract Killer is simple. Complete 10 bounties for the Arbitrator in Anchorpoint.
Special System Achievement
Quantum Hoarder is tied to New Game Plus.
You use the Quantum Entanglement Device to carry items into a new universe. Build it in The Lodge after completing the Artifact storyline, and your items will transfer.
This is one of the few achievements that rewards long-term progression instead of single playthrough actions.
