If you’ve been playing HumanitZ for a while, you’ve probably realized one thing fast — not all guns are created equal. Some feel strong but attract chaos. Some feel weak but are actually efficient. And then there are a few weapons that just straight-up carry your entire run.
This tier list is based on real in-game testing, focusing mainly on:
- Raw damage
- Ammo efficiency
- Ease of use
- Flexibility
Before jumping in, a few important notes.
Important Notes Before the Tier List
- Headshots are NOT considered (they are 1-hit kills anyway except special enemies)
- Ammo type matters more than the weapon itself in many cases
- No specialized ammo testing included
- Playstyle can change everything
- Snipers → stealth & range
- Shotguns → aggressive close combat
Rarity Key:
- (UR) Ultra Rare
- (VR) Very Rare
- (R) Rare
- (C) Common
Guns (Ammo Type Tier Breakdown)
12G Flare Bullets
- Flare Gun (VR)
Not really a combat weapon. Mostly utility:
- Lighting areas
- Marking targets
Damage-wise? Basically irrelevant.
.22 Ammo
- Rugar Rifle (C)
- Rugar Pistol (C)
These sit at the bottom.
- Very low damage
- Outclassed by everything else
Only usable early… and even then, barely worth it.
9mm
- S VAL (VR)
- Uzi (R)
- Glock (R)
- Pistol (C)
S VAL is the standout:
- Pre-suppressed
- High efficiency
- One of the best overall weapons
Downside: low magazine size
.45 ACP
- UMP45 (R)
- M1911 (C)
- UMP45 → decent but nothing special
- M1911 → better than starter pistol, worse than most SMGs
FN 5.7x28mm
- FN P90 (R)
- Solid performance
- Slightly weaker than UMP45 overall
Still reliable.
.357 Magnum
- Revolver (C)
- Lori 357 (R)
- Desert Hawk (C)
Second-best pistol category:
- Revolvers → strong damage
- Desert Hawk → lower damage but higher capacity & mod potential
.308 WIN
- M1 Garand (R)
- Hunting Rifle (C)
M1 Garand is elite:
- High damage
- Mod support
- Strong mid-game carry
Hunting rifle is good, just slightly weaker.
5.56mm
- MK18 (VR)
- M4A1 (VR)
- AR-15 (C)
- LMG (VR)
- L85A2 (VR)
This category is stacked.
- MK18 → best (pre-suppressed)
- M4A1 → almost equal with mods
- LMG → massive 200-round capacity, no mods
- L85A2 → slightly weaker
You really can’t go wrong here.
7.62mm
- Mowzen (VR)
- AWM (VR)
- SVD (VR)
- MINI-30 (R)
- SCAR-H (R)
- AK-47 (C)
Top-tier damage category:
- Mowzen, AWM, SVD → some of the strongest weapons in the game
- SCAR & AK → solid but clearly behind
6.8mm
- ZM7 (UR)
Best assault rifle in the game.
- High damage
- Strong overall performance
.50 Cal
- Barrett Sniper (UR)
- Gold Desert Hawk (VR)
- Barrett → highest damage sniper in the game
- Gold Desert Hawk → strongest pistol, even hits harder than ZM7
12G Shotguns
- AA-12 (UR)
- Tactical Shotgun (R)
- Sawn-off (R)
- Double Barrel (R)
- Pump Shotgun (C)
AA-12 dominates:
- Extremely high close-range damage
- Best overall weapon contender
Close range = destruction.
Special Ranged Weapons
Flamethrower (Craft Only)
- One of the strongest weapons overall
Great for:
- Crowd control
- Area damage
Grenade Launcher (VR)
- High damage + splash radius
- Situational due to limitations
RPG (VR)
- Massive damage
- Not efficient for regular use
Bows
- Compound Bow (VR)
- Hunting Bow (VR)
- Improvised Bow (Craft)
Best early–mid game tools:
- Silent
- Efficient
- Reliable
Fire arrows are situational and expensive.
Crossbow (VR)
- High cost to use (scrap heavy)
- Situational
The real gap in this game is huge:
- Top-tier weapons → 3–4x stronger than low-tier
- Compared to .22 → up to 15x weaker vs best weapons (shotguns/Barrett close-range)
That’s not a small difference — that’s game-changing.
