If you’ve been rolling through Dicero and feel like your runs either snowball hard or fall apart out of nowhere, gear is probably the reason. This game looks simple on the surface, but once you start understanding how each piece of gear interacts with dodge, counter, and HP scaling, everything clicks.
I’ve spent a good amount of time testing different setups, and I’ll walk you through what actually helps you push further consistently, not just what sounds good on paper.
Dicero Best Gear Guide – Necklaces, Boots, Armor
Before jumping into “best gear,” here’s something most players misunderstand early on:
- Rarity matters more than type early on
- A Legendary +3 non-S gear can outperform a lower rarity S-grade
- That +5% base stat bonus at Legendary +3 is a big deal
So don’t tunnel vision on S-grade. Use what you can upgrade consistently.
Best Necklaces
This slot is all about what happens after you dodge.
Top Picks:
- Beast Fang Pendant
Restores 4% HP after a successful dodge - Gemstone Necklace
Increases max HP by 1% after dodge - Oath Bearer Necklace
Reduces damage taken next turn after dodge
If you ask me, Beast Fang Pendant just carries early to mid game. That HP restore adds up way more than you expect, especially in longer runs.
Gemstone is a close second because scaling max HP is always strong. Oath Bearer sounds nice, but in practice, healing tends to outperform small mitigation.
Headgear (Scarves)
These look minor, and honestly… they kind of are. But they still help smooth runs.
Options:
- Hunter Scarf
Chance to increase max HP on kill - Vagabond Scarf
Heal if you take zero damage in a fight - Pastoral Scarf
Heal when reaching next stage
The Pastoral Scarf feels the most consistent. You’re always progressing stages, so you’re always getting value.
Hunter Scarf is okay for scaling, but RNG-based. Vagabond sounds good until later stages where avoiding damage becomes unrealistic.
Boots
Boots are tied to counter mechanics, which are extremely important in Dicero.
Options:
- Wayfarer Boots
Heal 2% HP after counter - Sentry Iron Boots
Gain shield after counter - Courier Boots
Increase attack next turn after counter
I lean toward Wayfarer Boots (healing).
- Survivability > damage in most runs
- Counters happen often if you build properly
- Healing gives you room for mistakes
Sentry boots (shield) are also strong, especially if your build leans defensive. Courier boots are fine, but damage is rarely the main issue.
Armor
Armor is more impactful than it looks.
Options:
- Forged Steel Plate
Gain 15% HP shield when entering boss stage - Scholar’s Robe
Gain shield when earning EXP - Range Leather Armor
Gain shield on turn 3
Forged Steel Plate is the safest and strongest pick.
Boss fights are where runs end. That 15% shield buffer often decides whether you survive or restart.
The other two are decent, but they don’t match that clutch boss protection.
Rings
Rings depend on what annoys you the most.
Options:
- Poet Silver Ring – More damage to Chargers
- Emeraldine Ring – More damage to Chainers
- Golden Horde Ring – More damage to Tanks
Most players struggle with Chargers (those delayed massive hits), so:
- Poet Silver Ring is usually the best pick
If Chainers are ruining your runs, switch accordingly. This slot is more personal preference than anything.
Weapons
This is where everything shifts.
There are three main S-grade weapons, and your entire playstyle changes depending on what you use.
1. Hammer (Best Overall)
- Hits all enemies at full damage
- Scales insanely well with basic builds
- Easy to make work
This is the most broken and consistent weapon in the game.
Even a lower rarity hammer can outperform others if built right.
2. Sanctus Scepter (Second Best)
- Requires combining multiple skill types
- Strong when fully set up
- More complex to play
If you enjoy building synergy and planning ahead, this one is great. But it’s less forgiving.
3. Radiance Longsword (High Risk, High Reward)
- Focuses on crit and single target damage
- Relies heavily on mythic skills
- Can hit insanely hard… but inconsistent
This weapon feels powerful, but it’s not beginner-friendly. You need the right setup, or it falls off.
Dicero rewards consistency more than flashy builds.
You don’t need perfect gear. You need:
- Reliable healing
- Solid HP scaling
- A weapon that clears efficiently
If something feels weak in your runs, it’s usually not your luck, it’s your setup.
If you haven’t tried the hammer yet, seriously… just equip it for one run. You’ll immediately see the difference.
And if your runs keep ending at bosses, switch your armor. That one change alone fixes more runs than you’d expect.
