The Spell Brigade Gold Guide – How to Farm Gold

If you’ve jumped into 1.0 and you’re already feeling that grind, yeah… you’re not imagining it. Unlocking stuff takes time, and gold is the only thing that actually matters for progression. So if you’re here, you’re probably just trying to speed that whole process up as much as possible.

Let me break it down the exact way I’ve been doing it.

The Spell Brigade Gold Guide – How to Farm Gold

First thing you need to understand, and this is important, you don’t earn gold during a run at all.

There are no drops, no pickups, nothing like that. Everything comes at the end of a run.

What decides your gold:

  • How many objectives you completed
  • How many enemies you killed
  • Whether you finished the run or not

That’s it. Those are the only factors.

With a normal setup, you’re looking at roughly 500 to 550 gold per run if things go well. With the method I’m about to explain, you can push that to around 800 to 850 gold consistently.

Increase Gold

There’s honestly just one system in the game that affects your gold income, and that’s Enchantments.

When you start, you’ll only have the first row available. Nothing special yet, just basic upgrades.

What you need to do is use those early rows to unlock the third row.

Step-by-Step Setup

Here’s exactly what I did.

Step 1: Max First Row

Start by investing into something like Max Health.

Reason being, it actually gives you more value compared to what you’d normally get during a run. You’ll notice the difference pretty quickly. It just makes surviving easier overall.

You can also grab damage here, but it’s basically the same as what you’d get from level-up choices anyway.

So yeah, max this row out.

Step 2: Max Second Row

Once that unlocks, move into the second row and max out Endurance.

This is just to push you toward unlocking the next tier. You’re not really doing this for the stat itself, it’s just a stepping stone.

Step 3: Unlock the Important One

Now you’ll unlock the third row, and this is where everything changes.

There’s an upgrade here called Bounty.

This is the only thing in the game that directly increases your gold gain.

  • It gives you 25% more gold overall
  • And more importantly, it doubles the gold you get from objectives

That second part is huge, because objectives are a big chunk of your end-run rewards.

Step 4: Refund and Rebuild

Here’s the trick most people miss.

Once you unlock that third row, it stays unlocked permanently.

So what you do now is:

  • Refund all your previous upgrades
  • Dump everything into Bounty first
  • Then spend whatever you have left however you want

This way, you’re not wasting points on early stuff that doesn’t help your gold at all.

There really isn’t some hidden trick beyond this. No secret farming route, no special build that suddenly prints gold.

This is pretty much the only reliable way to boost your income.
