If you’ve just logged into Slap Battles after the latest update, there’s actually a decent amount to check out. We finally have a brand-new slap glove, a fresh mastery for Firework, an entirely new game mode, and even a redeem code to grab.
I spent some time looking through everything that’s been added, and while some features are straightforward, others aren’t explained very well in-game (especially the new glove ability). So instead of just listing patch notes, let’s go through everything in a way that actually makes sense.
Slap Battles Daredevil Glove Update Guide – Firework Mastery, Island Swap
The biggest addition this update is the Daredevil Glove.
To unlock it, you’ll need:
- 13,250 Slaps
Once you’ve earned enough slaps, you’ll be able to purchase and equip it from the glove selection area.

- Requirement: 13,250 Slaps
- Power: 50
- Speed: 14
- Ability Key: E
Compared to many late-game slap gloves, Daredevil sits somewhere in the middle. It isn’t the fastest glove, but it offers respectable power and comes with its own unique ability.
What Does the Daredevil Ability Do?
The ability is activated by pressing E.
Right now, the game doesn’t provide much explanation, and the animation itself is fairly subtle. During testing, the effect isn’t immediately obvious, so many players may think nothing happened.
If you’re experimenting with the glove, it’s worth trying it in different situations or PvP encounters because some abilities interact differently depending on nearby players or timing.
As more players test the glove, we’ll have a better understanding of its full potential, but for now it’s best to experiment with it yourself rather than judging it after only one use.
Firework Glove Mastery Guide
The Firework Glove finally received its own mastery progression.
Like other mastery systems, you’ll need to complete several objectives before unlocking the final upgrade.
Mastery Objectives
You’ll need to complete the following:
- Hit 350 players while riding the Firework.
- Perform 100 Surprise Attacks.
- Eliminate 75 players while riding the Firework.
How to Complete the Surprise Attack Challenge
This is probably the objective that confuses most players.
A Surprise Attack counts when:
- Ride your Firework rocket.
- Jump off before reaching another player.
- Slap them within a few seconds after leaving the rocket.
Timing is important here. If you wait too long after jumping off, the attack won’t count toward the mastery.
If you’re specifically farming mastery, focus on practicing this sequence until it becomes second nature.
Firework Mastery Reward
After completing every mastery objective, you’ll unlock an upgrade for the Firework Glove.
The mastery reward includes:
- Rocket Ride improvements
- Increased flight duration
The longer flight time makes moving around the map much easier and gives you more opportunities to line up attacks before landing.
Island Swap Game Mode Explained
Another fun addition is the brand-new Island Swap game mode.
Instead of fighting on the exact same arena every match, the battlefield now changes regularly.
Here’s how it works:
- Maps rotate every 5 minutes.
- Players vote for the next island.
- Different island layouts introduce unique fighting situations.
Some islands may have tighter spaces while others provide larger areas for movement, making every match feel a little different instead of repeating the same strategy over and over.
If you’ve been playing Slap Battles for a long time, this is honestly one of the nicer quality-of-life additions because it keeps matches feeling fresh.
Bug Fixes Included in the Update
The developers also cleaned up several issues alongside the new content.
Some of the fixes include:
- Camera Glove no longer bypasses invincibility frames.
- Cameras can no longer be placed inside the lobby.
- Cameras can no longer be placed inside Hitman’s Basement.
- VIP-related issues have been resolved.
- Diamond Effect being awarded multiple times has been fixed.
- Duplicate Diamond Effects will now be removed automatically when joining the game.
None of these are massive gameplay changes individually, but together they should make matches a bit smoother and prevent several annoying exploits.

Is This Update Worth Checking Out?
I’d say yes, especially if you’re someone who enjoys collecting every glove.
The Daredevil Glove gives experienced players another milestone to work toward, Firework users finally have a mastery path to complete, and the new Island Swap mode helps keep matches from becoming repetitive.
Even though the Daredevil ability is still a bit of a mystery at first glance, it’s always fun seeing the community experiment and figure out the best ways to use new gloves. If you’re already close to 13,250 slaps, this update gives you another solid reason to keep grinding.
