The long-awaited Demonfall Update 6.0 is finally arriving, and while it isn’t a massive content expansion, it introduces some important gameplay changes that many players have been waiting for. The update focuses on reworking Flame and Shockwave, fixing several long-standing bugs, and laying the groundwork for future patches.
According to the developers, Update 6.0 is just the beginning. Instead of waiting for another large update, the game will receive smaller patches over the coming weeks to improve balance and address community feedback.
Here’s everything included in Demonfall Update 6.0.
Flame Breathing Rework
One of the biggest highlights of Update 6.0 is the complete rebalance of Flame Breathing.
The developers have adjusted various aspects of the style, including:
- Damage values
- Skill cooldowns
- Stamina costs
The goal of these changes is to make Flame Breathing feel more balanced during both PvE and PvP while improving the overall flow of its abilities.
If you’re a Flame main, it’s worth testing every move after the update since some skills may perform quite differently than before.
Shockwave Rework
Shockwave has also received a major balance pass.
Like Flame Breathing, several abilities have been adjusted through changes to:
- Damage
- Cooldowns
- Stamina consumption
These tweaks are intended to improve consistency and make the fighting style more competitive without making it overly powerful.
Players using Shockwave should expect their combos and stamina management to feel slightly different after updating.
Balance Adjustments
Besides the two reworks, Update 6.0 also includes numerous balance changes across the affected movesets.
Rather than adding brand-new abilities, the update focuses on refining existing skills so they’re better balanced against the rest of the game.
Because of these adjustments, some previously popular combo routes may no longer be as effective, while others could become much stronger.

Major Bug Fixes
Several frustrating bugs have finally been addressed.
Shinobu & Sanemi Rage Fixed
Issues affecting Shinobu’s and Sanemi’s Rage mechanics have reportedly been resolved.
Players experiencing problems with these abilities should notice them functioning correctly after the update.
Kamado Nichirin Sword Damage Disabled
The 2x damage effect from Kamado Nichirin Swords has been temporarily disabled.
This appears to be a temporary measure while the developers continue working on proper balancing.
Gyutaro Boss Fixed
The Gyutaro Boss has finally been repaired after being unavailable or malfunctioning for an extended period.
Players farming boss drops or progressing through related content should now be able to challenge Gyutaro normally again.
Lunges Fixed
Movement lunges have also received fixes.
Although the developers haven’t shared every technical detail, the update should improve consistency when using lunge mechanics during combat.
Demon Appearance Bug Resolved
Another annoying issue involved demon appearances becoming stuck and failing to update correctly.
After Update 6.0, demon customization should now function as intended without getting locked on previous appearances.
What Comes After Update 6.0?
The developers have already shared part of their roadmap.
Instead of waiting several months for another major patch, they plan to release a series of smaller updates before Version 6.5.
These include:
- Update 6.1
- Update 6.2
- Additional minor patches
These updates will mainly focus on:
- Bug fixes
- Balance adjustments
- Community-requested improvements
- Gameplay polishing
This approach should allow issues to be fixed much faster instead of waiting for one large update.
Update 6.0 is more of a quality-of-life and balance update than a content-heavy expansion, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. Reworking Flame and Shockwave, fixing long-standing bugs like the Gyutaro boss and lunge issues, and improving overall game stability should make Demonfall feel much smoother to play.
With the developers already confirming regular follow-up patches leading to Update 6.5, this release also signals a more active update schedule. If you’ve been waiting for bug fixes or wanted to revisit Flame or Shockwave after their reworks, now is a good time to jump back into Demonfall.
