If you’re just starting out in Artis Impact, welcome in. The early game throws a few systems and names at you quickly, so I’ve broken down Part 1 into a step-by-step guide that helps you progress smoothly, while not missing anything useful or important. Let’s dive right into it.
Waking Up & Leaving Home
After Akane gets up from bed, leave the house through the door at the bottom.
Once you’re outside, start following the glowing “This Way” arrows. These will guide you through the streets — you’ll be heading south, then east, and then north to reach Sunnyside Town.
Getting to the Subway
Eventually, you’ll find a police officer blocking the way to the Marketplace — talk to him.
After that, head east, pass the Sunbuck building, and find your way to the Subway entrance.
Go down the stairs and talk to the guards nearby. After the first conversation, talk to the same guard again and you’ll get access to the next area.
Your First Combat Encounter
Once you’re through, head right until you bump into a strange AI creature.
You’ll have to fight it — just use your blade and keep moving. Once it’s stunned, interact with it to land the finishing blow. Doing this gets you your first Raw Corpus (important item).
Now exit the area and go back upstairs. Talk to the police again and then leave the interrogation room. On your way out, talk to the old woman sleeping on the bench — it’s a minor moment, but adds some world-building.
From here, you’ll end up back at home. Head to bed to end the day.
The Next Day – Heading to Lith Club
Start the day by leaving your house again. Head south, then keep going east until you reach Mayval Woods.
This is where you’ll find the Lith Club.
Once inside, go through the blue door marked with a lock. Talk to Commander Nile — he’ll give you your first Blade Art. Open your menu, find it under Items, and use it to learn the move.
Before leaving, talk to Leni — she’ll give you some free potions. Also, interact with the MiniComp at the front of the building to grab your Hover Card (you’ll need this for travel).
Once you’re done here, exit the Lith Club and interact with the Hover nearby. Select your next destination: The Maze.
Exploring The Maze (Your First Dungeon)
When you arrive at the Maze entrance, check out the Warning Board to get some quick info.
Instead of diving in straight away, head two screens south — there’s a hidden abandoned cabin.
Enter the cabin (you’ll have to interact twice and then press the action button to pull the door open). Inside, there’s a chest with some useful loot.
After grabbing the items, return to the Maze and drop into the hole to enter.
Maze Navigation & Boss Fights
- Go north, then east, where you’ll fight a mini-boss called A-Lanky. Beat it and continue north to a hidden room.
- There’s a bed here to save the game. You’ll also see a slab — interact with it, and then go through the newly revealed hole.
- Inside, interact with the will next to the skeleton. This teaches you a new combat art.
- Climb the ladder to get out of that area.
Backtrack & Main Boss Fight
From the hidden room, go:
- South, then west twice, then north following the purple trail.
- You’ll find a Titanium Door (ignore the boss past it for now; it’s too strong early on).
- From here, go:
- South, south again to return to the original point.
- Then south, west, and south again.
- Now follow the red trail: west, then north, and finally west again.
Here, you’ll face the main dungeon boss — A-Plant. Once you defeat it, interact with it again to finish it off and collect the Osmium Core.
Use this to fast-travel back to the Lith Club.
Back at Lith Club – Unlocking the Workshop
Once you’re back, go to the Meeting Room and talk to Commander Nile.
After the first convo, talk to him again and he’ll give you the Workshop Keycard.
Before heading out:
- Talk to Leni again — she’ll explain Arsenic poisoning.
- Interact with the photocopier nearby for a bonus Battle Art.
Unlocking & Using the Workshop
Head north from Leni’s location to enter the Workshop. Inside:
- Turn on the light (there’s a switch on the north wall).
- Follow Leni’s instructions to upgrade your blade.
- If you want, interact with the bot cubicle to upgrade your companion as well.
Finally, return to Commander Nile once more. After talking, you’ll be given a new goal: to get the Super Screw from the Artificial World.
Opening the Artificial World
Head back to the Workshop and interact with the central console.
This unlocks the door to the Artificial World — and that’s where your next mission begins.
