In Acecraft: Sky Hero, powering up your heroes depends heavily on how well you manage gear fusions, upgrades, and pilot improvements. The system may seem complicated at first, but once you understand the order of fusions and the way rarities progress, it becomes much easier to plan your strategy. Let’s go step by step.
Acecraft Sky Hero Gear Fusion and Upgrade Guide
Gear comes in several rarities. At the very bottom, you have Gray (Normal) items, followed by Green (Good), Blue (Better), Purple (Excellent), Gold (Epic), and finally Red (Legendary/Mythic). Red items represent the highest tier currently available, though future updates are expected to introduce S-tier gear, which will surpass even red items.
How Fusion Progresses
From Gray to Purple
When fusing lower-tier items, the rule is simple: you must use three identical copies of the same gear piece. For example, three gray swords will create one green sword, three identical green swords will create one blue sword, and the same applies when upgrading blue gear into purple. At this stage, identical copies are absolutely required.
Purple and Above
Once you reach purple gear, the rules start to change. To upgrade purple items into stronger versions, you no longer need identical copies of the exact same piece. Instead, you just need two purple items from the same slot. For example, if you want to enhance a pair of purple gloves, you can fuse them with any other purple gloves. Doing this creates a Purple +1 item, which increases both stats and level cap. By repeating this process with more purple items from the same slot, you can push the gear further to Purple +2 and Purple +3.
Transition to Gold
To move from purple into gold rarity, the system becomes stricter again. You must have two identical Purple +2 items in order to fuse them into a gold piece. For example, two Subzero Protective Jackets at Purple +2 are needed to create one Gold Subzero Protective Jacket.
Upgrading Gold Items
Once you have gold gear, you can strengthen it by fusing with other gold items from the same slot, but these do not need to be identical. For instance, you can take your Gold Jacket and merge it with any other gold jacket to make it Gold +1. Continue the same process with more same-slot gold items to reach Gold +2 and Gold +3.
Unlocking Red Gear
To finally reach red rarity, you must fuse two identical Gold +3 items. Unlike earlier gold fusions, this one specifically requires them to be the exact same piece of gear. Red gear offers the highest stats in the game and is considered the ultimate equipment tier.
S-Tier Gear (Future Items)
S-tier gear starts at purple rarity but is much stronger than standard items of the same level. They can also be upgraded through the same path—Purple → Gold → Red—while maintaining significantly higher stats. If you ever obtain an S-tier item, never replace it with anything else, as it will always outperform regular gear.
Other Upgrade Systems
Gear fusion is only part of the progression system in Acecraft: Sky Hero. There are several additional upgrade mechanics to improve your overall power:
Manual Upgrades – You can use Silver Medals for standard gear, Gold Medals for amplified items, and Gear Battles for wingmen. These are primarily earned from completing quests, missions, and events.
Modify System – This allows you to spend coins to permanently increase base stats. The big advantage is that these boosts apply to all your pilots, no matter what gear they are wearing.
Pilot Amplification – When you recruit a duplicate pilot, that duplicate becomes an amplification card. Amplification has six levels. Levels 1, 3, and 6 unlock new skills, while levels 2, 4, and 5 provide strong stat boosts. Amplifying A-grade pilots is generally easier since they are more common, while amplifying rare S-grade pilots requires more resources or heavy spending.
Wingman Promotion – Wingmen can be promoted by consuming another copy of the same wingman. For example, to promote Blue Mood, you need another zero-star Blue Mood. Each promotion increases star level and provides significant stat boosts. Later in the game, you’ll unlock more advanced wingmen like Tesla, which follow the same promotion rules.
