I’ve played enough Coop TD to know that there isn’t a single unit that dominates every mode. A Demon God that feels incredible while clearing Normal and Hard can become almost irrelevant once you start pushing Abyss content. At the same time, some units that look mediocre to newer players eventually become the foundation of the strongest late-game strategies in the game.
That’s why I always tell newer players not to chase rankings blindly. Context matters. A beginner account needs consistency and easy progression, while an endgame account cares more about scaling, Liberation levels, and mode-specific utility.
This Coop TD Together Tier List focuses on how units actually perform in the current meta across Beginner content, Late Game, Demon King Castle, and Giant Invasion. Rather than simply looking at raw damage, I’ve also considered utility, economy generation, boss control, and long-term value.
S Tier
These are the units that consistently provide the most value across the game and are worth prioritizing.
Ice Knight (Beginner: S, Late Game: S, Demon King Castle: S, Giant Invasion: A)
Ice Knight is one of those units that never seems to leave the meta. No matter how many updates arrive, slowing enemies remains one of the strongest mechanics in Coop TD. Every second an enemy spends moving slowly is another second for your entire board to deal damage.
For beginners, Ice Knight makes progression significantly easier because it gives your damage dealers more time to work. In late-game content, the importance of that crowd control becomes even more noticeable. Many successful Abyss and Castle clears rely on Ice Knight creating enough breathing room for the rest of the team.
What impresses me most is how well the unit scales with investment. Some beginner-focused units eventually disappear from endgame builds, but Ice Knight remains relevant from your first few matches all the way into the most difficult content currently available.
Coin Man (Beginner: C, Late Game: S, Mob Clear: 9/10, Boss Damage: 10/10)
Coin Man is the perfect example of a unit that transforms completely depending on account progression.
When you’re new, he feels underwhelming because you simply don’t have the economy needed to unlock his potential. Once you reach the late game and start pairing him with Goblin Biker, Mimic, and other gold-generating strategies, he becomes one of the strongest carries in the entire game.
The amount of damage Coin Man can produce with a fully developed economy setup is honestly absurd. Many of the highest-end strategies revolve entirely around feeding him as much gold as possible and letting him delete everything on the screen.
Whenever players discuss the current late-game meta, Coin Man is almost always part of the conversation.
Goblin Biker (Beginner: D, Late Game: S, Giant Invasion: S, Mob Clear: 1/10, Boss Damage: 1/10)
Looking only at damage numbers completely misses the point of Goblin Biker.
His low DPS ratings are actually one of the reasons he works so well. Goblin Biker exists to generate resources, not kill enemies. The extra gold he provides is what allows Coin Man to reach ridiculous damage levels.
In Giant Invasion, he becomes even more valuable because longer fights give him more time to build resources. The strongest late-game compositions often begin with Goblin Biker because economy generation has become one of the most important mechanics in modern Coop TD.
Few units have shaped the meta as much as Goblin Biker.
Space Soldier (Beginner: D, Late Game: S, Demon King Castle: S, Mob Clear: 10/10, Boss Damage: 6/10)
Space Soldier remains one of the best wave-clearing units in the game.
His ability to stack damage and continuously scale throughout a run makes him incredibly reliable. While some newer strategies focus on economy and giant burst damage, Space Soldier continues doing what he has always done best: destroying waves before they become a problem.
For Demon King Castle, he’s practically a game changer. Many players notice a dramatic improvement in their clear rates once they invest properly into Space Soldier.
Even after all the balance changes and new releases, he remains one of the safest investments available.
Ivy (Late Game: S, Demon King Castle: S, Giant Invasion: S, Mob Clear: 3/10, Boss Damage: 9/10)
Every successful team needs a way to handle bosses, and Ivy excels at that role.
Her value isn’t measured by how quickly she clears regular enemies. Instead, she’s there to stop the dangerous bosses that end runs. Many of the most common late-game failures happen because a boss survives longer than expected, and Ivy solves that problem better than almost anyone else.
In Giant Invasion and Demon King Castle, her specialized damage makes an enormous difference. Whenever I build a team focused on consistency, Ivy is one of the first units I consider.
A Tier
These units are excellent and often appear in strong teams, but they don’t define the meta quite as much as the S Tier picks.
Cannon (Beginner: A, Late Game: S, Demon King Castle: S, Giant Invasion: S, Mob Clear: 1/10, Boss Damage: 7/10)
Cannon is one of the most important utility units in Coop TD.
Its value isn’t tied to traditional damage output. Instead, Cannon shines because of its ability to control bosses, lock important tiles, and reduce the threat posed by healing enemies.
Many difficult encounters become dramatically easier once Cannon enters the team. It’s one of those units that doesn’t always appear impressive on scoreboards but consistently contributes to successful clears.
Witch Doctor (Beginner: S, Late Game: B, Demon King Castle: S, Giant Invasion: B)
Witch Doctor has been helping players clear content for a very long time.
The attack speed buff remains incredibly valuable, especially during progression. Multiple Witch Doctors can significantly increase the effectiveness of your entire board, and the relic bonus adds another layer of utility through critical rate support.
While other supports have become more common in late-game content, Witch Doctor still finds a place in many successful builds because attack speed is universally useful.
Latest Helicopter Machine (Beginner: B, Late Game: S, Demon King Castle: S, Giant Invasion: A)
Positioning matters more than many players realize, especially in higher difficulties.
Latest Helicopter Machine gives players control over board placement while also providing valuable critical damage bonuses. In endgame content, being able to reposition important units often means the difference between a smooth run and a failed attempt.
The utility alone makes Helicopter one of the most commonly used support units in advanced teams.
Oni (Beginner: B, Late Game: B, Demon King Castle: A, Giant Invasion: B, Mob Clear: 6/10, Boss Damage: 6/10)
Oni has always felt like a dependable all-rounder.
He contributes respectable wave clearing, decent boss damage, and works well alongside several popular carries. While he may not dominate any single category, his consistency keeps him relevant across multiple modes.
Players looking for a versatile damage dealer often find good results with Oni.
B Tier
These units can perform well in the right situations and are often worth building if they fit your preferred strategy.
Mimic (Beginner: S)
Mimic remains one of the best progression units in the game.
The extra gold and mana generation accelerate account growth significantly, and the ability to cycle Mimics repeatedly creates long-term value that many newer players underestimate.
Even though it doesn’t dominate endgame tier lists, Mimic contributes heavily to helping players reach the point where those late-game strategies become possible.
Omen (Beginner: D, Late Game: B, Demon King Castle: B, Giant Invasion: C, Mob Clear: 7/10, Boss Damage: 7/10)
Omen rewards patience and investment.
Once enough stacks are built and Shadow Lord enters the battlefield, his damage becomes surprisingly impressive. The recent improvements have also made him much easier to use than before.
He’s not as universally useful as some higher-ranked options, but players willing to invest in him can achieve excellent results.
Ancient Blue Dragon (Beginner: C, Late Game: B, Demon King Castle: D, Giant Invasion: S)
Ancient Blue Dragon has become increasingly valuable as endgame content has evolved.
The critical damage support works particularly well in certain compositions, and Giant Invasion is one area where the unit truly shines. Teams pushing high-level giant content often gain substantial benefits from including him.
Eggby (Beginner: B, Late Game: C, Demon King Castle: S, Giant Invasion: S)
Eggby’s value changes dramatically depending on the game mode.
In Giant Invasion and Demon King Castle, the longer battles provide enough time to fully develop his strongest forms, making him a major contributor. Players focused on those modes should consider investing more heavily into him than the beginner rankings might suggest.
C Tier
Master Cat (Beginner: B, Late Game: C, Demon King Castle: C, Giant Invasion: B, Mob Clear: 4/10, Boss Damage: 3/10)
Master Cat has always occupied a unique position in Coop TD.
His ability to attack multiple targets and interact with specialized setups gives him some interesting uses, particularly in Giant Invasion. While he isn’t a priority investment for most players, experienced players can still find situations where he performs surprisingly well.
Clara (Beginner: A)
Clara is one of the strongest early-game carries available.
Her combination of rapid attacks, percentage-based damage, and stun effects makes progression through Normal and Hard content extremely comfortable. Many players use Clara as their primary damage dealer while learning the game’s mechanics and building stronger units.
Destroyer (Beginner: A)
Destroyer’s crowd control remains valuable regardless of account progression.
The stun utility provides excellent support for beginner teams and combines particularly well with Ice Knight for controlling enemy movement.
F Tier
Big Hand (Beginner: F)
Big Hand’s stun-focused playstyle can occasionally create interesting moments, but most players will find better results from other crowd-control options.
Scalluck (Beginner: F)
Scalluck’s gambling mechanics create a unique playstyle, but the amount of investment required makes him difficult to recommend compared to stronger alternatives.
