Crafting better equipment in Demon Born isn’t just about defeating stronger enemies. You’ll also need to gather a variety of ores, since most armor sets and several crafting recipes depend on them. The tricky part is that each ore appears in a different part of the map, and some are much harder to spot than others.
If you’ve been wandering around hoping to stumble across the right mining spot, this guide should save you a lot of time. Below, you’ll find every major ore currently used for crafting, along with the easiest way to reach each mining location.
Demon Born Ore Locations Guide – Crafting Recipes
There are seven main crafting ores currently found around the world:
- Coal
- Iron
- Deadstone Metal
- Mithril
- Black Steel
- Titanium
- Sumori
These are the ores used to craft weapons and armor. Some other materials exist in the game, but they come from bosses or treasure chests rather than mining nodes.
Coal Location
Coal is one of the first ores you’ll encounter and is one of the easiest to farm.
Starting from the Snow Village, locate the entrance with the campfire beside the gate. Follow the road straight ahead until you reach the nearby snow cave.
Coal nodes can be found close to the entrance of this cave, making them quick to mine and easy to revisit whenever you need more.
Location
- Snow Village
- First snow cave
- Near the cave entrance
Iron Location
Iron is found inside the same cave as Coal, so you can collect both materials during one mining trip.
After entering the snow cave, move toward the left side where you’ll begin finding Iron ore deposits.
Unlike some of the rarer ores later in the game, Iron mines fairly quickly and respawns regularly.
Location
- Same Snow Cave as Coal
- Left side of the cave
Deadstone Metal Location
Deadstone Metal is located in a completely different cave.
From the main Snow Village, head toward the next village by following the main road. Continue past the village until you find another cave behind it.
Inside this cave you’ll discover several Deadstone Metal deposits.
Unlike Coal or Iron, Deadstone Metal takes noticeably longer to mine, so expect to spend a little more time gathering it.
Location
- Cave behind the second village
- Multiple mining spots inside
Mithril Location
Once you’re inside the Deadstone cave, keep heading deeper until you reach the lower section.
Here you’ll notice blue-purple colored ore nodes. These are Mithril deposits.
Mithril is another slower ore to mine, but it’s an important material for advanced equipment.
Location
- Lower level of the Deadstone cave
- Blue-purple ore nodes
Black Steel Location
Continue exploring deeper into the same cave.
Near one of the side passages you’ll find darker ore deposits. These are Black Steel nodes.
The cave lighting can make them difficult to identify, so they may look almost black until you move closer.
Location
- Side passage inside the large cave
- Dark-colored ore deposits
Titanium Location
Titanium shares the same cave as Black Steel.
The two ores appear very close to one another, making this one of the best places to farm multiple rare materials during a single run.
If you’re planning to craft higher-tier armor, it’s worth spending extra time in this cave.
Location
- Same chamber as Black Steel
- Adjacent mining nodes
Sumori Location
Sumori is the final crafting ore and is located outside the mining cave.
Instead of entering the cave behind the second village, continue along the left road.
Eventually you’ll reach a fishing area with a small fish stall and a house nearby. From there, head up the hill toward the Oni cave.
You’ll find multiple Sumori nodes on the hillside.
There are usually two mining spots in this area, making it easy to collect several pieces before leaving.
Location
- Near the fishing area
- Close to the Oni spawn
- On the hill above the fish stall
Which Ores Are Used for Crafting?
The primary crafting materials are:
- Coal
- Iron
- Deadstone Metal
- Mithril
- Black Steel
- Titanium
- Sumori
These ores are required for crafting various weapons and armor throughout the game.
Some other materials shown in your inventory are not mined from ore nodes. Instead, they’re obtained from boss encounters, treasure chests, or special activities, so they aren’t included in the standard mining route.
If you’re looking to craft stronger gear in Demon Born, knowing where every ore spawns will save you a lot of time. The Snow Cave is perfect for collecting early-game materials like Coal and Iron, while the cave behind the second village contains nearly all of the rarer ores, including Deadstone Metal, Mithril, Black Steel, and Titanium. Finish your run by visiting the Sumori mining area near the fishing spot and Oni cave, and you’ll have every major crafting material needed for weapons and armor in a single farming session.
