Welcome to Escape from Ever After Collectables Guide & Walkthrough. Sun Gems and Ink Bottles are both currencies, but they serve very different roles. Sun Gems are spent at the Cheshire Cat for exclusive moves and badges and Ink Bottles are spent at Helga to upgrade your moves.

This guide assumes:

• You already finished most of the story
• You are cleaning up missing Journal entries
• You are cross-checking numbers rather than following natural progression

Sun Gem numbering is mostly arbitrary. Ink Bottles are more naturally ordered.

Sun Gems (1–70)

There are 70 total Sun Gems. Many are hidden just outside camera view, behind walls, or tied to side quests.

Chapter / Office / Early Areas

1. Found at the start of Chapter 3 in Accounting, on an overhang.
2. Burn the wall banner with the Sun Gem icon in Accounting.
3. Behind an office cubicle wall in the foreground.
4. Help the man with his computer. Warning: if you talk to him again when he is angry, he takes it back. Spend it immediately.
5. Blow out the torches in the office after lighting them earlier.
6. Grow leafy hair on the coworker using Wolfgang (appears after Chapter 1).
7. Complete the Pinocchio Birthday Party side quest.
8. Behind the staircase in the castle courtyard.
9. Behind the staircase in the very first room of the game.
10. Buy the Fedora and Suit from Dracula, then speak to Beatrice.

Library / Forbidden Areas

11. On bookcases on the top floor of the Library near the Forbidden Section door.
12. Behind Tinder’s bed in her bedroom, accessed via Eva and a short parkour section.
13. Burn the Sun Gem banner above the server room (requires chain trade up to Loaded Dice).
14. Reward for completing “Report to HR” after Chapter 3.
15. Behind a cubicle wall in HR.
16. Use a spring, then Flynt’s buckler to grab it on top of storage units.
17. Use Wolfgang to grow a plant and pull the gem directly from the sun.
18. Automatically collected (author forgot screenshot).
19. Behind a storage container at the Construction Site.

Ink Bottles (1–30)

Ink Bottles are generally easier to find and more logically ordered.

1. Tinder’s dungeon treasure room.
2. Main story reward.
3. Use Wolfgang on lily pads early area.
4. Bought from Happy Hollow Library upstairs shop.
5. Overhangs accessed with Wolfgang.
6. Beatrice side quest (answer: 18 wolves).
7. Pipe shortcut east of Construction Site.
8. Apple puzzle in Enchanted Forest (ride apple).
9. Bought at Sun Gem shop.
10. Blow out Library fireplace or break Accounting wall.
11. Buy from wolf farmer after Chapter 1.
12. Burn banner outside Forbidden Library.
13. Dock in foreground using Eva.
14. Light fireplace in Innsbeak Library.
15. Seal transformation behind submerged house.
16. Parkour on the way to lighthouse.
17. Innsbeak sewers, use Wolfgang on lily pad.
18. Left chest at top of lighthouse.
19. Talk, seal transform, talk again.
20. Chest above server room (Loaded Dice required).
21. Port Cutlass water cave behind waterfall.
22. Puzzle with Patches.
23. Chest near Flynt’s landing site.
24. Chest in Patches’ Forbidden Library section.
25. Free Patches cell #3, then open cell #1.
26. Swamp with rotating ice platforms.

Ember Stones (3 Total)

Used by the golem in Tinder’s Dungeon to fuse Attack + Defense Trinkets.

1. Free alien in R&D cell #2 → buy weird gear → deliver to spaceman cave.
2. Patches puzzle (same as Ink Bottle #22).
3. Stairs to Success Floor 40 reward.

Every Attack Boost Trinket

• Fix the windmill by playing Wolfgang’s wind song at the top.
• Buy with 12 Sun Gems at Cheshire Cat.
• Complete chain trade and give piggy bank after “Our Living Situation”.

Every Defense Boost Trinket

1. Defeat Grandma.
2. Complete “An Urgent Matter” side quest and sacrifice office worker.
3. Scammer email questline → dungeon choice #4.
4. Buy for 9 Sun Gems at Cheshire Cat.

Inventory Upgrades (4 Total)

1. Buy at Sun Gem shop.
2. Buy at Happy Hollow Library upstairs.
3. Found after taking the forge elevator.
4. Buy at alien shop after freeing alien cell #2.
