Far Far West Canyon Secret Guide – All Medal Locations

So if you’ve been roaming around Canyon wondering what that locked door is hiding, you’re not alone. That little mystery actually leads to one of the coolest secret unlocks in Far Far West — the Pigpick Joker and a ridiculously strong hidden pickaxe. The catch? You’ll need to hunt down four scattered medallions first.

Let’s walk through it like a real player would, step by step, without the confusion and random wandering.

Where the Canyon Secret Starts

Right in the southern-middle area of the map, there’s a locked door with empty medal slots. That’s your main objective spot.

Nearby, you’ll notice a dead sheriff holding a wanted note. The note isn’t just lore fluff — it gives you the names of the three partners whose medallions you must collect:

• Bobby the Dynamiter
• Johnny Hawkeye
• Sweaty the Gold Prospector

And yes… the sheriff himself also has one. So technically, you’re hunting four medals total.

Sheriff’s Medal (The Freebie One)

Let’s start with the easiest.

Standing right next to the locked door, you’ll find the sheriff’s body. Simply interact with him and grab the medallion — no puzzle, no combat, no tricks. Just a quick pickup to get you started.

One down already. Nice.

Gold Prospector Medal Location

Next stop takes you under the bridge area toward the lower part of the canyon.

Once you drop down, you’ll find the prospector’s body nearby. The twist here is that he buried his medal before dying. So instead of just grabbing it, you’ll need to dig.

Here’s how it works:

• Look for multiple digging spots around the area
• Most of them show skull markers (these are fake spots)
• The correct one is located toward the southern side near the cliff edge

Grab the shovel first, dig the correct spot, and you’ll uncover his medallion.

It’s honestly more about paying attention than difficulty.

Bobby the Dynamiter Medal

This one sits near a mine shaft under a broken bridge. You’ll spot gray rocks blocking the entrance — that’s your clue you’re in the right place.

The process here is pretty straightforward:

• Pick up dynamite nearby
• Light it and toss it at the rock barriers
• Keep blasting until the path opens fully

Once you clear the tunnel, Bobby’s medallion is waiting inside.

No tricky mechanics, just some good old boom-boom action.

Johnny Hawkeye Medal (The Most Annoying One)

Now comes the one that usually frustrates players.

Head toward the west side of the canyon, where you’ll find a safe showing the number “10.” That number tells you exactly what needs to happen.

Scattered around the area are 10 bullseye targets, and you must hit all of them to unlock the safe.

These targets are hidden in sneaky spots:

• On top of rock formations
• Behind structures
• Under zip lines
• Around wooden platforms
• Near minecart tracks

Some are very obvious, while others require careful scanning of the environment.

Once you hit all ten, the safe opens and gives you Hawkeye’s medallion.

This is definitely the most time-consuming part of the entire secret.

Unlocking the Canyon Secret Door

With all four medals collected, return to the locked door.

Place each medallion into its matching slot, and the door will finally open — revealing the hidden reward chamber.

And yes… the rewards are absolutely worth the effort.

Pigpick Joker & Secret Elder Pickaxe

Inside the room, you unlock two major things:

First comes the Pigpick Joker, which gives a 5% chance on hit to spawn damaging pickaxes. It’s one of those passive effects that feels small at first… until it suddenly starts shredding enemies mid-fight.

Then there’s the real star — the Secret Elder Pickaxe.

This weapon hits insanely hard, especially against bosses. One swing can chunk huge portions of HP, and during certain boss phases, it almost feels unfair how quickly it melts enemies.

The only downside?

You have to walk while carrying it instead of using mounts. Thankfully, minecarts help you move faster when needed.

Honestly, this secret feels like one of those classic “reward the curious” moments. Nothing is overly difficult, but the map size and hidden elements can make it confusing without guidance.

Once you know where everything is though, the entire process flows smoothly — and the payoff makes it one of the most satisfying secrets in Far Far West.
