The Jungle’s Echo update in FISCH adds a new explorable island zone, a collectible bone-hunting event, and even a secret rod skin. This guide will show you how to find every bone location, where to fish, and what to do once you collect them.
How the Bone Hunt Works
Speak to the Jungle Adventurer NPC on Jungle’s Echo Island (past Sunstone Island and Roslit Bay).
The NPC will mention that he has already collected some bone artifacts but needs help finding the rest.
Your goal: Fish at specific locations around the map to collect bones hidden in different regions.
After catching each bone, return to the NPC to hand it in.
Once all bones are returned, you may unlock a secret rod skin or event-exclusive rewards.
All Bone Locations
There are five bones in total. You’ll need to visit and fish at each of the following locations:
1. Roslet Bay
- Location: Near Roslet Bay shore
- How to Find Bone: Cast your rod and fish normally until you randomly catch a bone
- Bone Name: Likely tied to the Roslet region (e.g. Roslet Skull)
Once caught, return to the Jungle Adventurer to turn it in.
2. Sunstone Island
- Location: Around the coast of Sunstone Island
- Tip: Fishing may take time — bone drop is random
- Recommended: Use a fast rod and stay patient
Return to the NPC after catching it to deliver.
3. Mush Grove Swamp
- Location: In or around Mush Grove’s swampy water zones
- How to Know You’re Close: Look for swampy visuals or check your map
- Bone Type: Likely named “Swamp Skull” or something similar
Same process — fish until you pull up the hidden bone.
4. Forsaken Shores
- Location: In the eerie waters of Forsaken Shores
- Bone Type: Possibly “Mossjaw Skull” (as shown in the video)
- Visual Clue: You’ll see this labeled in your Bestiary after obtaining
Deliver it back to the Jungle NPC to make progress.
5. Moosewood
- Location: Near Moosewood’s coast or deeper waters
- Bone Name: Not revealed, but confirmed as part of the required five
- Reminder: Bone drops are not instant — continue fishing until you find it
Once found, return to the island to complete your fifth turn-in.
Tracking Bone Progress
You can view your bone progress by opening your Limited Bestiary.
Look under the Jungle’s Echo category to see which skulls or bone types you’ve already collected.
Secret Rod Skin (Silver Rod)
After turning in bones, players may unlock a Silver-themed rod skin as a bonus. This was shown briefly in the video (referred to as the Silver Anal Rod) and appears to be tied to completing some or all bone hand-ins.
Make sure to:
- Check your inventory or rod skins tab
