Hell Clock 100% Achievements Guide & Walkthrough

Welcome to the ultimate Hell Clock achievement guide. Whether you’re diving into this surreal, action-heavy journey for the first time or hunting down those last few tricky unlocks, this guide will walk you through every achievement — from story progression to missable secrets and boss challenges.

CAMPAIGN-RELATED ACHIEVEMENTS (ACTS I, II, III)

Old Companions

Rescue João Abade
You’ll find João locked in a cell during Act I. Interact with him when you pass by and this will unlock immediately.

The Merchant

Defeat the Merchant
You’ll encounter the Merchant boss naturally during Act I. Beating him also opens the path to a missable achievement (Art of the Deal), so keep that in mind.

Historical Reparation

Repair the Great Bell
After defeating the Merchant, return the quest item to João at the house in the lobby. Ring the bell to unlock this one.

Maternal Instinct

Defeat the Matriarch
She’s the third boss of Act I. Dodge her AoEs and keep circling her — stay mobile and watch for telegraphed attacks.

The Head-Cutter

Defeat the Head-Cutter
Final boss of Act I. Not too complex. Prioritize adds (enemy spawners) when they appear and watch out for his arena-wide slams.

The Coward

Defeat Tamarindo
He runs in your first encounter. Progress through Act II until João Abade joins you — together, you’ll take him down.

Back Home

Open Canudos’ Gate
Slay Tamarindo to acquire the Key to Canudos. This grants access to the next area and this achievement.

Banquet in Hell

Defeat Urubu
Urubu’s got heavy HP but is manageable. Stay at a distance when he fires projectiles, and keep moving to avoid getting overwhelmed.

Seeking Purpose

Receive Benta’s Blessing
Once Pajeú collapses in Act II, return to the lobby where Benta grants you the power of Constellations (and opens up three more achievements related to paths).

The Minister

Defeat the War Minister
Final boss of Act II. Huge HP pool. Dodge his dashes, avoid the spin attacks, and take your time.

Pseudoscience

Find the Doctor of Death
This will unlock naturally early in Act III.

Final Destination

Enter the Seven O’Clock Train
After defeating Nina’s Lackey, you board the train and the achievement unlocks.

Stop the Train!

Defeat the Machinist
Train boss, over 250 million HP. His attacks are clearly marked — read the ground and dodge accordingly.

The Doctor of Death / Our Legacy

Defeat Dr. Nina Rodrigues & Rescue the Soul of Antônio Conselheiro
Both unlock together after finishing the final boss fight in Act III. Congratulations — campaign completed!

MISCELLANEOUS ACHIEVEMENTS

Tomb Raider

Defeat a Scavenger
Scavengers glow yellow and drop loot when attacked. Kill them before they vanish!

Future Investments

Buy a Blessing of the Future
Find the statue with one hand up and a glowing orb. Buy an equipment mid-run from it.

Shortcut

Unlock the Red Portal
Access this after getting the Red Portal node from the Great Bell. Use it once and the achievement pops.

Truly Blessed

Equip all available blessings for a single skill
You need 1 epic, 2 rare, 3 uncommon, and 4 common blessings on a single skill. The skill UI will indicate your progress.

Solid Foundation

Buy all blessings from one path in the Foundation
Each upgrade costs increasingly more gold. Fully purchase a single upgrade path (total: 15,300 gold).

DAMAGE ACHIEVEMENTS

Tough Guy

Deal 30,000 damage in one hit
Achievable in Act II. Stack relics or use Temple of Power.

Tough Northeastern

Deal 100,000 damage in one hit
Same strategy as above — likely in Act II or early Act III.

Hardly Trying

Deal 7,777,777 total damage in one run
Will happen naturally during your full campaign playthrough.

Tryhard / Tryharder

Deal 77M / 777M total damage in a single run
Again, part of normal progression with the right builds and relics. By endgame you’ll easily cross these thresholds.

CONSTELLATION ACHIEVEMENTS

Each requires completing a full Constellation path by collecting nodes:

  • The Path of Discipline
  • The Path of Fury
  • The Path of Faith

How to Get Constellation Points:

Found in Act III’s Cursed Temples (initially 12 available). You can only complete two constellations per run. To get the third, ascend to endgame or start a new save file.

THE VERY MISSABLE ACHIEVEMENT

Stay A While and Listen

Talk to all spirits in Act III
This MUST be done before defeating the final boss for the first time. Look for spirits with exclamation marks over their heads — talk to all of them on every floor through the train. Safe mode is allowed, and it’s advised to speak with bosses’ spirits in the lobby too, just in case.

BOSS MISC ACHIEVEMENTS (SAVE-FILE SPECIFIC)

These must be completed on your first world/save before ascending. If missed, restart a fresh save.

Art of the Deal

Defeat the Merchant on your first run
Focus on high-damage early builds. Split Shot + Reflexes is a solid combo.

Guillotine

Defeat the Head-Cutter in 7 or fewer runs
Speed through Act I. Focus relics and skills into DPS. Avoid experimental builds.

Red Tie

Defeat the Minister in 14 or fewer runs
Achievement only triggers after your second kill, so complete two full Act II runs under 14 total.

Swift Rescue

Defeat Nina’s Monster in 21 or fewer runs
Just finish Act III before run 21. No fancy tricks, just keep the pace up and don’t restart too often.

RECOMMENDED BUILD: SPLIT SHOT GUARD (INSANE DPS)

Skills:

  • Split Shot
  • Summon The Guard
  • Shadow Dash / Passage
  • Closed Body
  • Prayer of Vengeance

Key Relics:

  • Stolen Guard – Makes the Guard shoot your Split Shot
  • Blunderbuss – Converts Split Shot to a powerful single shot
  • Spearhead – Adds piercing to Split Shot
  • Call of the Guard – Doubles summoned guards for short bursts
  • Garrison Supplies – Grants +100% projectiles when using Prayer of Vengeance

Constellation Path:

  • Ogum (Fury) – Final node makes all skills free to cast when active

Tips:

  • Stack projectile damage and relics that boost close-range or Marksman bonuses
  • Rare relics can stack — double up on good ones!
  • Late-game you’ll hit 15M+ damage per shot and obliterate bosses in seconds

Hell Clock is more than just a grindy roguelite — it’s a deep, narrative-rich, and surprisingly technical game when it comes to builds. With this guide, you’re fully equipped to clean house and 100% it without missing a beat.
